The hotel apartment block was located very close to the underground. The complex is very modern and to a high standard. The room itself was of a very high standard, nothing was missing as far as equipment was concerned. The kitchen gavecus the possibility of acquiring groceries from the local supermarkets. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We found the gym a positive feature. A dishwasher and washing machine were part of what was available in the room Excellent.

Leman Locke is a great hotel in an interesting neighbourhood. There's a tube stations about 200m away, it's walking distance to Liverpool station and there are loads of eating options around. I would describe the property as an apartment hotel. There's a small kitchen, dining and sitting area along with a very spacious bathroom and a sleeping area. The thoughtfulness ranges from the convenience of each unit having a laundry machine to numerous spots with USB plugs around the room. The service at the front desk is friendly and efficient. The hotel also has a great coffee shop on the ground floor.

During our whole stay only one elevator worked Every time we wanted to go up or down , it was a long standing in front of elevator which was so irritating and during one week they took no action to fix it At least I didn't see anything being done. The lobby is very small. Room was very small. Bed was small. I couldn't sleep well with my partner. In addition I've got to learn that if request room service you have to pay additional fees. I've never ever stayed in a hotel that I have to pay extra. I requested towels it never came. We had to use same towels for the whole week. They don't have housekeeping serivce included in the fees which is so terrible Never coming back here. My stay was awful

Everything is perfect, staff are all very helpful and polite, room very clean, cooking utensils very sufficient, only one thing that annoyed me was the lifts, every time need to wait for a long time, the lifts ran extremely slow, I even waited over 5 minutes for the lifts to come!

This was a good choice to be close to the underground, and to a few good places for food (ramen mostly). The room and bathroom were spacious and the kitchen was fully equipped. The gym was outstanding, amazing equipment and totally a benefit. I'm only giving it three stars because of the air quality. You cannot open windows, the hallways stink and the air conditioning was good, but it's never great to have aircon running the whole time. And then there's no cleaning - it's an apartment more than a hotel, so although you can get towels, it wasn't clear when I booked it that this would be the case. The staff were very nice and friendly but it was just not quite what I was expecting.

Great apart-hotel. Well equipped and safe. Had a gym and a cafe. Rooms were comfortable, had all appliances, utensils etc and fast wifi. The views were not that impressive but the hotel is very well located and a stone’s throw away from the tube station and bus stops.

It has a great location near Aldgate East tube station. Close to brick lane and Shoreditch. Plenty of groceries nearby. Loved the gym access. Room was spacious and clean. Great amenities.

Stayed here for nearly a month and enjoyed it a lot. The apartments are spacious, and very well appointed for an extended stay. From the little kitchen, appliances, utensils, storage space in bedroom and bathroom, WiFi, etc. I couldn't want for more. The staff was excellent and accommodating - they provided me with extra utensils and cutlery when asked, dropped off fresh towels and cleared out trash when requested, and cleaned the unit every Sunday as promised. Even the gym was great, with free weights, cable machine, and barbell rack. The bed may be the only thing that could do with a mattress topper, but it was fine for most part. I'd stay here again even for a few days next time I'm in London. Close to tube stations, and grocery stores within 1-2 min walking distance.

The hotel was easy to find - although the entrance wasn't obvious and was close to Aldgate East tube station. However, one issue that didn't get resolved was the plumbing system - right from the start the toilet did not flush correctly, even paper would not disappear completely. We also had an issue with the shower draining and on two occasions the bathroom floor become flooded - the hotels solution was to let us have a mop & bucket!

At check in the reception told us the rooms are not cleaned every day which was unfortunate but I’m not sure if that was mentioned on the booking page. The rooms are spacious and initially seem very clean. But upon closer inspection the sofas have a lot of stains and the bathroom floor and room floor don’t seem very clean either. I requested extra towels and slippers one morning and waited for a couple hours before I left for the day and when I came back they still had not been delivered. Overall location was good. Check and check out was seamless. Bed sheets were clean. Probably wouldn’t stay here again due to the cleanliness.

The room was quite large and newer. It had nice kitchen and laundry amenities and a lovely large window to let in the light. Some of the staff were very helpful with our getting around in London questions. They had difficulty providing us with keys that would work consistently and could not help us with setting the air conditioning setting. The room was clean with the exception of the sofa. The area immediately surrounding the property was new and lovely, but venturing further out the area was dirty and there seemed to be concerns about crime, as indicated in a sign erected by police at a local park.

The accommodation itself was very nice and modern. The staff were also very friendly most of the time. The view of the city is great and the underground station is directly in front of the hotel. The room is equipped with a washing machine and dishwasher and there is everything else you need. A magnifying mirror in the bathroom would be great. In the bathroom there is only one socket for a shaver so you can't blow-dry your hair there. We were staying for 6 days and the room was not cleaned. It only happens once a week, which we think is an exception in a 4* hotel. Every 2-3 days should be possible. New towels are available on request, the garbage is also emptied on request, but the old towels were not cleared away. There were four garbage bags with leftover food in the hallway in front of another room and these were not removed either. Attention should be paid to this. Overall it was a nice stay!

Staff: The staff at the front desk were amazing! They answer all questions and provide whatever you need when asked. Room: The furniture in the room is extremely uncomfortable and do not look between the cushions. The bathroom had black mold in the silicon of the shower and it did not drain properly so when you showered you were standing in about an inch of water. The fridge smelled fowl as they turn it off between stays. The bed is very uncomfortable with flat pillows. The TV does not have the proper pull out mount on it, so it is a bad view from the bed, the cable management also needs so help. Gym: The gym is extremely small for the amount of guests who can stay here. The cardio equipment is also very limited. You could barely move in there and there was not anything to wipe down the machines with. Surrounding Area: The hotel is located very close to the tube which made it very convenient to get around. We appreciated an early check in and kind staff, but the bathroom for our apartment was awful. The sink was clogged and shower area wasn’t fixed well and water was flooding everywhere in the bathroom after each shower. We informed them, they came for a repair the sink but it didn’t work and they changed our room to another and it was the same story again. We lost one day of our short trip because of this inconvenience for a place that we reserved a few months ahead.

Expectations are high having stayed here before, but fell short this time. Check in asked for an actual credit card (not from the phone/Apple Pay) which was sorted. The sofa in our room was soaking wet and unusable and we had to ask for a change of room. New room was great, except it was roastingly hot. The air conditioning panel didn't work and there were no instructions as to how to use it. With no phones in the room, there was no ability to ask for help or support. We subsequently spent a sleepless night in a stifilingly hot and stuffy room. This was flagged at reception on check out but other than, "ok thanks for telling us," there was no other response. This is not a cheap accommodation choice and needs to pay more attention to detail to remain competitive.

Overall good stay with lots of dining options and market within walking distance. Aldgate East station is just across the street which is super convenient to get around London on the Tube. The only drawback is the bed and sofa in the unit. Both mattress and sofa seats are worn and sagged. Not comfortable at all and wake up everyday with a sore back.

Well positioned near Aldgate East. Room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was a little lumpy but overall OK. THe kitchenette area was useful although I wish they had some instructions as to how to use appliances. The Smeg microwave was a challenge! The seating are was small but comfortable. Good WiFi speed and consistent Bathroom good with decent shower Reasonable price for London if booked ahead Would I use again - yes.

The hotel apartment block was located very close to the underground. The complex is very modern and to a high standard. The room itself was of a very high standard, nothing was missing as far as equipment was concerned. The kitchen gavecus the possibility of acquiring groceries from the local supermarkets. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We found the gym a positive feature. A dishwasher and washing machine were part of what was available in the room Excellent.

After travelling all day, the last thing I needed was to be told there that there wasn’t a booking for us even though I had paid for it already. After 15 mins the booking mysteriously appeared on the system and we were given the keys to our room. The rooms are lovely and quiet but the staff let the hotel down. When we checked out the girl was on her mobile phone with customers waiting. Will look elsewhere on my next trip to London.

The employees at the front desk were not attentive or responsive. At times they never even looked up to greet and when we did contact them because of a broken kettle it didn’t get replaced until our third request Would have preferred self serve checkin and ability to make requests online as they offered no added value being at a desk

The check-in was a bit disappointing as the room was not ready when we arrived at 4 pm, and we had to wait for a long time. The reception tried to make up by offering free coffee and also free sandwiches the next morning.

This is a good hotel with kitchen and laundry inside of the room. However it doesn’t provide cleaning services every day. We stayed there for around a week. By asking the front desk 4 times to clean the room, we only received the service once. Other than the poor cleaning services and communication, everything is good.

Really good stay. Staff at the check in are really good in particular call out to Nusaiba,Rass, Soumya and Iulia. Apartment was excellent for my solo business trip, clean well maintained and I was kept well informed. I started here for nearly a month with no complaints. Nicely located with two different tube lines which makes it easy to visit London. The only downside was the staff at reception. At checkin barely gave us any information about the property and where to find certain things. Reception staff seemed bothered when we would approach, they were more worried looking at their phones and sharing videos instead of tending to guests. Overall it's a great property and great location.

Fabulous hotel in a great location, just a few steps from Aldgate East tube station and one stop to Liverpool Street station, which has a train direct to Stanstead airport. Staff in hotel were great, were able to let us check in early ( cost £30)

Fantastic hotel about 50 metres from Aldgate East Tub Station Probably the best equipped hotel I've eve stayed in and I travelled almost everywhere, (with the exception of South America) with my job before I retired. . Leman Locke is a great hotel in an interesting neighbourhood. There's a tube stations about 200m away, it's walking distance to Liverpool station and there are loads of eating options around. I would describe the property as an apartment hotel. There's a small kitchen, dining and sitting area along with a very spacious bathroom and a sleeping area. The thoughtfulness ranges from the convenience of each unit having a laundry machine to numerous spots with USB plugs around the room. The service at the front desk is friendly and efficient. The hotel also has a great coffee shop on the ground floor.

Spacious, bright, modern, well equipped - comfortable stay. Plenty of wall sockets with USB ports around. Even the bathroom was spacious! Air conditioning worked well. It was exactly as shown on photos. Attentive and friendly staff. Very convenient location: 10-15 minutes walk to Tower of London and Tower Bridge, Tube station just around the corner, coffee shop on the other side of Reception, 2 local supermarkets and 2 playgrounds within a minute walk. Will definitely come back again.

Great location, very close to central London and tube was a 3 minute walk away from the hotel. Place was clean and had a great café downstairs. We recently stayed at Leman Locke for five nights, from December 28, 2024, to January 2, 2025. My daughter’s close friend decided to join us in London at the last minute, and the receptionist was incredibly helpful. She arranged for us to have one one-bedroom and one studio room, which made our stay very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel – it had easy access to the London Tube and was surrounded by great dining options. The café in the hotel lobby was also fantastic, serving excellent espresso and cappuccinos. On January 1, 2025, when it was rainy outside, we spent hours in the café, sipping our drinks and watching people pass by. It was a perfect way to relax.

Great apart-hotel. Well equipped and safe. Had a gym and a cafe. Rooms were comfortable, had all appliances, utensils etc and fast wifi. The views were not that impressive but the hotel is very well located and a stone’s throw away from the tube station and bus stops.

Loved having a couch and full kitchen. Coffee shop was bonus. Liked the little milk in the room. Doors slamming were very loud late and early but we had earplugs. Friendly staff and very clean.

The hotel was wonderful. The cafe on the main floor was delicious and so convenient. The rooms were very spacious and very cute. The products in the rooms smelled wonderful (they should sell them!). And the staff was very friendly a d helpful. All around great stay and the location was perfect to get around easily.

We returned after a good experience in 2019, but the hotel has declined in quality. The property feels outdated, and the room and cafe sofas look visibly dirty. The bathroom light in our first room kept flickering continuously, so we had to change rooms. The hallway lights were also flashing occasionally. On top of that, the key card failed and wouldn't allow us to access our floor in the elevator. The bed frame creaks whenever you turn over, and the pillows and mattress are far too soft. For a three-night stay, we were only given one roll of toilet paper, and we had to go to reception ourselves to ask for more. The locked shower gel dispensers were very hard to use.

Like: Close to great public transportation, restaurants, & pubs. This area seems to be dedicated to the "business traveler", however Leman Locke is for short term rentals, & not a hotel at all. I'm not sure why it is on Expedia.
