Super cute place on a perfect spot easy access to cheap parking 20 minutes from airport. Surprising breakfast. Personal attention. Comfort Ok taking in consideration the fact the building is a monument from ages past. 5 minutes walk to center town that beats Amsterdam on all fronts.

My stay was excellent and the staff were very helpful. One suggestion would be to give more detail on where you can park with the booking confirmation this would have made everything a lot smoother at check in. Location is great for the centre of Leiden.

Tijdens warme dagen te warm op kamer. Ventilator en mobiele airco bieden niet voldoende verkoeling. Er is geen koelkastje op kamer en vanaf 21.00u niemand meer aanwezig. Hierdoor geen mogelijkheid voor een verkoelend drankje op kamer, helaas. Ook in avonduren en nacht overlast van jongeren die direct achter hotel hun hangplek hebben. Personeel is heel vriendelijk, kamers netjes verzorgd, lunch goed verzorgd en voldoende en ligging hotel ideaal. Parkeergarage nog geen 2 min van hotel.

Prettig kleinschalig hotel in het centrum van Leiden. Super vriendelijk personeel en fijne ruime kamers. De ontbijtplank van €17,- was zeker zijn geld waard. Het hotel straalt veel sfeer uit en is centraal gelegen.

Conveniently located just off the main shopping and eating areas. Only 7 minute walk to the Leiden Central train station and from there it is an easy 15-20 minute train ride to Schiphol airport or 35-40 minutes to Amsterdam Central. We took a direct bus to Keukenhof Gardens from Leiden in April for a wonderful day seeing the tulips. Property is neat and clean and unique in structure, making it a nice change from cookie cutter chain hotels.
Conveniently located just off the main shopping and eating areas. Only 7 minute walk to the Leiden Central train station and from there it is an easy 15-20 minute train ride to Schiphol airport or 35-40 minutes to Amsterdam Central. Property was beautifully situated next to the Morsch Gate entrance to the old city at the confluence of two canals. A statue of Rembrandt van Rijn was in the adjacent park as this was where he was born. The setting is very picturesque especially with boat traffic in the evenings trolling around the city. We stayed for three nights. It got warmer each night which is unusual for Holland. There was no air conditioning. We had to leave open a window, and there was nearby foot traffic and revelers that made a little noise beyond the time you would anticipate. The last night was quite warm and even with the window open, I was sweating in the bed. As we checked out, I suggested to the desk employee that air movement is needed for that room like a fan or something. She said "why didn't you use the fan?" I said " What fan?" She said "the fan in your room?" I said "there was no fan in the room." She said, "somebody must have removed it." The bed was fine, the bathroom was designed by an amateur and no lady could ever apply makeup with the dismal light fixture over the bathroom mirror. The breakfast they offered was very comprehensive and way more than I was prepared to eat. Nevertheless, ever patron received the same breakfast. There was no menu, just a binary choice of breakfast, yes or no. I will not stay there again.

A lovely little hotel situated in the historic area and within walking distance from the train station. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a nice size with a strong shower, a window that can be opened for fresh air and a fan. The bed was comfortable. I would stay again.

Great hotel with character in a superb location and lovely cafe area The only problem were the bathrooms. I don’t want to see or hear my partner going to the toilet!! It’s just thin slightly frosted glass to the bathroom so you can see and hear everything going on. A distinct downside to this hotel. A shame as the rest of the hotel was lovely.

Ein zauberhaftes Hotel mit ebenso überaus freundlichem Personal. Die Zimmer sind schick und stylisch, aber auch praktisch eingerichtet. Der Bereich der Lobby und des Frühstücksbereichs ebenso. Da es sich um ein ehem. Garnisonsgebäude handelt, welches unter Denkmalschutz steht, gab es für uns ein Manko, da wir bei hohen, sommerlichen Temperaturen dort waren: die fehlende Klimaanlage. Bei Einfachverglasung brütet man in den Zimmern so vor sich hin. Und das ist sehr schade. Zu kälteren Temperaturen besuchen wir das Haus aber sicher sehr gerne wieder!

This hotel was absolutely fantastic. The building was charming, the staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful, and the area is so cute right next to the downtown shopping and historical areas. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area and would definitely come back to stay here.

This is a lovely hotel located in a spot that is easily walkable to both the train station and the central area. We took a direct bus to Keukenhof Gardens from Leiden in April for a wonderful day seeing the tulips. Property is neat and clean and unique in structure, making it a nice change from cookie cutter chain hotels.
Conveniently located just off the main shopping and eating areas. Only 7 minute walk to the Leiden Central train station and from there it is an easy 15-20 minute train ride to Schiphol airport or 35-40 minutes to Amsterdam Central.
