The Frenchmen New Orleans By Kasa Living

The Frenchman was a great hotel. Our room was towards the front and a little louder but didn't bother us at all. The pool was good and Tiki Tock was a great bar.

Great value stay and the property is adorable. Was a little grumpy that the pool was down indefinitely for a cleaning and the tv didn’t work, but the staff got the pool cleaned for the next day. The pool made the stay with a break from the heat and humidity. Didn’t think we would be able to sleep Saturday night with how loud it was, but underestimated our exhaustion and Sunday and Monday night you could hear a pin drop. We’ll be back to New Orleans many times and we’ll stay here again for the majority.

Our suite was great and gave the classic New Orleans vibe, my only complaint was that the hot tub was not available for use.

The only complaint was that the property does not have onsite parking…we had to use public parking which did not have in and out privileges.

I'll definitely return! The only con was that the jacuzzi was not hot. I really wanted to enjoy a night in the jacuzzi.

The location couldn't be better - right on Frenchmen St but super close to all the fun stuff on Decatur. The pool and hot tub were a good vibe, the bar was great and the rooftop was a relaxing place to hang out in the day. The staff were super accessible and responsive. The room itself was stylish but very minimal, and aside from a closet there wasn't much room to put our stuff. We stayed there for four nights and had to basically live out of our suitcases, which was a bit frustrating. But we got used to it quickly. One of us had to work a few hours two of the days, and the little desk was definitely adequate for that. After adjusting to the motel layout and bare bones room, we really grew to love the place. It was right in line with the weird and carefree feel of New Orleans, and i would definitely stay there again.

If you’re in New Orleans to see music, the location can’t be beaten. That said, I was disappointed with our stay overall. I’ll start with the positives. The lobby area is very cute and the staff there were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and as advertised. Comfortable bed. The bathrooms are small as others have said. The bar at the property is permanently closed. Not sure when that happened. That was disappointing since I had read other reviewers comment on how it was a cool spot. The hot tub is also broken and has been since at least January. It was kind of dirty as well. Those things combined made the hotel just feel kind of dead. There’s also a small homeless community living across from the hotel which led to occasional noise. That said, we said no trouble. The biggest noise issue was that cars driving by and loitering out front were blaring music were easily heard from our ground floor room, only a couple feet back from the street. I’d read other complaints about noise but dismissed them because I lived in NYC for a decade, didn’t think I would be bothered by it. But this was next level. It was only really a problem on Saturday night, but it went on until well after midnight. The coffee offered by the hotel consisted of lukewarm water and instant coffee packets. Finally, I’m not sure when Kasa took over management, and I can imagine this was a better place to stay before that switch. Kasa has this virtual front desk situation where you basically do your o

The hotel was adorable and in a very walkable location. My only complaint is that the pool was closed and this was a large part of our reason for booking here.

Check-in and everything during the stay was easy. Hotel has a great vibe and handy location. I imagine some of the rooms by the street might have been a little noisy, but we had no issues during our stay over a weekend. We had a car and parking was easy, and not too expensive in the lot on the same block as the hotel.

This place is a hidden gem! My favorite pool in all of NOLA. It is the perfect location to spend the day on Frenchman, at the French Market, and then come back to the room or pool for a midday recharge. Love the decor and vibe!

We loved our stay at Kasa! The hotel was beautiful. We really enjoyed how close everything was to our hotel. The pool and jacuzzi were a nice bonus! The room was clean, staff friendly and helpful, and overall time in New Orleans was a blast. we will be back!

The good: * Property looked clean and well cared for, although a bit old. * I can't hear noises from bars on the street, which is good and surprisingly. The bad: * Happy with the facility until one night, found a huge cockroach (bigger than a quarter) in the bathroom. * I can hear and almost make out the conversation from the room next door.

The hotel was so cute! The room was clean, it was great that we had a mini fridge as well! There was a closet with hangers and a suitcase stand which was very helpful since there was minimal counter space. The bathroom is a little tight so be aware that you might have to sit on the toilet at an angle... took a little getting used to but overall not bad! Complimentary fruit and water in the lobby was nice, the location was also perfect right at the end of the French Quarter so we could walk everywhere! Expect noise being so close to the nightlife.

We had a charming stay at The Frenchmen. The bed and linens were really comfortable! Everything was very clean. We took advantage of the hot tub and pool. It was wonderful! We spent most nights on Frenchmen St listening to music. The location was perfect for this! The French Quarter was really accessible as well, and there's a trolley that takes you down to Canal St from the French Market. The staff at The Frenchmen were really friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

Liked the vintage property. Very Clean. Felt safe with the security they have. It's close to the trolley & sightseeing by foot & good music. Liked the courtyard , very enjoyable.

Built in 1860, the hotel is very old and quaint. It was in a great area with everything within very close walking distance. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. You are not staying at a 5 star hotel with all the services but for us, it was great since we were never in our room anyway. If you are bothered by noise, don't get a room on the street. Our room was in the courtyard so the noise was not an issue. I would stay there again.

Nice accommodations and the courtyard and pool were appreciated during the mid afternoon heat. The only quibble was the bathrooms were on the small side.

This hotel is gorgeous. Everything I wanted from a beautiful New Orleans building! I didn't go in but the pool was stunning. Air con and fridge in the room. Corner shops nearby for water etc. The location was perfect. Right next to the french market, street car stop and frenchmen street bazaar and pubs. The noise didn't keep us awake at all and we were directly above reception next to the stairs. The Tiki Tok was great next door too. My one and only issue was that we were there for 5 nights with lots of luggage and there were no drawers or wardrobe for our clothes. We were in america for 17 nights and could have done with somewhere for our things. Instead of the quite usless desk under the TV, a huge set of drawers for storage would have been so much more helpful. Our room was large and could have handled lots more storage options. A full length mirror would have been nice too. Even if it was in the hall! All we had was some hangers on wall hooks. The bathroom was clean and very nice. The decor in the place was fantastic. I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat. Despite the lack of storage, as everything else was great. If you do have large cases, be aware there's no lift. BEAUTIFUL hotel.

Beautiful historic hotel. Me and my boyfriend enjoyed our time at the Frenchmen Hotel. If you want a quite hotel this is not the spot for you. Me and my boyfriend enjoy the late night hustle and bustle so this was ideal for us.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Frenchmen. We travel to New Orleans multiple times a year and typically stay in the Quarter, but we really enjoyed staying just outside of the Quarter on Frenchmen St. and taking on everything this area had to offer while also still being a short walk away from the Quarter. The rooms were the most spacious I have encountered of anywhere I’ve stayed (including a very spacious bathroom as well) and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We also loved the on-site bar (the bartender was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the area and recommendations) and the pool, hot tub and courtyard were great! We would definitely stay again!

The hotel and staff are absolutely fantastic! We stayed in the king room with a balcony which was so neat, the only downfall was the cars driving by blaring their music on the weekend nights. I should have thought about noise and definitely wouldn’t have stayed that close to the street in the hotel. I hope that makes sense because the only complaint I have is because I didn’t think the noise thru. The hotel is beautiful, the vibe is everything. The staff is so attentive and polite! The atmosphere is very peaceful! I look forward to staying again!

Check in attendant assisted me as I had arrived earlier than initial check in! I appreciated this support after already traveling 6 hours to get to the hotel

Non-responsive service. Hotel has no in-person staff and you have to upload selfies and your ID to their weird service. We didn’t end up staying so I’m not sure what the property is actually like. It might be fine but it seems like their customer service is just an automated text chain. Not a fan.

I have been traveling regularly to New Orleans for almost 20 years and have to say I think this was my best stay yet. The accomodations were bright and roomy with just a touch of funky flair. The pool area was so charming that I took advantage of it acouple times during the morning hours. I dont think I've ever bothered with the pool at my hotels on my previous trips. The staff was helpful and charming. When I travel to New Orleans again this will be the first place I check for availability. If I would site any minuses it would be not being able to use the balcony and lack of a kitchen area but honestly, who eats in in New Orleans? lol (there is a fridge tho) If you want a charming, authentic feeling French Quarter/ Faubourg Marigny vibe of a place? Highly recommend Kasa on Frenchmen

The Frenchmen was PERFECT. The pillows were to die for- majorly comfortable bed that made me want to stay in all day if it weren’t for the NOLA life calling me out. Perks: Bed Great A/C Design and decor were perfection Easy check-in & check-out Great location- blocks from the quarter Coffee- the lobby coffee in the morning was delish! Minor Negatives: Frenchmen St is LOUD at night. Cars parade by with subwoofers. I was in room 209 which was on the inner part above the pool. It wasn’t a problem for me but if you’re sensitive to noise, take note. Water- the water temp in the room was only warm and hot. No cold water :( Text Communication- a little overkill TBH No microwave- NOLA food calls for leftovers. Wish they had a communal microwave at least. Overall HIGHLY recommend. I’ll be a regular!

Everything was great under Mr. Collins (*front desk attendant) watch; however, the checkout process wasnt so friendly ( the checkout attendant was a bit rude, unfriendly and not helpful at all....Upon checkout, I'd asked her for a cup of ice, she grunted as if i was asking her to move the hotel a few feet. I do NOT care to cross her path in the future). Collin gets an A+ for service, friendliness and professionalism!!!

The Frenchmen Hotel is a must for anyone keen on exploring the cultural scene in New Orleans, without any of the trashy chaos of Bourbon Street. We also found it extremely affordable for what you're getting out of it. If you're looking for a spot at the edge of the French quarter, in walking distance to virtually everything, with all the jazz, blues, deep roots, and southern cuisine that Frenchmen Street has to offer, then this is the place for you. There's a gorgeous pool under an open sky available to patrons at all times, the staff are very attentive and kind, and the rooms are fun and clean. The only thing to be aware of (and they'll be the first to tell you via text message in advance of your stay), it is very loud right up until around 12am for most nights, and up to 3am on Friday and Saturday night. But if you're willing to plan around that rather than resist it, you'll be fine! You're on vacation in NOLA for goodness sakes! Live a little :)

We had a very nice stay at the Frenchmen Hotel. The location is right at the end of Frenchmen street which is great if you want easy access to many music venues in the French Quarter. We went out of season so it was relatively quiet but would be very noisy in season.

This is a magnificent place to stay in New Orleans. I stayed here one for a wedding and since then I don’t look anywhere else for a room if the Frenchmen is available. There’s not much to the place except nice old rooms at a great location. The rooms can feel a bit bare and some fixtures are old but that’s part of the charm for us. Excellent pool and hot tub. Highly recommend.

This property has a great location on Frenchmen St. That being said, it is noisy in the evening. But the grounds were beautiful, well kept, fresh, and the staff was very accommodating. They serve strong coffee, tea, and fruit to get you on your way in the moring.

Such a lovely and charming place. Excellent location right at the end of Frenchman; a very short walk from Three Muses, Spotted Cat and also French Market and Jackson Square. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and just delightful. My wife and I just love NOLA history and this had the "if these walls could talk" vibe. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be back!

Fun place to stay with soooo many music clubs within 2 blocks!

The Frenchman is a pleasant boutique hotel located on Frenchman Street, which is about 6 blocks away from Bourbon Street. French man street is a mini version of Bourbon street that the locals go to instead. Check it out, you will love it.

The property is lovely but the building across the street is a complete eye sore - graffiti broken windows. It’s such a shame. The hotel is funky and has a private bar, pool, hot tub. But the area has gotten rougher post Covid. Not the Frenchman’s fault - but as a heads up.

The aesthetic was beautiful along with the attached bar, pool, and the rooftop area. It was a little noisy from Frenchmen street but we knew that going in. The room was smaller than expected and the bathroom door didnt shut all the way. No room service unless you asked, which is fine, just dont expect above and beyond from staff. I'd stay again!

The property was in a great location! Walkable to both Jackson Sqaure & Marigny restaurants and bar. Has a rooftop sitting area and a tiki bar on the first floor. Some reviews state they have live music, but not any longer. The pool was a great reprieve from the walking/heat. Room was clean, cold, and spacious. Had a mini fridge to put our wine and take out leftovers. Only complaint is the bathroom door knob kept falling off the door, so made it difficult to close. The noise level was not an issue. You can hear it, but gets drowned out by the ac units. All else fails, they provide free ear plugs.

The courtyard and pool was really cute. Even though the bars/venues were right down the street, it wasn't that loud. Would have been great if the rooftop bar was functioning, would go back for that

The Frenchmen is a perfect location to explore the music and vibe of the Quarter without a lot of the traffic. Our room was very tiny, but efficient and the bed was clean and comfortable. It is a good budget hotel with character. There is no breakfast however the lobby coffee pot wasn’t reliable either. Scope out your breakfast options beforehand. “Who Dat?” Cafe is a trek but has great coffee and breakfast.
