We generally really enjoyed our stay at the Pendry and will look for more locations for future travel. The front desk staff was welcoming and all staff greeted us whenever they saw us. The valet service was also convenient and polite. My one complaint was the crowd the pool brought in - seemingly from outside those staying at the hotel. It was overly crowded, loud, obnoxious. I also had to put up with some bully behavior from some drunk girls coming from the pool and getting into the elevator, and guests left their drinks everywhere. This was far from the relaxing / luxurious rooftop pool experience we were hoping for.

Check in experience with Clare was fabulous - best staff interaction… also pool service was very good. Some dirty linens / towels etc… The hotel is nice - but not up to other pendry standards. Had a wonderful time!!

The housekeeping was atrocious. The housekeeping always missed restocking something..The hallway on offer, had toothpick, Bobbi pin and safety pin on the floor for 4 days until I had to mention to the front desk. So ya housekeeping not good. Plus when we checked in we were not told about ourVIP Silver benefits or the Lincoln they have for you to drive or the check in cocktail. Or guitar Also there was more then days old dust on the ledges and cacti of the restaurant Provisonal , we sat in the booths at Breakfast. Hope the owners, CIO andCEO read these.

Decent hotel, but the suites require more attention to detail when it comes to cleaning (poor cleaning when it comes to the shower glass) and the suites and common areas (residential level hallways) require extensive renovation, especially for being one of the top rated Pendry Hotels.

For the price, this place just isn’t worth it. It tries to compete with super fancy hotels, but it falls short of this price point’s expectations. Everywhere you look, the place is beat. From the inside of the elevator to the room doors to the closet doors, there are nicks and signs of age everywhere. And at this price you expect perfect execution (not a room with an ironing board and steamer but no actual iron).

Great property to stay at if you are single or a couple. The hotel is in Gastown so is a great area to walk around and there are plenty of restaurants. The 3rd floor pool is quite good and has great pool service. The only two negative items - if you're staying with friends or kids - the rooms have clear glass walled showers with a privacy curtain and there is very little storage space to unpack and organize for a long stay. The rooms themselves are comfortable and the hotel has great amenities.

The 11th floor is peaceful. The rooms are small but well-appointed. The wi-fi is effective. Breakfast starts at 7 though they run out of coffee at 6:30. The front desk makes limited effort to resolve discrepancies.

This was my first stay at Pendry and I was only there for one night but the hotel is beautiful, my room had character (not some bland and boring cookie cutter decor and furnishings), the mattress was amazing, the mini fridge was packed with beverages, there were snacks and other goodies, and the hotel robe was heavenly. Between the mattress and the robe, I feel asleep before I could even turn the lights off. My only complaint is that my stay was so short but I will definitely be coming back.

This hotel is really beatiful. It is located in a fantastic area. Very close the everything, bars, shops, restaurants, the stadium. It is very loud in the hallways. The doors all slam shut and make your whole room shake. The bathroom situation in our room was super odd. It in the corner of the room but not a separate area. its enclosed with glass that did have a curtain to conceal the shower area. The sink in tiny! we had to keep alot of our thing on the floor under the sink.. The bed was very comfortable. service at Provisional was not very good. Very slow to be seated and to be served. Food was just ok.. The bars had great service and were quite lively. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful.

A very honest review coming up. The hotel itself is lovely, very clean with great amenities. However, we were given a street facing room and for 2/5 nights we were woken up at 7am by trash collections which are extremely noisy. The hotel offered us earplugs. Not ideal. Additionally, there is a pool party in the hotel on the weekends so getting a bed by the pool is a challenge on the weekend. The hotel charged my card twice and it is still causing me problems. Overall a very mixed experience for us at the Pendry.

Easy location to walk to restaurants and convention center. Staff is friendly. Very quiet rooms and hallways. More on elegant side when you are in the sleeping quarters. Our room was not very large, but still nice. Great pool and Hot tub Fridge is full of things to buy but there was no room to eve put a water bottle. We were offered a free drink upon arrival and little water bottles are left on counter for free.

When I was checking in I politely asked if they might have a room upgrade. The clerk said "Sure, I can put you in a suite for $500 more a night!" Trying to sell me a much more expensive room is NOT and upgrade! The room TV was broken. The room coffee maker was broken. The service in the bar was marginal at best. They offer you a "checkin cocktail" which consisted of pouring yourself a glass of juice (tasted like Tang) in a plastic cup and taking to the bar to get "spiked." Just awful.

I had reserved 3 rooms for 2 nights each. My colleague got sick and was not able to travel. I tried to cancel that reservation and asked for credit for a future stay and the hotel insisted they could not consider that. I asked for consideration and they refused. Very unfortunate.

This hotel has the friendliest staff I’ve ever experienced in the United States. The male staff members, in particular, were extremely kind and helpful. It really felt like they had received special training—absolutely top-notch service! The interior was, of course, excellent as well. I’ll definitely be staying here again next time.

The listing said check-in starts at 4 PM, so we arrived right on time. However, the front desk told us that “4 PM is when check-in starts,” and that we weren’t guaranteed a room at that time. We ended up waiting an hour and a half before finally getting our room. I’ve never heard such an excuse from any hotel before. When we expressed our frustration, we were told that “American Express cardholders get late check-out,” which apparently caused our delay. That explanation made no sense to me — how does someone else’s late check-out justify another guest’s delayed check-in? Eventually, they apologized and offered us drink vouchers, which I appreciated, but the overall experience still felt poorly managed. I just wish the staff had handled it with more professionalism and accountability.

The pendry doesn’t disappoint. We came for a birthday weekend and had a blast at the Sunday pool party. Being in the heart of gas lamp is perfect. You can drop your car and walk everywhere.

Short stay for us, but will be back! The room was very comfortable, I must buy the pillows! Bath products were top notch, shower was great. Gym looked amazing but we didn’t get a chance to try it. Bar was good, good service. Breakfast was delicious, fast friendly service.

Very nice property, conveniently located in Gaslamp Quarter with many great bars and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay at the Pendry and its amenities, including the 5th & Rose, Nessons, and Provisional (we did not get a chance to try Lionfish). We had a great experience with room service - timely and professional service! Both the spa (excellent steam room) and hot tub/pool area were also very nice. We really appreciated the fact that although the weather was cooler, the pool area and bar were still staffed/open (even following some rain)! The entire staff was helpful and courteous at all times. Nathan was great at checkout. We will return!
