The hotel staff was wonderful, helped us cancel the last night after my wife got sick and we had to go home early. Room is small but fine, main issue is that there is only one elevator working, and from what other guests say its been like that for months. Need to get that fixed!

Lovely hotel but having only one elevator working is a real pain. I know they are going to have all 3 of them operational by end of may. 2 could be working whilst the other is being fixed/upgraded. Overall a lovely hotel. Lovely bar, breakfast too and ideally located close to Liverpool st station for access to airports. I will stay again.

Really great - the lifts were broken for part of the stay but apart from that a very comfortable stay. Perfect for a work trip and easy to get around the city from this location.

Clean, modern, good area, nice staff…. Perfect if you’re a couple as the rooms are small, the bathroom not overly private, and the way the bed is situated if u have to pee at 3am you have to climb over your partner and wake their ass up. Also… fix the damned elevator. Good god. But they were pro. We’re generally pleased.

We had a good stay over the weekend. Only downside was there was one working lift out of 3. Being on the 8th floor this was a nightmare as we waited a while for a lift to come that wasn’t full or when the lift did eventually come it would stop at every single floor. It’s fortunate that this lift didn’t break down as the hotel would have none! Rather poor that one of the other lifts wasn’t in working order for a city centre London hotel

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful m. The rooms as always clean and as you expect. However 2 of the three lifts were not working, one very long term. The lift was also shared with the cleaning team and sometimes huge trollies left in so only one person with. Case could get in. Sort the lifts out and 100% perfect.

Check in was quick and easy - loved that it was all done via the app. I had an issue with my safe and a member of the maintenance team was there to fix it within 10 minutes, which was so appreciated. All staff members were kind + helpful. A few major issues to note. There was only 1 working lift for the entire hotel - a lot of waiting to get to the room with heavy case. I opted to take the stairs once I had all my belongings. The room was slightly dirty when I arrived, there was hairs on the bed spread + dust on some of the amenities. I managed to clean them off myself, but this was disappointing. The shower curtain was very flimsy and dirty, it did not trap much of the water from the shower so there was water all over the toilet floor. There was no hand/body lotion in the room, the dispenser listed as lotion contained hand soap. Overall a decent stay as a solo traveller for one night but probably won't be back again.

The room was clean except for the bed. The first room I was given had dirty sheets with hair from previous guests all over it. There were also stains from previous guests that hadn’t been washed out. I was given another room because housekeeping apparently isn’t available at night. The second room also had hair and stains on the sheets as well as in between the headboard and the mattress. They should really just toss the sheets at this point.

To be honest, everything about the place for the most part was lovely, I even had a few beers from the 24 hour bar after the rest of my cohort had gone to bed and the staff were fantastic. The only gripe that I have is around the design of the room itself, which was priced at somewhere near £170 for one night, which would be fine had the toilet not been stationed literally about 1 metre from the bed and with a 2 inch gap running below the door offering absolutely no privacy whatsoever. As you can imagine this was not conducive to a romantic night's stay. Que sera.

My only issue was the use of the iPad to access the TV. It didn't work for my room however, when we advised them they gave us a free drink each. Noone came to fix it but we didn't mind since we were too tired each night to watch it anyway.

Small rooms, not worth the price. Pros: central Shoreditch area which is fun and trendy. The bedroom, bathroom, bar and common areas were very clean. Dark automatic shades allowed for extended am sleep. Security safe in room. Safe neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Cons: Very small bedroom only 8’ wide so 3 sides of the bed was against walls. Meager storage spaces for clothes. Our room and probably others handicap accessible which would be fine except that the shower wet up most of the bathroom floor. On the 7th floor we could feel the nearby tube shake the building a little when it passed by. Lack of good views. Considerable walk from the Liverpool tube station with luggage. Way too small for two people for more than a night or two-be prepared to live out of your suitcase. Too expensive for the size of the room. Would not stay there again.

I booked this fairly last minute and priorotised location over anything else so my expectations were pretty low. But having neber stayed in a CitizenM before I was pleasantly surprised. Though the rooms are quite small and initially have a 'student accommodation' vibe, everything is highly practical, well thought out and of excellent quality. Managing the rooms lights/media/blinds from the ipad is a nice touch. Given them proximity to a railway line and in a noisy part of town, I didnt hear a single noise from within my room. With the blackout blinds, comfortable bed and nothing in the room making any weird noises like some hotels, I had the best sleep in a hotel that I've had for a long time. The check in/out experience was good. Its a kiosk but there are staff there to assist you. I was lucky enough to have the same person check me in and out and she provided a genuinely warm welcome. All of ky other employee interactions were positive. I wouldnt pick it for a romantic getaway for two, but if you are travelling solo, or for work or just a quick break for shopping and sight seeing, its a great hotel in a great location and good value for money. Will stay again

Area is very cool—an interesting spot to explore that is not “touristy”. The hotel lobby was a neat place to hang out. The room is small but very efficiently laid out and organized so we don’t feel cramped. The bed was very comfy and the room was quiet for sleeping.

We had a great stay at CitizenM in Shoreditch- it was easy to get anywhere we wanted and the hotel was comfortable and welcoming. Our only complaint is that only one elevator was working (which we were told about ahead of time), which made for some long waits. We'd gladly stay at the CitizenM again.

I had some electrical gremlins in my room (fridge wasn't working; safebox didn't work) and the hotel staff, especially Hannah, were amazing at solving the problems. It was my first experience at a CitizenM hotel, and I'll definitely be back. Few hotels are worth loyalty, this one is one of those.

Sightseeing shopping theatre and catch up with friends. Great location next to the city in bustling Shoreditch. Overground stop a few minutes walk and Liverpool Street station a mere ten minutes walk. Compact room but with an enormous 2m by 2m bed, rain shower, black out blinds etc etc. There’s a Pret virtually next door for breakfast and snacks on the fly.

I've stayed at 3 of the 4 citizenM properties in London now. This is on par with the Bankside location. Its location is very good for getting around as well as good distance from Liverpool station. The top level views are fantastic.

So pleasantly surprised with how AMAZING this hotel was! Not “for the price” - it was just plain great! Service was EXCELLENT - stumbled off an overnight trans-Atlantic flight at 6:30 am & got to the hotel by 9 am where they actually had a room ready for us to fall into bed! Room was spacious, comfortable, updated; loved the iPad controls & special touches. Breakfast was superb & the 24 hr staff/service/snacks were great. Location to buses & tube was so convenient. Won’t stay anywhere else from now on.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Shoreditch. Walking distance to Liverpool St underground for easy acccess to the West End. We walked into the city and along the river easily. Definitely worth adding breakfast to your stay as it is great value and excellent quality. Will definitely revisit.

Very small rooms with a glass-fronted shower/toilet area. The bed was huge, with lovely crisp white ben linen. Very comfortable. There is only a tiny area to hang up clothing and if you have more than one suitcase there is nowhere to put it. For 2 nights during the heatwave the air conditioning didn't work so eventually I got moved and while it was not great, it was slightly better. , here seemed to be no urgency on fixing it except to offer fans to blow the hot air around the room! While the staff were doing what they could tea/coffee making facilities in the room and no information leaflet. Stayed 5 nights and only realized on the last night that they did hot food in the lobby cafe. 914 576 8503
