Llandudno Bay Hotel

The whole experience at the Llandudno Bay Hotel was excellent. The doggy friendliness was something we had not experienced before when we have stayed at other hotels, even down to a freshly cooked sausage for the dog. The outside area for an early evening drink was good along with the lounge facilities. Everything we wanted in the room which was very well decorated and comfortable. Will definitely return.

We had a double bed room clean and equiped with all you needed for your stay. Enjoyed the sea view. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good, breakfast also very good. We personally do not have pets but the hotel was pet friendly and there is a pet friendly bar area. Parking along the seafront outside the hotel. The hotel did not have its own car park. Enjoyed our three night stay. Thank you to the staff. Dave and Sharon.

Good Location. Unfortunately the building still was covered with scaffolding

Great location on promenade. Good for the local concert hall and only 15 mins or so walk to pier but very close to lots of restaurants one street back. Very clean and comfy and staff friendly. En-suite in standard room was petite so bear that in mind; and there is currently building work (which has to happen) but again be mindful especially if you book see view room. Scaffolding outside window.

Parking was difficult as you have to park on the promenade. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The staff are brilliant, every one of them couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. All toiletries are of very high quality as is the dining area too. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was nice - parking was a pain (spaces in front of the hotel seemingly never freed up) - keep that in mind if you plan on driving, though there is public parking (paid) a couple blocks away at the Venue Cymru

Tired hotel being renovated by the looks of it and scaffolding outside. Curtains with gaps so sun streams in, room too hot and couldn't cool down as temp gauge didn't work and window didn't open.Room very cramped and dangerous slope over desk where you hit your head. New bathroom design strange as towel dropped off heating rail into toilet overnight and was nowhere but the floor to put toiletries. No fan in bathroom to defog. Noisy in corridor with visitora talking loud early in the morning as they passed the room. Main areas look noise and refurbished. Insects inside window on arrival and seagulls unfortunately had soiled all the window with the sea view. Maybe just done after the clean but annoying.Room 302. Rooms just way too small.

Excellent hotel in a quieter part of Llandudno.. all the staff were great, the room was adequate enough Wii lovely sea views and the lounge / bar area was really nice too.. the outside seating was a really good spot to enjoy an Aperol Apritz too.. enjoyed it.

Great stay. Really comfy bed. Nice toiletries and well-stocked tea tray. The lift is SO slow!

The hotel site states free parking so we expected a car park. There is no car park. The free parking is actually in the street and due to the location it is almost impossible to find a parking space close to the hotel. Hotel is a bit tired. Staff were nice.

Room was really clean and lovely tea, coffee etc.

Staff all very friendly, couldn’t fault them. Room very small, in need of decorating and deep clean. Same as pet friendly dining room lots of stains on the carpet and needed a good Hoover. Breakfast average, cooked breakfast not cooked to order was dry and only warm. Charge for a dog at £15 per night was extortionate. A very average hotel trying to be a 4 star

Room was spotless and comfortable. Lovely views too. My cockapoo was in her element looking out of the window. Check in was easy and very informative.

The room was immaculate and light,i love the original sash windows. Staff all very friendly, and we had lovely evening meals. The sea views were wonderful. Very comfy bed, and,a bath is always an added bonus. Our dog was made very welcome too.

Slow check-in process, had to complete all contact having already submitted it. Offer of water reception, great idea however not refreshed, clearly stale and lemons were waxed not unwaxed. Advised not to use the lift because it “wasn’t great” when staying on the 3rd floor. Runner on bed stained and not clean. Floor was dirty Thermostat turned off. Pillows were lumpy. Shower leaked large of water onto bathroom floor. Bathroom door had holes in the base. General upkeep - poly filler holes from maintenance not sanded or painted: looked shabby. General paint work stained, chipped and poor upkeep.

Room was spotless but a little small on the third floor. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Not the first time we have stayed here and it won’t be the last.

Hotel is desperate need of a good clean. Externally looks great but inside is a different story altogether. Room (307) was dusty, coffee machine should be thrown out (it was that dirty/unhygienic), cups and teaspoons hadn’t been cleaned (presumably from the previous occupancy), bathroom door looked like it had been splashed with toothpaste and the window needed cleaning both inside and out. Told the lady on reception about the coffee machine,cups and spoons and the unclean bathroom door on the first morning. I was told she would tell housekeeping to sort everything out, so we left for the day hoping to come back to a much cleaner room. When we returned none of the issues had been addressed, so we cleaned the cups, spoons and door ourselves, and didn’t use the coffee machine throughout our stay. Really disappointed as we stayed here before the pandemic and it was lovely, but it seems the new owners are more interested in spending money on a new spa area, rather than looking after and maintaining what they already have.

I love Llandudno and have stayed at the Llandudno bay hotel numerous times. The only complaint I have is the beds are quite high. Not great for my 78 year old auntie who came with me. The pillows are lumpy and the carpet in the dining room could do with a good clean.

Beautiful hotel could of been a lot cleaner not just the bedroom but down the stairs hand rail need really good clean paint work poor but we really had a good holiday staff were lovely would come again for holiday just need to pay cleaner a bit more money ?

Stayed in room 107 and it was not a let down. Fantastic views and a lovely spacious room. Nice to have a fridge in the room.Definitely will stay again.

Shower size is unreasonable for average sized people.

Room and bathroom were small. Shower cubicle was uncomfortably small. However all adequate for a couple of nights. See view was as promised. The downside of the room being at the front was that one night's sleep was interrupted by people on the terrace until the early hours.

On arrival, the guy on reception was great - funny and welcoming. He wished me a Happy Birthday and gave us lots of info. The Deluxe Double is lovely decor, clean and fresh and facing the sea -whats not to like?! The room had a coffee machine and a little fridge with some great extras....although they might want to add a decaf coffee pod to the machine. I didn't use it as I can't cope with full caffeine and I think alot of people are the same these days. The room was nice and dark but I couldn't sleep because the pillows were so lumpy. It was like sleeping on a sack of potatoes....so that was a downer. Then, next morning, the breakfast service wasn't great either. They were really rushing us through the process and brought the cooked breakfast out when we'd only just started our cereal. I sent it back until we were ready but it was a bit dry upon return. I offered feedback on the pillows on checkout to a woman called Sophie who genuinely couldn't have cared less. She just stared at me about the pillows with no comment and then just played the defensive card with every excuse under the sun. Do people not understand that if there was a bit of empathy I would have left it there but her attitude made the whole thing worse! Customer Service is an art form, but Llandudno Bay didn't cut it unfortunately. I've done that job myself and when customers feel listened to, it makes a big difference. So, none of the issues are massive but left a sour note. 2nd visit but possibly the last!

Hot room and very hard to walk around room as ceiling very low in parts. Fan supplied but to noisy to keep on all night

We had a basic room at the back of the hotel. It served its purpose it was clean bed was comfy and facilities in room were good. The room was compact but value for money. If you want a bit more I’d pay for a sea view the rooms were much brighter although still compact.

Hotel and surroundings are impeccable. Staff and breakfast was amazing. We were allocated a room on top floor 315 The rooms are small and in our opinion this room should have been single occupancy. The bed was pushed up against a wall so you couldn’t get out either side and when my husband tried to get out he would hit his head on the slanted roof. We are late 40s and still agile however I doubt elderly or less agile would cope.

The view over Llandudno Bay was stunning and the room was comfortable. Would definitely come again.

Very clean. Lovely bedroom. Bathroom was tiny. Shower cubicle and toilet squeezed in: not great. Some people wouldn't be able to use either facility

I had a very lovely time at this place. Staff were very kind and extremely helpful — they arranged for transport, offered breakfast, and were overall full of information and made feel right at home. Thank you, will recommend to everyone!

This hotel is fantastic in every way! The accommodations are lovely, the food is superb, and the staff, especially Kane, are welcoming and very kind. I cannot wait to go back for a visit!!

We received a really warm welcome - in fact all the staff were very friendly. The room was great and had everything we would need although it was quite warm. There was a good selection for breakfast and all well cooked and presented. Would recommend.

They were really rushing us through the process and brought the cooked breakfast out when we'd only just started our cereal. I sent it back until we were ready but it was a bit dry upon return. She just stared at me about the pillows with no comment and then just played the defensive card with every excuse under the sun. Very friendly staff who go out of their way to make your stay memorable.

The whole experience was excellent, all staff were helpful and friendly. 3 remain in my mind, Kane was very helpful when I arrived and went above and beyond to make sure I would be comfortable. Daisy in dining room was really friendly ensuring I was ok as a lone diner and lastly lovely Vanessa on housekeeping always had a cheery greeting and beautiful smile.

The staff in reception, dinning room and the bar were all extremely helpful, going out of their way to help.

A lovely hotel on situated towards the northern end of the promenade in Llandudno. The communal areas both inside and out are lovely and the staff are very friendly. The food served in the restaurant is tasty and well priced. We paid for breakfast to be included and it was delicious. We had a room with a sea view located at the front of the property and it was lovely and clean. The bed was very comfortable, too. I have stayed at this property multiple times and would recommend it. Parking is also free outside the hotel, but it is first come first served. O

A very long walk to the centre of town but a lovely walk along the promenade

Great service and clean! I arrived late, past 1am. They greeted me at the door and made sure I got to my room ok. I stayed for 2 nights. The location is perfect for walking on the beach, to the pier, and for dining. I would happily stay there again. I had the smaller twin room and was perfectly comfortable.

We have just had a fantastic stay at the Llandudno bay hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, brilliant location and tasty breakfast. Parking was easy along the promenade. Definitely worth paying for a sea view room to just sit and watch the world go by.

The Llandudno Bay Hotel was right on the seafront. It was located in a very nice area. The hotel was serviced by friendly and welcoming staff and the property well maintained and presented. The dining service was good with a good menu. Parking outside on the promenade was free. Venue Cymru is nearby if you are attending a performance, This is a good hotel and I intend to stay there again

Absolutely brilliant , staff wonderful, room very comfortable, breakfast superb. Location of hotel awesome. What a beautiful hotel , loved everything , Thankyou

Food was very good

Our room contained all we needed with good views of the coast. We thought the price for desserts was a little ambitious bearing in mind the size of the portions. Otherwise all good. Tim Warner

The service was excellent a young man called Simon was very attentive,as where all the staff.The hotel was lovely and warm even though it was very cold outside.Food was nice but do think the menu needs a change for evenings .Maybe a veg lasagna as I'm a vegetarian.

Really lovely hotel, bright and modern rooms but retaining original charm. All the staff were really helpful and friendly and the food despite being on the cheap side was fantastic.
