Arrived about midnight. No q at reception but the hotel must use a very antiquated system. Every interaction with the computer took the poor check in staff ages. Check out took even longer. It literally took 7 mins of tapping to check out our two rooms….there were no incidentals or issues. That should’ve taken a minute at most! Therefore there is a sense of panic at all times at the desks. The poor poor staff! Rooms were ok but tired. Lighting systems and switches in both rooms were temperamental and old. The lift call touchscreen devices are ridiculously complex, it’s too easy to call the wrong floor and therefore create delays in the system. Just go back to a normal call button system. Breakfast was a chaotic shambles. The food was good though. The poor staff are overworked. Lazy river had mould at tide level all the way round. It felt grubby. The main pool and beach have an amazing view, although again, the pool was damaged and felt grubby. The staff try hard but are disillusioned and they are too busy to provide genuine customer service. The ambiance in the hotel is not relaxing. The hotel is cheaper than most and it shows. Not worth it. We moved after one night to the Fairmont Palm 200 metres along the road. Far superior in every way.

From start to finish, our first trip to Dubai (and to the Dukes at The Palm) was absolutely top tier and it will certainly not be our last. We arrived to the hotel around midnight to check in and the entrance hall was something to see....beautiful. Mary was welcoming, efficient and before we knew it we were checked in and on our way up to our room. The room was clean, spacious and the only comment i would of had that we could have done with a few more hangers in the wardrobe (but thats the only issue we had the whole time there) The gym facilities were good, the indoor pool was nice and quiet, and the outdoor pool and beach area were brilliant. Again, only comment would be that there was a lot of towels sitting on loungers that were not in use for well over an hour while people were looking for sun loungers. The food and drink from ULA at the pool area was great, breakfast service at GBR had a goo selection, and the food in the Khyber restaurant was top tier!!! Room cleaners always had our room immaculate, and even tidied and organised my partners make-up and brushes when cleaning the room.........she was over the moon! Service from everyone in the hotel was 2nd to none, and Riza assisted us with a late checkout when leaving as our flight wasn't until 0130 the next morning.....it was slightly expensive to keep the room on the extra 7/8 hours, although we would have been struggling if we hadn't. All in all, couldn't have asked for a better experience!!

Das Hotel hat keinen 5* Standard. Die Zimmer sind verlebt und in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten ein Executive Studio, welches zwei Balkone hatte. Die Tische auf den Balkonen sind länger nicht gereinigt worden und waren mit einer Sandschicht überzogen. Der TV im Schlafzimmer hatte Bildfehler, vermutlich weil Leute oft dagegen gelaufen sind, weil der Durchgang am Fußende des Bettes so eng ist. Das Essen im Restaurant ist ok, aber über mehrere Tage hinweg wenig abwechslungsreich (sowohl Frühstück, wie Abendessen). Im Restaurant ist es laut, abends läuft dazu noch sehr laute Musik. Der Service im Restaurant ist mäßig. Kaffee kann man sich nicht selbst holen, aber wenn man Pech hat, hat man fast fertig gefrühstückt, bis man einen Kaffee bestellen kann. Und wenn man dann aufsteht, um nochmal was vom Buffet zu holen werden volle Gläser und Tassen sofort weggeräumt, sodass man am besten immer einzeln geht. Der Pool selbst wäre schön, wenn da nicht die oftmals sehr zerschlissenen Schirme und Liegen wären. Insbesondere am Strand sind mehr Schirme defekt, als in Ordnung. Der Pool wird auch von Anwohnern des benachbarten Appartementhauses sowie Tagesgästen des Beach Clubs besucht. Im Pool sind manche Fliesen defekt, der Lazy River ist vollständig abgesperrt und außer Betrieb.

Overall it’s a lovely hotel with great facilities. Beautiful indoor pool with gorgeous views and an adequate gym. We only used the breakfast buffet which was fine so I cannot comment on the other food and beverage facilities. The rooms were spacious, modern and very comfortable. The hotel is directly opposite Nakheel mall which is great for food shopping at Waitrose, cafes and the odd bit of shopping if you have forgotten anything. The hotel is at the end of West Beach on the Palm, which is perfect for walking and choices of places to eat and drink. The views from the pool and private beach are really nice across Dubai.

Lovely room at Dukes, staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area is a little tired. Pool itsf is lovely but needs some upgrades ro tiles etc. Also gets very busy on weekend. Struggled to find 2 sun beds together. Beer very expensive too, 69 dir 500 mls of Peroni. 15 less in the Hilton down the road. Overall very good stay a d would happily return.

sehr tolles Hotel, für Dubai. Außergewöhnlich, weil einigermaßen entspannt alles. unsere wichtigsten Kriterien wurden erfüllt, Frühstück sehr schön draußen sitzen, perfekter Strandzugang und vor allem ist der Strandanschnitt breiter als bei den Nachbar Hotels an der Promenade. wenn man unbedingt etwas zum kritisieren haben will, dann das schwache Internet und die laute Partymusik am Wochenende in der Strandbar und auch am Strand.

The room was filthy… dust everywhere. Doors- disgustingly dirty. Carpet filthy and stank of mould meant to be clean for praying can’t imagine last time it was washed or cleaned. Balcony dirty. Furniture in the room was so outdated and falling apart. Dust everywhere in the room including corners and around the bed. Behind the cabinets. Broken wardrobe doors Dirty curtains Phone constantly flashing message throughout day and night but no message Cockroach in room Control Buttons not working properly Bath was leaking- fixed 2nd time of asking then smell of sealant for days. Toilet leaking not been fixed we mentioned this on day 2 Terrible shower pressure One time we were given hand towels throughout a 5 night stay. Smell in bathroom- mould Hallway outside room smelt of urine Breakfast- Terrible quality of produce. Watered down yoghurts and juice Bakery is not fresh made- budget supermarket quality. Breakfast staff are slow and uninterested. Beach parasols- full of holes. SunBeds ripped and poor quality. Aircons around hotel leaking. Reception is a circus and far too busy and no ones ever at guest relations 5 Star Hotel?? Please!!! 3 star at best. Was told a manager would come and speak to us about a cockroach being in the room but no one came and no one cared. The Ula beach restaurant was nice only positive thing I can say. Good location but traffic is a nightmare in the evenings getting off the palm. Don’t stay Don’t waste your money on this hotel!!

Nice hotel overall good location and very good services - beach and swimming pools are nice and enjoyable. The overall organization though was very approximate: - room cleaning is very poor . I have to call 3 times to get my room made up in 6 days - cleaning is very superficial. My room door and furniture was dirty and never cleaned - I didn’t get the towels and a shower mat all the times … we were 4 occupants and we got just to face towels -at the beach towels where often not available in the late morning and afternoons - half board was ok but lacked of quality some time but just right for the price - my deposit it is held after 2 days of check out Overall I would probably not return to this hotel.

Wir hatten ein Upgrade auf ein traumhaftes Zimmer bekommen. Das war wirklich toll. Allerdings war der Aussicht vom Balkon nicht sehr schön und der Teppich müsste ausgetauscht werden, es hat etwas „muffig“ gerochen. Allerdings war der Strand nicht sehr schön. Sie Liegen waren schon sehr abgenutzt und die Polster dreckig. Wir waren nur eine Nacht da und wollten gern das Frühstück auf den Anreise Tag vorziehen. Dieses war nicht möglich. Warum auch immer? In anderen Hotels war dies noch nie ein Problem. Als wir dann am nächsten Tag beim Frühstück waren, mussten wir feststellen, dass man sich das hätte sparen können. Die Auswahl war sehr klein und für Latte Machiato hätte man einen Aufpreis zahlen müssen! Das habe ich noch nie erlebt. Wie gesagt für eine Nacht war es ok, und das Zimmer war sehr toll. Aber wir kommen nicht wieder.

Great hotel in a great location. The hotel smeakt amazing, it was clean and the room we stayed in was more than adequate with a bedroom, kitchen area and two bathrooms. The pool area was open until 10pm which was great.

The hotel has changed significantly since our visit a few years ago and sadly no longer reflects a five-star standard. The rooms feel tired and unkempt, and it was disappointing to have to pay extra for basic items such as standard lattes at breakfast which always was included before. The overall quality of the food has also declined. Unfortunately, despite having stayed here many times in the past, we will not be returning.

For what we paid the hotel was fine. All of the staff were lovely and very helpful. The breakfast buffet had a really great selection of food which we enjoyed. The location is good for walking across the nakheel mall. However there were a few things in the room that bothered us. The light switches were very annoying, they had an image on them for which switch did what but this has faded and is impossible to see when it’s dark and you need a light on. There’s also a delay between pressing the button and anything happening so you’re not sure if it’s worked or not. The fridge door in our room didn’t shut properly which was frustrating as it meant we couldn’t keep anything properly cool. The shower wasn’t great, doesn’t have much power and wouldn’t stay a consistent temperature, kept going freezing cold or scolding hot. It’s also quite difficult to get into as it’s a bath within a shower screen and there’s not anything to hold onto whilst climbing into the bath except the flimsy glass door. I don’t know if we were there a busy week but the outside pool very quickly ran out of sunbeds and we were sent down to the beach.

The staff at the Dukes Hotel are all very friendly and willing to help. Our room was clean and tidy, but the bathroom was showing its age. The toilet didn't always flush properly, and the shower door seal leaked, which meant every shower produced a small flood on the bathroom floor. We did inform Reception, and they sent engineers to our room to try to fix the issues. Whilst the shower seal was improved, it still din't prevent leaks on the floor, and the toilet flushing issues remained throughout our stay. The room had an electronic 'Do Not Disturb' and 'Clean My Room' indicator, but the staff didn't seem to take any notice of them. Once they knocked to clean our room when the Do Not Disturb indicator was on, and twice they failed to clean the room, despite the Clean My Room indicator showing, so we had to ask at Reception for our room to be clean. To be fair, they did act on this very quickly, but it would've been nice to have had the room cleaned without asking, particularly as we'd gone to the trouble of setting the indicator.

The service was unbelievable from the moment I checked in until the moment I checked out. I was supposed to have 2 rooms but unfortunately my wife and daughter couldn’t travel due to my daughter taking ill. Christopher who was on reception managed to put me on a higher floor which was very much appreciated under the circumstances. All in all a top 5 star hotel

Check-in was quick and easy, which set the tone for a smooth stay. The pool is absolutely amazing, and the rooms are wonderful – clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I was especially impressed with the housekeeping team; they do an excellent job. We did have a minor issue during our stay, reported to the front desk and it was resolved promptly and professionally. Great service all around! The only downside was breakfast – it can get very busy. But with so many guests and lots of hungry people, it’s understandable. Overall, a fantastic experience. Would definitely stay here again!

We moved from the Anantara hotel to Dukes the palm as we heard a lot of goods things. We booked a room with breakfast for 3 days through hotel.com. When we arrived the hotel said they did not have this booking. A particular rude receptionist called Chris seemed to have a very poor attitude and didnt listen nor take our complaints seriously. Vikas and Asif were amazing and a credit to the industry and without their help my time on holiday would have been a mess. The pool is way to deep for children so you if you cant swim or have small kids there is a limited shallow end. Not a great experience and I wont be going again.

Deceptive meal policy: I prepaid for lunch and dinner, but drinks — including water — were not included. Only low-quality tap water was served at breakfast. Beach service: Guests must carry towels and open heavy umbrellas themselves. Staff was rude and commanding — no courtesy at all. Saturday discrimination: On Saturdays, hotel guests are forced to eat outdoors in 39°C heat, while outside visitors with red wristbands take all indoor tables and receive free drinks and better service. Paying guests wear blue wristbands and are treated as second-class. Poor hospitality: Staff rarely greet guests. Restaurant tables and outdoor chairs were filthy and not cleaned between seatings. Aggressive tipping culture: After every meal, staff chased us with receipts asking for tips — even for prepaid buffets. Room conditions: Dirty carpet, stained towels, filthy balcony, non-functioning TV, very dim bathroom light, unemptied trash, and poor cleaning overall. Spa experience: Staff followed me to my room demanding payment — extremely intrusive. Privacy violation: One morning, staff dumped my personal bag into a trash bag due to a small cream spill — without my consent. Final insult: The night before checkout, they wanted to send someone to my room to remove the minibar. Only after I refused did they agree to charge the deposit. Absolutely no trust, service, or respect. Terrible experience.

Very nice and modern 5 star hotel. When my reservation was made I was given the option to add breakfast for $5US, it's definitely worth it. No self parking, only valet but it's free (not anymore if you tip the drivers which is a must anyway). Private beach and location at the Palm Jumeira in front of the mall and monorail is a plus.

Loved the hotel location. Easy access to private beach. Hotel has a great indoor pool. Staff was friendly and quite helpful in general. Palm Jumeriah Mall is literally right in front of the Hotel. Hotel is a little outdated, and there was a change of ownership during our stay.

El hotel esta estratégicamente situado, delante de un centro comercial y con playa privada. También hay un paseo, muy cerca, lleno de restaurantes. Me gusto la amabilidad de todos los empleados del hotel, del primero al último, desde recepción a servicio de desayunos a habitaciones, están siempre pendientes por si necesitas alguna cosa. El desayuno es abundante y esta todo riquísimo! Es la tercera vez que nos alojamos en el hotel este año y volveremos sin duda.

Dukes the palm, not 5 star. I compare it with very many other hotels i’ve stayed in in Dubai. It felt that i was at a charter hotel in an other country, than the normal Dubai luxury feeling you usually get here. So if you just want a bed, a clean hotel and only want something to put in your stomach for breakfast its ok. But if you stayed at other five stars in Dubai before, and wonder if Dukes could be the next good one, or its your first stay and you want the luxurious Dubai feeling, this is not the hotel for that. Few options at breakfast, you saw “ chefs” opening fabricated food Most boring breakfast ever. 8-10 min walk too the pool. Sun bed very close too each other. I guess only 200, so you must get there early to get one. They are Lower than normal beds. Small staircase and two ladders in too the pool, starcaise and ladders filled with kids playing, no place for them too stay, no kids area, pool was 160 cm all over. Bad plumbing, had to flush twice always, was the same in restroom and restaurant. Not possible to get taxi outside, they will offer you expensive hotel car. You must download uper app to get out and about. Best part was Ula by the pool, always good food and service. Its not part off the hotel though… but you can sign to room there. We had an really early flight and asked if we could check out the nigt before. That was not possible so we had to get up even earlier for that Will not go again, its not 5*

Excellent hotel in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, which was particularly welcome after an overnight flight. Our room was made ready as quickly as possible and well before the advertised time. We were free to use all the facilities and take a shower etc while waiting for the room. Situated on the ‘trunk’ of the the Palm, it is directly opposite Nakheel Mall (approx 5-10 min walk) which has great retail outlets and also houses the Palm Monorail, which will connect you to the tram/metro system and get you pretty much anywhere in Dubai safely and at a lower cost. Although food/drink is relatively expensive (which is generally the same in all the hotels) there are cheaper options in the Mall which may suit a lower budget. The monorail will also take you to the top of the Palm and Atlantis Hotel, where you will find Aquaventure which is amazing (if water parks are your thing). Book online in advance to get a cheaper deal though. There are great restaurants in the hotel and Ula beach/pool bar is great, with friendly and efficient staff. The pool and private beach are great, with abundant sun loungers. The gym is great and the pictures on the website don’t do it justice. Plenty of modern equipment and great views over the complex and towards JBR. To summarise, great hotel, great facilities and friendly staff, situated in a very convenient location. I would definitely stay here again.

Das Hotel ist wirklich toll. Schöner Pool, schöner Strand und auch das Essen war sehr gut. Das einzige was zu bemängeln ist das es sehr wenig Taxis gibt mit denen man vom Hotel fahren kann. Leider ist man auf diese aber angewiesen von da aus. Sonst wirklich super.

Överlag så är vi nöjda, rummet var bra, frukost/lunch bra, service var bra och personalen var hela tiden mån om att vi skulle ha det bra. Frukosten var överbefolkat och var du inte nere i tid till poolen så liten chans att du får plats då. Vi har varit i Dubai tre gånger och första gången på palmen, var inte fascinerad på grund av trafiken varje gång vi skulle ta oss ut.

I am writing this review to share my experiences during my stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, I am very dissatisfied with several aspects of my visit. One of the main issues is the food. The menu lacks variety, and there are no children's meals available. No matter what I order, the food just doesn’t taste good, and it is clearly not well-prepared. Additionally, the "clean" plates I receive are sometimes dirty, which does not meet my hygiene standards and is very unpleasant for me. Another issue is the lack of transparency on the Expedia website. I book a full-board package, but it is not clearly stated that I must pay extra for drinks during lunch and dinner. This was a big disappointment on my first day at the hotel. Before my arrival, I request gluten-free options, but unfortunately, almost every dish contains gluten. I have difficulty finding suitable meals and never feel full during my stay. Overall, my experience does not meet my expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel.

The beach vibe is nice. The grounds and common areas are beautiful. The bed was uncomfortable until I brought it up and they quickly added layers to my bedding. Service was quick and attentive. Facilities do show wear and tear in the rooms. The breakfast buffet has a huge variety of options.

Vanwege overgang van barcelo naar minor waren er wat veranderingen. Ontbijt was minder uitgebreid en er werd geen cappuccino meer geserveerd bij het ontbijt. Wel gewone koffie welke van zeer slechte kwaliteit was.

The hotel has changed significantly since our visit a few years ago and sadly no longer reflects a five-star standard. The rooms feel tired and unkempt, and it was disappointing to have to pay extra for basic items such as standard lattes at breakfast which always was included before. The overall quality of the food has also declined. Unfortunately, despite having stayed here many times in the past, we will not be returning.

This place is absolutely amazing. The hotel has a lazy river, the beach bar and restaurant is amazing. The infinity pool and view is out of this World. The staff is so kind.

We didn’t like the trick of asking for paying for drinks even water at dinner and noon meals. why payed a lot of money for full meals morning noon and evening. Include drinks! that not nice Tweak.

The property was well located for access to the Nakheel Mall, Monorail and Club Vista Mare bars/restaurants. I am not sure I would recommend the half board basis, the food was quite repetitive and there are plenty restaurants and bars that were of better quality in the Club Vista Mare area (2 streets over from the hotel). However the Indian restaurant and the food at the beach bar were excellent. Long queues for eggs of a morning. The beach towels were very old and many should be replaced along with the parasols, many were broken and there were just not enough for the amount of sunbeds. The covering on the cushions of many of the sunbeds were also ripped. Just be aware that drinks and extras are very expensive in the hotel but we were prepared for that. Happy hour was available in the indoor bar areas but not the outdoor which was dissapointing. Water is free at breakfast but they charge for it in the evening, we totally disagreed with this. Use the general taxis and not the "hotel linked taxis" - these were a lot more expensive.
