Quadruple room was perfect for our family of 4 for 2 nights. Really funky hotel with nice common areas and a cool hotel bar with DJ. Good location close to Time Square. Just a shame we couldn’t get to use the roof top bar as our children were only 18 and 20. In the UK they would have been fine. Maybe if accompanied by an adult over 18 should be allowed?

Excellent location and perfect for our 3 night stay. A little noisy but that is to be expected right in the middle of NYC. We couldn’t check into our room until 6.30pm which was frustrating after a long journey, but the staff gave us complimentary drinks and the rest of the stay was great. Staff helpful, lots of space, we brought takeout back a couple of times and were able to eat it in the lounge area. Food and drink were nice. Beds comfy. Lounge area is lively and quite busy, with a DJ playing some nights. There is a rooftop bar, but you have to be 21. All in all it worked well for us, a family of 6 who wanted to be in the heart of Manhattan.

The hotel is conveniently located and clean, but the elevators are lethal. There is keypad system to request the elevator you want, and after that you have zero control over your life and where you end up. There are no sensors on the elevator doors, so they will close on you if you are a fraction of a second too slow getting on- and they will not stop! Then the elevator may take you up, may take you down, may stop at your floor, or it may blow past it and get you on the way back. Or perhaps your key card won't work at all! When I checked in, there was a long line of people trying to get their key cards working! I can't recommend a hotel with such a bizarre system.

Great stay, loved the hotel and the vibe. The roof terrace is amazing - and a nice surprise. Free coffee at breakfast and $20 to spend at the bakery next door was a bonus. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay at the Moxy. It is well situated near Times Square, which makes it easy to get around everywhere in NYC. The hotel has several restaurant options, including a wonderful bakery right outside the front door. The rooftop bar is cool, offering nice views of the city. The inside bar if beautiful and the service was great. It was nice having a full restaurant in the hotel for those nights when we were just too tired to go out. We didn’t mind the small room too much. But there is no closet. Clothes must be hung on pegs around the room, which are very difficult to get to. You have to crawl across the bed to get your clothing. Other than that small inconvenience, it was a lovely stay and I would do it again. Axel was very helpful with directions, etc.

Great hotel for a few nights in the big apple. Conveniently located between a couple of subway stations making access to attractions accessible. The hotel is modern and a bit quirky with great bar areas especially the magic rooftop bar with stunning view of ESB. The only down side was the room had a drop down desk but no chair to sit on and the room was not cleaned every day of our stay also when it was cleaned it was late in the day. But overall a good hotel.

Our first room was on the 3rd floor and felt very cramped as the bed was between the window and the bathroom wall. Luckily Craig in front desk helped us arrange a move up to the 12th floor for the next nights and the room was definitely more spacious. The best thing about Moxy Times Square besides location is the adjacent bar/lounge/co-working space on the 2nd floor, you might miss it unless you specifically stop at that floor. It is very lively and is always buzzing with people watching sports in their giant screen, other nights they have a live DJ in the lounge. Although the hotel charges a daily resort fee, you get to use most of it daily as credits in the bar or the Cafe D'Avignon next to the hotel which has good coffee and good quick bites to go. We would definitely come back.

Rooms are extremely small. The AC in our room didn’t work well. We had to have the technician come up twice and still didn’t work properly. The room also had a stale smell. The staff and service were great. I would give them 5 star for the staff and service.

Staff was good. Surrounding area was alright. My issues are with the elevators and the room. The elevators were the worst to get in and out having huge groups waiting 5+ minutes trying fit us all in a small elevator and many of us having to not get in and waiting another 5+ minutes. Room were small but the problem wasn’t that, it was the broken toilet that would stop flushing itself and the water from the shower flooding our room and wetting our bags. We had to use all the towels to clean it up. It was horrible. Also the hallways leading to the room were dark and hard to breathe, felt as if there was no movie air or air at all at times. I have photos amid the room floor being flooded.

Unfortunately we had no end of issues with our room. No hot water most days, blocked toilet and stinky drains. The issues were resolved but the hot water happened on several occasions and these issues impacted our enjoyment as having to constantly be dealing with this. The solution of the very expensive stay … a refund of 37 dollars ! Nothing offered for the bother !

Stains on the sheets and blankets, writing on the headboards, cracks in the tv. The bunk bed wasn’t properly bolted into the wall, when I called they said engineering would come, but they never did. I reminded them again the next day and they moved us to another room, but that almost made us late to our broadway show.

We stayed only one night. Unfortunately, there was a hot water issue… as in “no” hot water. We were notified promptly. Moxy waived the $32 destination fee. I did not feel this was fair compensation for $425 one night stay with an ice cold shower. After a few phone calls, they did resolve with a more fair compensation. Just wish it didn’t take a month for me to finally get something acceptable. All in all, we would stay there again.

I didn’t like the fact that they said it was going to be a deduction of $35 USD, and instead of that they had charged me $172.10 . Secondly the receptionist told she was going to email the invoice and she never did, so I don’t know why I was charged with the $172.10 usd. Thirdly the room had some human hair in the window and in the bathroom, plus the bathroom wasn’t clean properly it has a lot of missing spots of tooth paste around the outside walls. And last the room was very tiny .

My wife and i stayed here for 1 night. It was easy check in. The hotel bar and the rooftop bar were both nice. Drinks on the pricey side but nice ambiance. My only complaint is that the noise from the street was pretty loud. I was located on the 6th fl with windows facing the street. I would recommend a higher floor to help with that. Other than that, it's a lovely small hotel and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

First, this hotel is super cute. It has a good vibe, great location, and a fun bar and restaurant. The staff is also very, very nice. Unfortunately, the rooms are TINY. We had a king size bed, and the width of our room including the bathroom and bedroom, was barely wider than the bed was long. Whoever sleeps against the wall cannot get out of bed without the other person getting up as well or without climbing over the top of your partner. Also, there is no closet. You get about 40 wall hooks, a couple fabric pockets that can hold 5 pairs of socks, and a bit of under bed storage. It is well-priced for the location, but it is not nearly cheap enough to compensate for the fact it is half the size of a normal, already small NYC hotel room. I might consider staying here as a single traveler with no plans of entertaining during my visit, but for the trivial amount of money you are actually saving compared to nearby hotels, I don’t think it is a tradeoff I would be likely to make.

The hotel is modern, hip and in a good location but the rooms are quite small. There was a king sized bed in the room but it was stuffed into the corner of the bed against 3 walls so the person sleeping on the inside had to crawl over the other person to get up during the night. A bit of a challenge and I\'m in decent shape. Also the "convenience fee" was a bit of a surprise.... at a charge of $320 for 4 nights. For this we got $30 per day in credits for food but they should do away with these fees and state upfront the total cost of the accomdation when choosing a hotel upon booking.

We had a weather delay result in a missed connection and myself and my son chose this hotel due to its high rating and reasonable rates for last-minute booking. This hotel and staff did not disappoint. The Moxy is well-located, clean, and full of friendly staff who helped us navigate what could've been a very stressful experience! From making sure we booked the right room (at almost 2AM!), making sure we could navigate the city, storing our luggage and arranging airport transport - the team really stepped up. The hotel itself is quite fun with unique, comfortable decor and fist floor lounge, coffee, and work space. We sadly did not make the roof bar as we were only passing through, however, we very much hope to return for a proper New York visit and stay here again in the future.

We got amazing service at Moxy, the staff here at what makes the place, they go out of their way to help you. We are from New Zealand and had come in from Las Vegas over night and got their at 8am expecting to have to store our luggage the lovely Creig ( not sure on spelling) let us have our room early we were so tired and could not have been more grateful, he also helped as along the way with other tips so kind! Loved loved our stay at the Moxy and New York was an experience which will be with us forever!

The location was fantastic, the rooms are an okay size but relatively basic, which is part of the gimmick of this brand, but far and away the most special part of the experience was the hotel staff themselves. They couldn’t do enough for us, they were so welcoming, friendly, accommodating, and did all they can to make sure we had a wonderful experience. Even going so far as to encourage us to get out, see the city, and make the best of our holiday. Ricky and Amani (the night manager) were wonderful, but the whole team gave us big smiles on every interaction.

I liked the party vibe. Great location for young people who like the Times Square city and fast paced vibe. Short walking distance from Penn Station and nearby subway stations. However, I didn’t like the additional $300 they charge at check in for booking through Expedia. Also didn’t like that there was no counter space, microwave, or fridge. They also told us we would get 2 free complimentary drinks at the bar after check in but they still charged us anyways.

Worst hotel I have stayed at in NYC. From check in to getting my room was a nightmare. They told me they would email when my room was ready. At 5pm I heard nothing. By the time we got there after dinner at 8:30pm I had to recheck in again. I had to get my own luggage from baggage claim in the basement and then when we got to the room it was like a room in a prison with a tiny window and the bed was dirty. At that point we left and checked into another hotel! It was awful.

Early in our stay, we were on a lower floor and found the street noise very disturbing to our sleep. The staff quickly and competently rectified the situation and assigned us a much quieter room. Nice property and great staff.

We had absolutely wonderful stay at the Moxy Times Square. Staff of the hotel is just amazing. Every day greeting and asking that everything is ok. In all cases if some help needed, they were very helpful. Room was nice and quiet and also very clean. Shower the best I have experienced in any US hotel. Extra thank you for Letitia for her kindness!

Room was small but clean. No wardrobe facilites but plenty of hooks on the wall to hand clothes. Room service every day with fresh towels. Small bottles of water in room every day. Staff very friendly & eacy check in/out process. Great location about a 5 minute walk from times square. Windows thin so could hear everywthing outside.

Location is fantastic so close to Times Square, restaurants are bountiful as is shopping with Macy’s just a block away. Staff were excellent if there is anything you think you need just ask they will help every which way possible. I’ll definitely return.

Our experience at this hotel was disappointing. We booked a queen-size room but were given a double. The staff claimed it was a European queen, but our measurements showed otherwise—and they couldn’t offer a solution due to the hotel being fully booked. The included breakfast was equally underwhelming, consisting of packaged muffins, loaves, and yogurt. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The room is small for 4 people. Felt like I was in a prison. They didn’t come fix the ac til the second night so it was 80 degrees and stuffy to sleep with no air circulating. They fixed it the next day and the mechanic said someone accidentally shut off the condenser when they were cleaning the room. The shampoo and conditioner was low quality. The bathroom was dated and the grout in between the tiles was brown. The mattresses and pillows were so soft that the 4 of us didn’t sleep well and woke up with back pain every morning. There was a night club that blasted music til 2am every night. They offer a $20 credit for food but charge an automatic 15% gratuity and tax so you’re only really getting $15 credit. The elevators are confusing and took a while to adjust. They don’t explain how to use the elevators. If you want to check in early they charge you a $50 fee plus tax. I got billed for bottled water on the second day I was there even though we didn’t drink any of the Fiji water. They over billed me for $35 daily destination fee when I was quoted $30 a day. And really the destination fee is a way to pay extra for the room. have 8 kiosks to check in but only 3 people at a soldout hotel. It was dark and dank and a bit overpriced. No mini fridge or microwave in the room for the egregious price. We paid $1400 for 3 nights. Only plus is the second floor lounge area was quaint, provided free coffee, provided umbrellas for the 3 days it rained and great location.

This property definitely has a modern and cool vibe. The check in area smells lovely as you walk in. I enjoyed access to their rooftop bar, but the $30 you are charged at the front desk for your "free drink" is insane!!! I'll take my $30 back and you can keep your watered down cocktail. The rooms are tiny and stuffy so if youre ok paying for that cool modern vibe with a pleasant smelling check-in area, you'll enjoy your stay.

Great location and the staff were always helpful and on hand. The next door cafe (affiliated with the Moxy) was great. You get a daily $30 credit for the cafe which is a great touch and worth it for the stay. We had a loft room to sleep 3 people and it was far too small. Felt like a cruise liner cabin.

No complaints. The room was comfortable for New York standards, a bit small but it had everything we needed. The staff’s attention was excellent, very friendly, and always willing to help with any needs. We were pleasantly surprised by the $30 daily credit at our disposal to use at the bar or the café next to the hotel. The location was excellent, and the décor very creative.

Hotel is in an excellent location, walkable to Times Square and Penn Station. Hotel staff are friendly with an excellent Moxy Bar. Rooms can be small with a noisy AC unit however to be expected when staying in NYC. Be aware of the $30 per day destination fee that is applied to your reservation - you must use this or lose it (can be used at the coffee shop next door or at the hotel bar - not the rooftop or restaurant which was disappointing). Overall good hotel for a few days in NYC.
