Hotel is good, very clean. Food service was excellent as was the food. But having to pay £5 charge to park my car is a bit over the top. This is not shown on booking, only when you go to leave. There is a notice on entering the car park but assume that is included in room fee.

Booked for two night and out sign outside to clean room but when come back room was same like we left it . Our room door was noisy when opening and closing . Charged for parking if you don’t book with them directly .

Property was tired looking, the television was poor in that it had few channels easily available lots of blank no signal channels. The carpark is quite grubby not easy to push luggage on and poorly laid out. I would not plan to return to this hotel until after it was refurbished

The location is convenient for public transit. The train and bus station is near the area. The building is old but still functional. The elevator was small and there's only one working at the time. During the rush hour for checkout, it took a while to get down. There is a staircase but we have alot of luggages so the elevator was needed. Breakfast was not bad. There's hot and cold options to choose from (add on). Overall I'd actually stay here again. For the price point and convenience, it was pretty well worth it.

I've stayed here many times over the years and its a decent enough hotel. Rooms are a little dated but fit for purpose. Location is great for Glasgow west end. Staff are great and breakfast is decent enough also. Large car park but might be chargeable. Havent ate there often but its pretty expensive from what I can remember.

Very overpriced for a 3 star rating. Having to pay £5 per day for carpark hotel guests was a bit too excessive. The food was very limited and also overpriced and what was on the menu had all run out.

Bright airy reception with a lovely smell. Staff very friendly and easy to check in. Room spotless and very comfortable. Shower in our room a bit dodgy but managed. Large breakfast selection and again staff all lovely. Easy check out. Excellent value for money.

Our room 416 was not clean. The bathroom was dirty-the walls and door especially. The curtains and chairs in the room were stained and dirty. The walls are paper thin so you could hwar everything and the lifts never worked properly. Not as good as the reviews say.

Took ages to find the hotel as the satnav directs you to the grounds of the General Hospital. Bed was comfortable but that was about it for good points. There was only one thin sheet on the mattress, the room was dated and in much need of a refurbishment. The room was also in need of a decent clean, with bits on the floor, dirt on the windowsill and radiators. The shower pressure was intermittent and you couldn't adjust the shower head - which pointed directly at you, at chest height. Would not bother coming here again.

This hotel was not far from the University of Glasgow which is why we chose it. It is in need of major repairs. The carpet in the rooms is literally coming up off the floor. The beds are old and uncomfortable. The staff simply do not clean, the surfaces are dirty and the bathroom was never cleaned during my stay. There was someone else’s hair on the bathroom floor my entire stay though I did ask for my room to be cleaned. The sheets were never changed. This is a sinking ship. The staff were mostly nice but this is not a nice place to stay. We were there for a conference at the University and made the best of it for 5 days

1st room was so bad I requested a move. Filthy! Pls the curtains were falling down (held up by the open window), wallpaper peeling and bathroom ceilings flaking everywhere. Requested change and staff couldn't be more helpful, second room was acceptable. Had to ask for my vip perk but again staff were great.

The property was in a good location although a bit of a walk to the main shops and cafes in the west end. The room needs some tlc and was not very clean. Toilet had staining and the walls were dirty. The shower was broken and there was no hot water.

At check-in we were assigned a room with torn curtains and a blocked toilet. After reporting this, we were moved to another room next door, but unfortunately the conditions were just as bad – and still not the room standard we had originally booked. The carpet was stained, the window frames showed black mold, the windows were dirty, the furniture was chipped, the mirrors smeared, and the bedding slipped off constantly. There was also a gap of about 2 cm under the door, and even the shower curtain was stained. The staff seemed stressed and not particularly service-oriented. Breakfast was poor – greasy, overly sweet, and of questionable quality. The cold counter for yogurt, cheese, butter and fruit had no lighting, and several items already tasted spoiled. We asked to cancel the second breakfast but were refused. We were relieved not to have suffered food poisoning and even more relieved to check out of this hotel. This so-called three-star property is overpriced, does not deliver the promised standard, and is not recommended at all – especially not for anyone who values cleanliness, style, and proper service.

The room was vey shabby with smelly carpets, temperamental door lock and a creaky bed, although the bedlinen was clean. No aircon and the window only opened about 5 inches despite the temperature being in the high 20’s. Breakfast cost £16pp for a very basic offering. Very disappointing all round - will avoid in future.

Stayed at this property before and was given a room next to the lift which was extremely noisy. Mentioned this at check in and was assured we had a different room. Room was clean but small. However it was particularly warm even though the temperatures were fairly average for august, dread to think what it would be like during a heatwave. The window only opened slightly and if the blackout curtains were closed no fresh air got through anyway. A fan was provided but with only plugs near the tv this meant it was a fair way from the bed making sleeping uncomfortable. Onto the plugs issue.. the hotel hairdryer is wired in through a desk draw with minimal cable. This meant there was no way to see in either the room mirror or the bathroom mirror, whilst using. I had taken my own hairdryer but the problem was still bad due to the lack of electric outlets. Overall although the room was clean it was very small and needs aircon or further plug sockets for use of provided fans.

Hotel is a little “tired,” doesn’t look nearly as nice in person as it does in pictures. Bathroom very tiny, not much room for stuff except a 2-inch shelf, no plugs near the bed. The staff really are the star of the Leonardo West End – so warm and helpful throughout our stay. We’d originally booked a double and single, but the first room we got was definitely not at its best (looked like the hoover had skipped it). To be fair, they moved us straight away and the second room was miles better. The room itself was fine for a base but definitely showing its age – quite outdated and a bit dusty if you looked in the corners. The bathroom was mid at best: no ventilation so it got stuffy fast, which didn’t help the overall tired feel of the place. We’d also asked for a baby cot – they did provide one, but the base was wrong so our little one bunked in with us for most of the trip. Not a disaster, but if you’re travelling with a baby I’d say bring your own just in case. Breakfast though? Absolutely spot on – loads of choice, solid 10/10. We had dinner in the restaurant one night too; food was lovely, but the bill felt a little steep for what it was. Location-wise, plenty of parking and the bus stop across the road makes it really handy for nipping into the city centre. All in all, I’d call it an above-average stay – brilliant staff, great breakfast, but the rooms themselves could do with some TLC.

The hotel was convenient for visiting the hospital next door and it was generally relatively clean. The bed was comfortable but the room was a bit noisy as I had to leave the window open because of the heat. I was disappointed with the service at dinner on Tuesday night. The staff seemed very disorganised and I had to wait for half an hour just to have my order taken.it was another half hour or so before receiving my meal and I wasn’t keen on the lasagne but that is just personal taste. I was also disappointed at breakfast as the toaster wasn’t working and the coffee machine broke down so I had to go to my room for a cup of tea. It might be an idea to consider having more than one toaster and coffee machine to cope with the number of guests and any malfunctions. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful, but I think some of the waiting staff may need some additional training in customer service. They seemed willing and pleasant but unsure of how to do their job.

Started badly as showed reception guy that I was platinum who said bookings/hotel.com hadn’t informed them. No upgrade, voucher for drinks etc at the bar or anything offered or given ( most places give you something ) had to pay for parking too which when I asked the other receptionist about platinum she did tell thr guy don’t charge but sadly he had already taken money from credit card . Not sure if anyone here or from there will refund this . Room was very dated, work carpet in parts , rusty light rims , very cheap watery shower gel, dirty bathroom wall , no grout in floor tiles which were dirty , blocked filthy xpelair fan , cracked / peeling paint on bathroom ceiling . Stayed in their sister hotel in cc and 10 times better , cleaner , modern etc .

Location is wonderful. Close to Hyndland station, plenty cafes on Hyndland Road near by, little M&S in front of the hotel. Hotel stands in the Gartnavel Hospital ground but the hospital ground is great with many walking paths and green space. Car park is large enough, staff attaitive. Downside is the hotel is slightly old, the corridor flooring makes noise, bathroom fitting little tired looking. But everything else is comfortable enough.

Finding the hotel was a bit of a challenge; a few roads were closed which didn’t show up on our map. When we finally arrived check in was very smooth. The room was a little dated but otherwise fine. The beds/bedding were extremely comfortable. The room was a little warm and the only way to cool down was to open a noisy window. Mind that there is a sort of pond near by and birds LOVE to make noise in the early morning. The breakfast was hot, fresh and delicious with a good variety of items.

I've stayed here many times over the years and its a decent enough hotel. Rooms are a little dated but fit for purpose. Location is great for Glasgow west end. Staff are great and breakfast is decent enough also. Large car park but might be chargeable. Havent ate there often but its pretty expensive from what I can remember.

The room in the hotel was not cleaned before we went in. There was rice and dirt on the carpet. The breakfast wasn’t good. We went down at 8 most mornings and what was left of the scrambled eggs was dry and unappetising the fried eggs were all gone as was the orange juice and it wasn’t replenished. There was no water to drink either for £13 each per night it wasn’t acceptable.

A bit dated, both outside and in. Windows were filthy, showers were ice cold, breakfast was quite poor - not much choice and stocks were not replenished so we went hungry. Definitely won't stay again!

Staff friendly mentioned you need to order quick as last food order 8.30 and then had to go and ask for my second course whilst staff looked the other way. Porridge for breakfast was the same having to chase them up whilst people played on their phones. Bedroom looked like it was 10 years old, no USB’s near bed or plug.

I recently stayed at a 2 star travel lodge and the conditions were actually better than Leonardo's. The rooms were ok, but very tired and dated. Just felt old and in need of some paint and new carpets. Lots of marks on walls. The location for us was excellent for our needs and for this reason alone we'd stay again. Breakfast was not worth the money and I wouldn't pay for this again. We were a little cheaper because we pre booked but it's £16 if you don't. Continental choice was really poor. Barely anything there. Worse thing was asking for vegetarian sausages and waiting so long I had to ask where they were. I can only say they were disgusting and I think it's the bizarre way they were cooked! One side was burnt and they looked microwaved or something too. One taste and I'm afraid to say I actually had to spit it out. I'd waited so long that I wasn't hungry anyway and just left. Downstairs lobby and bar looked nice but I don't think it's value for money.

Very overpriced for a 3 star rating. Having to pay £5 per day for carpark hotel guests was a bit too excessive. The food was very limited and also overpriced and what was on the menu had all run out.

At check-in we were assigned a room with torn curtains and a blocked toilet. After reporting this, we were moved to another room next door, but unfortunately the conditions were just as bad – and still not the room standard we had originally booked. The carpet was stained, the window frames showed black mold, the windows were dirty, the furniture was chipped, the mirrors smeared, and the bedding slipped off constantly. There was also a gap of about 2 cm under the door, and even the shower curtain was stained. The staff seemed stressed and not particularly service-oriented. Breakfast was poor – greasy, overly sweet, and of questionable quality. The cold counter for yogurt, cheese, butter and fruit had no lighting, and several items already tasted spoiled. We asked to cancel the second breakfast but were refused. We were relieved not to have suffered food poisoning and even more relieved to check out of this hotel. This so-called three-star property is overpriced, does not deliver the promised standard, and is not recommended at all – especially not for anyone who values cleanliness, style, and proper service.

The waiter who served our table did not seem to know very much about his job as he could not answer our questions and had to go and ask someone else, trying to get access to our room was also difficult for us and a few others as the room doorlocks seemed faulty. as for the rest it was running normally and was a pleasant stay.
