Hyatt House New York/Chelsea

Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Some of them did not know where places were. Nigel was great. Elevator system in the hotel is slow..waited sometimes 15 minutes for elevator. Breakfast was okay. almost same everyday. Scrambled eggs every day. could change up a bit. They advertise a rooftop bar. this does not exist. roof top area with 4 chairs and two wobbly tables. bueatiful view of city but very blah...Put some nice patio furniture up there and let guest sit and have drinks even if it has to be a bottle bought at store like we did. Location for us was perfect center of all things we did and can walk to dinner and drinking.

Room very small and old. Website said free parking but it not. Valet service very slow.

Gym was very disappointing

The hotel staff was kind, and allowed us to check in our bags a little early since our rooms were ready. We Appreciated the courtesy! They also allowed us to check bags in the back until our flight time, which we appreciate the courtesy as well! For these reasons we give 5 stars! The gym had a nice photo op balcony of the city, and some of our friends who ate breakfast said it was good. For hotel notes Room 2501 or 2504 I don't remember, one of the shower heads doesn't come on, but the other one does, and it works fine, also we never saw the magnet to cover the night light, but again not a huge deal for us. Our crew enjoyed the feeling of safety, and the cleanness of the area. You were all pleasant to all of us, even when we were in the lobby waiting on our guest to come down for several minutes. Thanks again!

Very comfortable and clean place. Near various attractions but not a fan of the parking fee that is not even on site. Very frustrating to pay such a high price for valet parking every time we used our car.

Nice hotel. Well located .Good breakfast buffet. Although valet only parking offered, for those who want to self park , there is a parking lot diagonally across the street.

There is no rooftop bar. Pictures are deceiving. There is an area to sit outside with tables on the 34th floor I think. You can have drinks sent up. Great view. Rooms are nice and comfy a bit cramped though. Great area...

Both eleptical exercise machines are broken AC wasn’t working Connected to WiFi but no internet Shower was stained significantly

The lift was a nightmare, it took us almost 15 mins for the lift during busy hours in the morning and evening. The ac was very noisy in the room, we had to turn off at night in order to get some sleep, luckily the weather is still cold here. Otherwise it was ok, the location was very convenient surrounded with convenient stores and supermarkets,,. Walking distance to K-town and many more attractions

We had a fantastic stay! Christmas in NYC! Great location and close to MSG. Staff were wonderful. Room was very clean. We felt very safe. Loved the noon check out!

We had a leaking in the bathroom at 5 an. The ceiling came off and the floor was flooded. I requested for a room transfer but they said that they could only move us to a single bed while they will fix the issue. We had a planned itinerary for the day. We went back to the hotel at 3 pm, it wasn’t done yet and we couldnt rest because it was too loud.

The room was really nice, clean and good breakfast included. Staff was always very helpful and the position is great. Definitely recommend to stay here, I would book it again!

we complained of ants in the bathroom the day we checked in and it was cleared out and they didn’t mention to change room so we figured the issue is resolved. Then again, we had major ants issue in the bathroom and they were all around the bathroom floor and sink and we called multiple times for someone to clean so we can use the restroom and just check out but no one came to clean. I had to take wet towels myself and wiped the floor and sink so my kids and I can shower. Worst experience of our life and I would like to know where i can file complaint

The view and the cleanliness

I chose this hotel because of the kitchenette and area. The area is great, very walkable to many things and close access to just about anything you need. We definitely liked the convenience. The room was on a corner, so we had great views. But the room itself was worn out. The couch needs to be replaced, it was dirty and had lost its shape. We put blankets over it because it seemed so dirty. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Hyatt House Chelsea is very convenient to subway lines, and offers a pleasant enough stay. It is a little worn and needs some sprucing up. Elevator waits can be bad during breakfast time.

The toilet roll holder and toilet lid both fell off during our stay. But the staff were incredibly nice and our room had a great view.

My fiancée and I loved staying here because of it's location, and cleanliness. Such a close walk to MSG and a good amount of restaurants, quick bites, and clubs/bars. I feel asthough the rooms are reasonably priced for what you get. I have stayed here twice now and both times, I stayed in their King studio suite. Very worth the views and the space.

Check in was great. Room space is small. Barely has room for luggages. Rooftop bar is next door so it noisy and uncomfortable for the kids.

I so want to give this property a total 5! Just for note, the beds were really really firm. I bit much for me but the sound proof windows and so few rooms per floor made it totally doable to get a good nights sleep. Already looking to book this place again for next year!

Great location. Log jam at the elevator in the morning. Small space like lot of NY places. It’s the room I stayed, it was ok for solo but would have been too tight for two.

Had a corner suite with incredible views. Location convenient to everything including subway stops. Rooftop deck looked out over Empire State Building. Had little kitchenette with all amenities- fridge, stove top, micro and dishwasher. Beds comfy and room quiet.

We chose this hotel mostly for the location. It was a very quick and easy walk to madison square garden/penn station and lots of restaurants and coffee shops near by. My only complaints were the uncomfortable (extremely hard/stiff) beds and the wait for the elevators. The breakfast was not great either however, it was complementary so we didn’t have high expectations anyway. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay but I’m glad we didn’t stay multiple nights with the bed that uncomfortable

We had a studio room with kitchenette for 1 week (2 seperate reservations as had to extend stay). The room was plenty big enough with great views. Location is fantastic for Manhattan as a tourist. Lifts were not an issue the week we were there. Breakfast was maybe a bit the same every day if staying a week but fine. Breakfast bar staff and especially the reception staff were fantastic. There are hotels with better facilities but we would go back to this one no problem.

Great hotel and conveniently located near numerous restaurants and Madison Square Garden. We stayed in a spacious suite that felt very new. Great free breakfast in the morning. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Very impressed. Will definitely stay again

The valet and check in service was wonderful. The location was super convenient to everything we wanted to experience and the hotel was clean and quiet.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. Venetta and Rafael helped us several times with guidance on locations and transportation. The room was great and so nice to have a kitchen. Add couches and comfortable seating, and maybe fire pits to the great rooftop deck so guests can enjoy the space. Update lobby.

very very poor customer service

Only one elevator to my floor worked during my stay, and it could’ve been nice. If the hotel staff informed the guest of that. The television channels did not work properly, the TV Guide didn’t match the actual channels, which was very difficult to watch TV peacefully the free breakfast, I did not even try at first glance, it just didn’t look good. I only tasted the orange juice which I immediately spit out because it was disgusting. When I had a question for the front desk coming back from my long day in the city, there was nobody there for at least five minutes, the Night Shift staff was working alone, and I had no complaints about that. He was getting something for another guests. However, when I came the next morning to ask a question and also inform them that nobody was at the front desk, they thought that I was lying and got very nasty with me and said someone is always at the front desk, I said actually that was not true last night because I waited for several minutes and nobody was at the front desk, the lady rolled her eyes at me and was very rude. I have no reason to lie about that, they could’ve checked the cameras, I was not ratting anyone out. I was just saying that there are times when someone cannot be at the front desk, especially if they are working by themselves and trying to help someone else. This is not a location that I would go back to, I thought Chelsea was different, but I would rather stay close to Central Park.

We had a problem with air conditioning not working in the room which they recognised and changed rooms for us. Breakfast was good as was the central location. Check In staff and day desk staff were terrific and very obliging

Great location to visit all the sights of New York City! Super easy subway access. Walkable to many areas. Bonus is that it’s in the flower district!

The property was relatively well-located with good accessibility. The accommodation itself was satisfactory, and the breakfast was acceptable, though not exceptional. However, the surrounding area was concerning, with a noticeable presence of homelessness, unpleasant odors, and visible signs of drug use. While the hotel appeared modern and generally well-maintained, the overall experience in the neighborhood was unexpectedly distressing.

I always stay here when I’m in the city! Gorgeous views and in the best location. Access to all types of food, liquor stores, and the Chelsea market.

We stay five days, the hotel is nice overall but the breakfast is very poor, no varieties of food, no cakes, it closes at 9.00 AM that is very early for vacation time.

Great location, room was nicely cleaned. Breakfast is really terrible, you should find every single day eggs, a sausage or bacon, bread and that's it. Staff was great all the time.

Only 2 lifts to service the entire property, this created excessive wait time due to cleaning & service staff also using them. Dining area very small and crowded, food average with very limited selections.
