Tru By Hilton Oklahoma City Airport

In the lobby there was area for games and pool table.

I had to wait 30 minutes for the airport shuttle upon making the request. The front desk staff said the request is supposed to be made in advance but did not see the information written on the website. The hotel says it has a "restaurant" but there wasn't any type of restaurant on-site and the verbiage should be removed from the website. Had a wonderful experience with the front desk staff at check in. The walls were paper thin in the room so I could hear every conversation in the hallway and in other rooms. The tv was not functioning properly, the shower ledge was loose and the lack of plastic shower seal cause water to leak all over the bathroom floor. Best experience at the hotel was breakfast and the coffee.

The TV reception was out for some of the channels, so I had to go to a restaurant to watch the baseball playoff game. Also, the electronic key locks all froze up, so I had to go to the front desk multiple time to have my card re-initialized.

When we made the reservation we were told it had a bar that was open. It does not! Had a pool table in lobby but all the pool sticks were broke. Ok hotel but probably won't stay again. Definitely not Hilton standards

Decent breakfast. Clean. Modern. Free parking.

I checked in with my service dog, and I explained he was a service dog. I get my bill and they charge me a service charge for the service dog. I went and talked to the front desk, and they said they charge for all dogs. I went back and checked Hotels.Com and it clearly states they don't charge for service dogs. I went back to the desk and explained this to them. They looked it up and said they shouldn't have charged me and they would leave a note for the manager. I checked back 3 days later and no one has credited me back for this charge. I was told they would text the manager and when she gets back, in a few days, it would be taken care of. As of the time of the review, I have not been credited back. The hotel itself is clean, the breakfast is good, and there is a variety of items available. The staff outside the overcharge are friendly, but they are usually away from the desk. There is no business center, so if you need to print something, they send you to the neighboring property to use their center. The parking lot is shared by 3 hotels, so parking can be a pain, and there are a number of sketchy people wandering around. There is a number of fast food/restaurants available close by.

The card didn't work going in from the car. The Breakfast layout was great.

We were put on the 3rd floor...no electricity, so no elevators, no lights in the halls and stairwells, and no warm/hot water at all. Paid full price for cold showers and dark dangerous stairs. Would have been nice if a discount or at least something was offered to make up for the extremely inconvenience.

They got us transferred to another room very quickly but there was a few strands of hair on the shower walls and the toilet seat was dirty. Other than that, the stay was great! By far the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever seen! Had several varieties and all kinds of toppings for pancakes, oatmeal, and bagels/toast. Nice outside patio with fire pit, pool table, Jenna, and other table games in lobby. Overall, great stay! Will definitely look for Tru’s when traveling!

The room could have been cleaner. There was dirt in the corner of the bed when I lifted the mattress. The shower grout was not very clean but the toiletries were very nice. Breakfast had a lot of nice options. Lots of tvs in the lobby plenty of seating and a pool table

The room was not swept from the people before us because there was toe nails on the floor and there was black long hair still in our shower!

Me and my husband been coming to this hotel several times, we are gold members, we checked in on 3/26/24 - @7pm , the front desk Amanda has horrible customer service training, after we checked in we went up to the room, and the bathroom was dirty, we came don, and ask if possible to change us to different room, and she made us sit in lobby for 20 min for her to send someone up and verify the room was indeed dirty, they supposedly clean the room, we ask her if she can change us to other room, and she literally told us to either take that room or go somewhere else, my husband and I always travel and this never ever had happened to us, the front desk really needs to learn how to treat people, she is really rude, and ending we had to stay the night in a dirty room, she deny me contact with a manager, she told me she already had talk to her Manager and amanager had told her not to change the room, she only gave me her first name: Amanda.

Stayed here for a week, very nice and clean hotel.

Check-in took over 45 mins. First, the guy couldn’t find our reservation; then, he couldn’t get his key card machine to work after he did. The lobby was disgusting; there was trash and huge stains on all the furniture. When we finally got to our room, hair and dirt were all over the bed. The floor wasn’t swept. The bathroom was dirty, with hairs everywhere. Couldn’t switch rooms because was told they were full. Will not ever stay there again.

Dry disappointing for a Hilton property. Just felt very dirty, not maintained.

Looked new and very clean. Nice rooms, good window shade, nice shower, great bed. Breakfast had great selections.

If there was an option for below average, I would have selected that. The rooms were ok, but kind of on the smaller side, but adequate for an overnight stay. However, there was NO coffee pot and NO microwave in the room. I didn't even realize that was a possibility anymore!

Bed was lumpy. Pillows crappy. AC noisy. Other than that . . . As expected.

The AC is extremely loud, it sounds like the compressor is going out. The tiny refrigerator was defrosted with the water going to the floor. Mechanical shades with the controls 12 feet away and unlabeled. Great staff! The facility is below the Hilton standard.

The Hotel is of a modern design. The rooms are small, but comfortable. No microwave in the rooms, no closet, but a hanger rack. Checkout is at Noon, not 11 A.M., Convenient. Restaurants are within walking distance, including a 24 hr. IHOP across the street! Nice facility.

Check In didn’t go well because Hotels.com combined my first and last name into one last name. Because of that, staff couldn’t find our reservation. Once we got it figured out and got to our room it was just an OK stay. When we pulled into the parking lot we noticed a room on the 3rd floor that had a broken window which was covered with plywood. Something like that certainly makes you think twice about your choice for a hotel. The room was clean but the wall beside the bed was either terribly scuffed up or terribly dirty. It just looked bad. The air conditioning unit in our room made so much noise every time it kicked on that it woke us up throughout the night. The staff was friendly and the room was inexpensive, but we have stayed at other Tru by Hilton hotels that were much nicer.

TV dis not work most of the stay. The reported problem was satellite connection. Rooms are small. No in-room coffee makers, but 24 hour coffee in lobby. Excellent breakfast.

We've never stayed in a Tru property before. It was a different experience for us: a very small room, very pared down furnishings. No microwave in the room?!!! I've come to expect a microwave. There was a small refrigerator, which I've also come to expect. There wasn't even a proper closet! Just a pipe hanging from the ceiling and hangers to hang clothes. It did the job, but another example of pared down furnishings. The "table" with the webbing top was, I guess, a luggage rack. But the room was so small this "table" was in the way and added no value. A traditional folding luggage rack would have been better for our needs. You know the kind of folding luggage rack I mean -- the ones that fold up and store in the closet. But, oh, yeah, there wasn't a closet. On the other hand we travel with a cat. To your credit, the furnishings are so pared down that there was no room for the cat to hide, which is a good thing. Other hotels could take a lesson from you on this aspect. A negative is that we had to pay $50 for the cat!

Breakfast was Great!! The room walls was dirty. The mattress was terrible I couldn't remember a hotel mattress every being that bad. Noise control of traffic was bad. Water was luckwarm.

There never anyone at the desk to check you in. The first day for my room I waited 15 minutes for someone. She was nice but I still had to wait. Next day I was checking my daughter in her room. I was there 30 minutes with others waiting on someone to come to front desk. We call from my room and still no one. The phone was ringing a lot. Finally a lady went and knock on a door. She was in there the whole time. The beds were hard for me. I couldn’t sleep. Would not stay there again.

Had reservations. The hotel system was down and we were unable to stay. 1245am and we are still looking for a replacement hotel. Please refund my account

Was locked out of my room with my personal belongings inside……..2 hours to finally get in. Delayed my trip by 2.5 hrs…..management was like no big deal. Tru lost a Hilton Honors member.

The bedroom was freezing. I called the front desk to ask them for a blanket. I went back to the front desk when I realized what I was given what appeared to be a fitted sheet. The manager promptly explained it was a fitted duvet cover, and that was the best he could give me. I said you don’t have any actual blankets or comforters? He got really irritated and was rude and told me no. The only thing he offered to do was to walk me to the closet just approved that there was nothing else to give me. I explained to him that was not what I needed. I just wanted a blanket to keep me warm. When my husband came back in shortly after I went back to the room, he walked by the front desk and heard the manager talking to the front desk girl about me and how angry he was about the fact that I wanted a blanket. My husband just didn’t realize that they were talking about me until he got back to the room. My husband said he could tell by the look on his face that he was super frustrated. And as he walked by, he partly heard the conversation. The continental breakfast did not have any pancakes or waffle options because the machine was broken. The mango juice in the machine was very watered down. There was no fresh fruit or granola options to put on top of the yogurt or the oatmeal.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been at The hotel was extremely clean. But the reason why this was the worst hotel I’ve been at was the staff. We were getting off a 14 hour drive and I called in advance asking when’s the checkout time and they said we needed to leave by 1pm. When we checked in at 12am, we were met with dirty looks for some reason and even though I was friendly they acted defensive and scared. Maybe it was my skin color I don’t know I usually come off as a nice guy. The next morning we set our alarms for 12 since we expected to be out the door at 1. The house cleaning lady knocked and all she told us was it’s checkout time and left. We got a call 2 minutes later saying that they were going to call security if we weren’t out of there within 5 minutes. The receptionist up front told us the house cleaning lady told us we had 5 minutes which was a lie. All she said was “it’s checkout time”. We had to rush to pack and get out because they lied on the phone about the latest checkout time. I went down to speak to the same receptionist. He got defensive and I calmly explained what I was told on the phone and he said there’s no such policy. We just left, we didn’t want to cause any problems with them. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel. What’s funny is when we checked in they were helping a group of nice white people before us and smiling. And once I got to the front that’s when everything changed.

Very nice and clean place and it was a great price. The only thing that I didn’t like was the noise outside and hearing other guests slam the door.

Nice clean hotel in good location. While it is a no-frills chain, I found everything I needed there. Breakfast was pretty standard for these types of hotels. Front desk was distracted and hard to find but friendly.

Such a good hotel and great breakfast food! Stay at it every time I am flying out!

Room was clean, worked for overnight stay. Small for longer stay. Area around hotel felt unsafe. I know that’s not the fault of the hotel.

Even though it was near the highway you really didn't hear much traffic sound. Good snack area and free breakfast not just continental.

Property wass okay.Breakfast not the best. Husband went to convient store and guy said do not walk around rhe area. Was very clise to aorport restaurants and conventuon center though.

Seemed much older and not as clean and updated than other Tru Hilton we have stayed in during our travels. Not a very nice area. Did not feel safe.

All the things we really love about a Tru, no carpet, no frills, no hassle. It was clean and the staff was nice. The free breakfast was fine, all that we have come to love and expect from a Hilton Tru. Our only complaint, this is not a great part of town. We felt safe and comfortable, don't get me wrong, however, I don't think I would be out walking around the area after dark. Not to sound dramatic or anything, just an observation..

Breakfast a disaster…almost everything OUT OF ORDER.

The breakfast bar was out standing! The room was very good..:loved the shower.

The property itself was fairly nice, and our room was very clean. However, there was no coffee the next morning, and my shower was cold.

Night Shift when we checked in was very nice and friendly. The beds were hard and uncomfortable.. was not expecting a hard floor, but that’s OK I guess. my husband didn’t think to check the coolness level on the refrigerator so our drinks were warm by morning,. Mostly booked here because people raved about the breakfast. We didn’t want to make an additional stop for food . It was nothing to brag about. In fact we just had a glass of apple juice and out the door we went wasn’t even worth staying for. Needs to have more options. The woman sitting at the front desk at breakfast time was sleeping in her chair.. not professional at all.

First time at a Tru and was blown away with night and day difference between this chain and others in similar price range. Room amenities were very good, lots of available plug ins and all comfortable. The property itself amenities were very good, even if I didn’t use them all. Breakfast was best hotel breakfast I’ve had. The amount of toppings and options for pancakes, oatmeal, and egg mix ins was amazing. Selection of drinks and other breakfast items was also fabulous. Already changed future reservations in other cities to change them to Tru properties based on this stay and wife’s experience at another Tru property in Colorado.
