Hotel staff were really lovely and went above and beyond helping us up the stairs with the pram. The bathroom was lovely with fresh towels. Tea was good. Beds were comfy. Could do with a lick of white paint in some areas but that was minor. Good central location for us to get to the Eurostar. Early check out was no issue. Bar was helpful to get drinks. Netflix was a bonus on the tv. Enjoyed the eco body wash and had no reaction with sensitive skin ❤️

The room was small but perfect for one person. It would have been nice to have at least a complimentary bottle of water. Also, there is no elevator on the property. This wasn't too much of an inconvenience for me since I only had 1 piece of luggage, but this could be a problem for those with a lot of large luggage and mobility challenges. The property is a short walk to the King's Cross-St. Pancras subway station. The hotel area is quiet but close to shopping area, food and cafes. I recommend this hotel for short trips.

The House of Toby is a fantastic little gem of a hotel. Super close to kings cross, rooms were clean and modern styling. There was a heatwave during my stay and the Aircon made all the difference. Overall I had a fantastic stay and if I come to London again, this will be first on my list!

Was in G05 right next to the air handling units and the construction work. No chance of any sleep. If I was told prior to booking I’d have gone to the Point A hotel on the corner. Other rooms may be ok. But the ground floor ones out the back….don’t waste your money!

Great location and price. Construction next door but didn’t affect us since it stopped around 6pm. The hotel is tight for space on the stairs ( no elevators) and the fire alarm went off while we were there which was good since it worked.

1 night stay on the 2nd floor, fyi there is no lift so with a heavy suitcase this could be a struggle, that aside, the staff were very friendly, polite and welcoming. Room was okay for a 1 night stay, a little small but pleasant enough, the bathroom could’ve done with a shelf for toiletries rather than on the floor but loved the waterfall shower and pleased with the optional handheld shower head Short walk to St Pancras/King's Cross station which was important.

I attended a Rugby League match at Wembley and needed to get back home after the match. I wanted a single room for one night close to Euston where I could store my bag. This hotel was ideal for this. Renovated small single room in good condition with a/c close to good transport connections. Friendly check in with good bag storage.

The stay was awful, the room stank of sewage and the toilet was unbearable. I asked for a new and told there wasn’t one. The receptionist knew there was an issue as he just left us standing there at check saying nothing and came back with air spray.l which he tried to hide at the bar. It was late so couldn’t find anywhere else to move. There was a leak at the back of the toilet with water and no plug for the sink. I would like some compensation and this was a health and safety concern and no help from the staff. Not his fault but not helpful.

Initially it looked great, after a closer inspection, the room walls were very dirty, no bathroom door and cracked tiles in the bathroom. With a tiny small window at the top of the room.

Would not stay here again. The staff are great but the property is dirty, tired and the walls are extremely thin. Was woken up constantly by traffic and people in the corridor (and I am really not a light sleeper). But the worst bit was their FIRE ALARM. It went off at midnight and again at 7.30am. Both times were accidental…it was just awful.

First room we were given wasnt very clean and smelt funny but i asked to move and second room was perfect, only issue is the construction next door which reception did pre warn us about, it started at 8 am, but thats not the hotel's fault, they were friendly and its good location only a few mins walk from Kings cross

Hotel was basic but just right for an overnight stay. Perfect location for getting around london. Downside was there was Quite a lot of road noise and thin internal walls so could hear adjoining room quests talking showering toileting and banging doors. Good basic hotel though, would stay again with earplugs . Good value for money

Room was nicely decorated but was very small and got incredibly hot through the night. The bed was very small (I’m not the tallest person) but my feet touched the wall when laid down. My sleep wasn’t great, primarily due to a guest setting off the fire alarm but appreciate the hotel has little to do with this. All the staff I encountered were really friendly and helpful and the hotel was generally clean and well presented.

This hotel is perfect if you just need somewhere to rest your head. Rooms are pretty small but didnt bother as was arriving late and leaving early. The room door was a bit stiff so you had to push firmer to close, making a bang. Felt it would disturb other guests. Staff were very friendly and welcoming

An early start for the Eurostar was the reason for booking a hotel. The House of Toby was rated highly as being within 350m of St.Pancras station. The welcome on reception was warm and friendly and our room was sensibly proportioned and the shower facilities were first class. The bed was comfortable if a little small. The toilet systern needed attention as it leaked until given a gentle tap. Overall we slept well as the road in which the hotel.sits is nice and quiet. When we left our reception person wished us a pleasant day and he was cheerful and polite. Well worth the price!

I had booked another hotel but seeing it consistently got 2/10 in reviews, decided I'd better look for something else. And remembered House of Toby. I've stayed here before and was happy to return. My room on the lower ground floor was, well, compact (bathroom had a sliding door - no space for a normal door!) but it had everything needed for a pleasant stay. The bed was very comfortable. Fixtures and fittings were of good quality. The guy who checked me in kindly carried my luggage down to my room and the guy who checked me out (I remember him from a previous stay) was charming, polite and cheerful. Most importantly, the room rate was, for this area of London and for this quality of room, surprisingly low. I did find the dark grey/black decor a bit oppressive in a small room but that's really a pretty minor quibble. House of Toby - definitely recommended.

Very friendly staff and comfortable well-decorated and very clean room. The room is slightly on a small side, but that did not cause us any problem. The location, although close to St Pancras and King’s Cross is on a quiet side street, so had a peaceful night.

Hotel staff were really lovely and went above and beyond helping us up the stairs with the pram. The bathroom was lovely with fresh towels. Tea was good. Beds were comfy. Could do with a lick of white paint in some areas but that was minor. Good central location for us to get to the Eurostar. Early check out was no issue. Bar was helpful to get drinks. The girl on reception was very welcoming. I was very tired after a day of travel so grateful for a room on the ground floor so I didnt have to carry my heavy suitcase up stairs. However my room was quite noisy as I heard every guest coming in and going upstairs at all hours of the night. You hear a lot of traffic noise as the ground floor room was literally next to the pavement, although I couldnt see as the room had no window - it had been blocked up for some reason. My window was also right by a traffic light so cars would stop at the light & Id hear their music playing and then the engine revving up on green. The main negative was a strange bad drain smell in the bathroom,, but I was too tired to complain or try and get a different room. The room was small but perfect for 1 person just needing a room for the night. It was immaculately clean but th3 pullows were pretty flat and not comfy. There is a bar and room service but I didnt use either. I'm not sure I'd stay there again. Not recommended for light sleepers!

This is a great friendly little hotel. The welcome you get is so warm and every time you go in and out the lovely gentleman take time to speak to you. Room great and comfortable and the breakfast a welcome bonus.

I enjoyed my brief stay here. The room, across a small inner courtyard, was quiet, compact; comfortable bed, good shower. The man at reception was helpful, cheerful and welcoming. Breakfast (at extra cost) is continental and very fairly priced. WiFi reception a bit intermittent. The hotel is quite well situated: various convenient bus routes pass nearby.

Staff was excellent and attentive. Breakfast was good in value and price. Very clean. Only problem: room is very small. I guess we can’t expect bigger room in London, especially in such central and convenient locations.

An early start for the Eurostar was the reason for booking a hotel. The House of Toby was rated highly as being within 350m of St.Pancras station. The welcome on reception was warm and friendly and our room was sensibly proportioned and the shower facilities were first class. The bed was comfortable if a little small. The toilet systern needed attention as it leaked until given a gentle tap. Overall we slept well as the road in which the hotel.sits is nice and quiet. When we left our reception person wished us a pleasant day and he was cheerful and polite. Well worth the price!
