Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston/Cambridge-Arlington, MA

I made a reservation through hotels.com for 4 people to stay at this hotel for 2 nights. The room I booked was listed as a studio suite on hotels.com and clearly had two queen beds and a sofa bed in the picture on the booking website. When I arrived, I was placed in a room with one queen bed and one sofa bed. This size room does not accommodate our family. When I went back to the desk to request the room size we originally booked and paid for, the staff member insisted I would have to pay an additional $40 a night ($80 total). I contacted hotels.com 3 times trying to get support with this issue and received no help. I also spoke with 3 different staff members at the hotel and emailed the manager trying to get this unfair charge reversed, and no one was willing to do so. The customer service at this hotel was terrible, and given the negative experience with the staff I would absolutely not recommend staying here.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great, with huevos rancheros and potatoes on the menu in addition to other breads and yogurts. Overall a great stay.

The breakfast was expansive and one of the best breakfast buffets I've had at a hotel. Our room was very nice, but the door didn't close to the bathroom. Not the hotels fault, but was woken up at 6:30 Saturday morning to the people next to us having a full blown fight. The parking garage smelled of weed every time we were in it.

Lobby had a strange smell. Room was nice. I did not like the pillows. They were uncomfortable and gave me a stiff neck. Great location

The room was very clean, unfortunately the room location was awful as it was very noisy. There was a huge space between the door and the door frame so you could hear everything outside the door and light shined in all around the door. We were located right behind the ice machine (which dropped loudly during the night) and near the elevator so we could hear everyone coming and going. The heat system made a lot of noise as did the refrigerator so we eventually turned them both off. Neither of us slept much at all, so I doubt we would consider returning. It's too bad because the hotel staff couldn't be any kinder.
