The Ned

I liked the fantastic atmosphere of the lobby and the London-style space and details. It is overwhelmed by the excellent atmosphere, sense of space, F&B restaurants and the best GYM facility I have ever experienced.

Beautiful hotel with 1920s decor and very kind and helpful staff. Plenty of dining options and the spa was wonderful. The only issue I have is parking was extremely inconvenient and stressful for guests. I had to park my car in a lot 10 minutes away. Otherwise wonderful experience.

Interiors are beautiful, staff are welcoming, and restaurant food good to (great dining choices!). Spa impressive as well as their pool! Not teenage friendly unfortunately, so for all the reasons I chose this hotel to have quality alone time with my son (15 years old), he couldn't workout with me, use the spa, or even have a massage! He was only allowed to use the outdoor deck pool with the toddlers between 7am and 10am. Oddly enough, I was not allowed to join him swimming as it was for children only! Further more the roof terrace pool and restaurant is not accessible unless you are a Ned member (again wish I had known this. My Soho House membership wasn't accepted. Bedroom was clean, nice amenities, good cosy bed and linen to! Our room was a strange shape - being triangular on one side, with the windows having a gloomy view into another wall a few feet across. We have stayed at other amazing hotels in central London with no hassles using their pool, spa or gym (and staff even being felixible above and beyond). Hopefully The Ned will evolve a bit here.

The Ned is a lovely hotel with a wonderful, festive environment. Our only complaint was that guests had to pay to use the spa/pool. I don’t get that.

Great property. Unfortunately lobby is a party place for all London, where even hotel guests are treated as cattle. Difficult to find a table to have lunch or breakfast at hotel restaurant. I was denied entrance to hotel through main door during a lobby event and was manhandled by doorman. I tried to use the pool and it was impossible to find a chair - the place was packed; impossible to relax. To summarize: an expensive 5-star facility that is managed as a mass-tourism one-star.

Another great stay at the Ned, so many bars & restaurants to choose from great atmosphere. Only negative is the hotel guests no preferential access to bars so can be disappointing when busy. For the price one of best in London.

Charging for gym when paying £800 per night is outrageous. The employees seemed to take pride in telling me where we couldn’t go… as members only….!!! On the Sunday evening there was only the main bar with loud music playing. No where to chill or relax and prepare for Monday…. I get it it is the Ned and this is part of the appeal, but to not have any other quieter areas was very disappointing. The whole membership thing is a massive put off and we will never stay here again

The doorman greeted us and was really helpful, told us all about the place and where to find everything which was great, difficult to hear him as a band was playing and it was packed. As a resident there was nowhere for us to sit which is strange and far from ideal, surely guests of the hotel should have somewhere to sit?!? Very difficult to find the room, directions very poor and no staff at all to ask for directions. The room was nice, bed was pretty small but reasonably comfortable. Lots of drinks available in the room, but no price lists whatsoever, please be careful as once we managed to find the routes we were glad we didn’t touch them! Location is good, tube stations around the corner, difficult to get taxis though so you need to walk away from the hotel due to car restrictions. We only ate for breakfast, which was nice, and reasonably priced. Not sure this is worthy of the 5 star rating, no turn down service, facilities run down and in need of updating, but a good location for a weekend away

The building, the decor, the ambiance, the staff were all so polite and friendly and super helpful and efficient, the food, the cocktails (very strong!), the room was spacious and beautifully decorated and filled with everything you could possibly need during your stay…bed and bedding very comfortable, the bars (The Vault Bar is amazing)!! The cleanlines of the hotel is second to none…..the only negative thing is I didn’t get time to use the Spa facilities and pool so I guess I’ll just have to go back another time!

Welcome at Reception was cool. Corridors were dark and dingy with signage to rooms being difficult to read. No information in the room regarding the operation of the aircon. No information in the room or minibar regarding cost of items laid out - was provided on a page on the TV but someone might not turn that on and so suffer unexpected charges. Tube trains could be heard running under the hotel until gone midnight and then woke at 6 a.m. and could hear them going again so couldn't get back to sleep. Basically a disappointing stay.

The hotel is in a beautiful building, and the rooms are well-designed, with many thoughtful touches such as the elegant tea service and cocktail bar. It was a pleasure to stay here, particularly as the staff: door men and the lady who cleaned my room, were so nice. I would have liked to have had a bath, and I was surprised to see (optional) additional charges on the bill. These were things to mention at check-in, I think.

Lovely comfortable clean room , fantastic selection of restaurants and bars inside the hotel itself and a lovely vibe in evening in hotel . Food & service was lovely at the Italian restaurant too . Probably my worst hotel stay ever. Room was dirty. Front desk incredibly rude. VIP benefits not recognised whatsoever, despite there being plenty of availability for the upgrade I’m entitled to. I’m also entitled to a bottle of wine, which was an incredible hassle to obtain. To add insult to injury they were very keen to get me to pay for a special transportation service, and they added a service charge onto my bill without asking, and then told me it was a tip, for the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I’m now having to work with my bank to unwind the charge, as this hotel never does anything it promises. I appreciate the location is iconic but please think twice if you want to request anything at this hotel whatsoever, because they are not interested in helping you. The room itself was one of the most basic I’ve ever stayed in, it was noisy and there were cobwebs over the plug socket. The manager did offer to help this morning, then promptly said I didn’t have any upgrade entitlement, so I had to send a screenshot to prove, as if I make things up. They promised me an upgrade next time, but as I’m entitled to that anyway, they’re not actually promising anything, and that’s subject to their availability/discretion. Please please save your money and avoid this weird place

From the moment we arrived, staff very extremely helpful and welcoming. I was travelling with my six year old for a bank holiday weekend. The hotel had good amenities for kids and we were able to use the roof top club pool between 7am and 10am. It was smashing with views over to the Shard, the Walkie Talkie, Gherkin, St Paul's. A great way to start the day. Well placed for a number of rail/tube and bus routes so felt it was easy to get around and see a number of sights. The area is very interesting being next to the BOE but it is quiet at weekends so you have to venture further if you want coffee shops, some restaurants at the weekend. There was live music on all the nights we were there and there was a lovely atmosphere. The super doormen helped us fund our way to the right tube entrance while there was a half marathon ongoing. We ate in the Electric Grill one night. Good "diner" style casual food. I thought that the cocktail list could have been more extensive as it seemed quite restricted and the server didn't seem too sure about what else was on offer - good bar tenders will normslly make up other cocktails and it would have been nice to have had the offer. We had a cosy room - it was pretty spacious and eell stocked with amenities. Great shower room with lovely products The cleaning service was great and the room and bathroom was immaculate.

This hotel is the BEST. From arrival to check out we had the best stay. The rooms are immaculate clean with lots of little extras (and this was a basic room) the atmosphere in the bar and dining areas is a vibe and the food was brilliant. I’m hard to please so it must be good!!! Can’t wait til we return to The Ned

We had a great stay at the Ned! The room was clean and quiet. The daily entertainment was excellent and the staff were very attentive. There are a variety of restaurants and bars on the property, which we loved. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful hotel, well maintained and clean throughout, with comfy beds & lovely bedding. Friendly helpful staff. Great food in the restaurants. Spa is lovely but we were there on a Saturday and it was busy meaning getting a bed to relax on in-between the sauna/pool/steam room was impossible as just like a holiday abroad people reserve them with their towels whilst using something else, took the shine off that experience. Aside from the Spa, I would recommend this hotel and would return.

Very expensive, booked a room with a kingsize bed at extra cost, bed was small double. Room had lovely big windows looking out to a brick wall a foot away, could just about see daylight at the top. Disappointing.

Beautiful hotel, restaurants really great quality. At a weekend nothing really going on for a leisure trip. You are really half an hour away from anything. Rooms are very small, I was sharing with my daughter and ended up booking a second room. Staff are polite. Lady today in the spa was lovely. Spa is relaxing. Jazz singers in the atrium are brilliant.

Fantastic hotel. Wonderful staff. Restaurant choice and quality first class. Ambience of the main ground floor is superb. Bedroom good size, but a little tired.

Stayed in room 162. Avoid at all costs. Doors slamming next to us all night, its right above the services bay, bin lorries, deliveries all night, and i mean all night. No let up. Never got any sleep, left the hotel at 7am. Certainly not worth £380 and won't be staying again.

Generally a good stay. We didn't get offered an upgrade (despite it being a Platinum member stated benefit and despite there being availability) but we did get the bottle of wine. The Cosy Rooms are OK but not exactly luxurious with a king size bed and not a lot of room for much else. I've had much better rooms in previous stays and I probably won't stay in a Cosy again. There were problems our room (210) had no view whatsoever as the windows were covered in an opaque glass film. So it felt a little like we were in a cave. Also it was close to the lift, so all night long we'd be woken by lift users. Next door (212) decided to have a party, and that went on until 5am. So - avoid 210. Other than that - the bar area downstairs is very impressive but a little less impressive at Christmas with its more eclectic crowd. We dined in the Italian restaurant so we could watch the band - the food and band were delightful.

Friendly and attentive staff

The hotel is beautiful and the staff were very nice. The negative that we experienced was our initial room was very dark with just a small window. Considering what you pay for the room, this was unacceptable to us. We did get a change of room but they were unable to accommodate until our second night due to high occupancy. The agreement was the next day it would happen when we were out and our luggage would be transferred. When we arrived back late the following evening, although we had been allotted another room, our baggage had not been transferred as agreed despite it being packed up ready to go. Both times we spoke to the front desk they were polite and responsive.

This a beautiful hotel with a fin atmosphere. The staff in the past have been bery friendly. On this occasion, they were less than accomodating. Check in was unfriendly and unhelpful. The concierge was unhelpful. Room was not ready. Grand Heritage rooms are relatively small and overpriced. Room service was slow. One simply gets a sense of neglect. Disappointing for someone who has been a fan of this hotel for years. At this point, there are much better options in London. So sad.

What an amazing stay! In a city that is flooded with hotels, The Ned really is something special. The room was beautiful and the service was impeccable. It was a special birthday stay and we were surprised with cake and treats! Everything about our stay was fantastic and we will definitely be staying again!

Beautiful Hotel buzzing atmosphere , however had an awful check in experience where they were trying to charge us for 2 rooms regardless of me showing them my 1 booking , exceptionally badly dealt with and tainted our stay

I would liketo commend our concierge Axel Cousin for a job well done. We put our trip to London in his hands and he did a magnificent job. Thank you Axel for making our trip the best it could have been.

Faultless service, well stocked room and very comfortable. Right next to Bank tube station so easy to get around.

Beautiful hotel with great amenities. Spa and pool are lovely, and it’s convenient to have so many restaurants in the lobby. Staff at times can be a bit dismissive and uppity, but most are nice. Keep in mind since it’s a members club too, so it is especially crowded on Thursday and Friday. I will say the neighborhood is nice but it isn’t charming as it is surrounding by banking and business buildings, so if you’re someone who loves a local cafe and shopping, I would recommend looking elsewhere and maybe getting a drink at the Ned. Lobby has great jazz and entertainment. Overall good experience.

Great choice of restaurants, great atmosphere, attentive staff and excellent breakfast, rooms were well equipped, comfortable and spacious , up near the city so a little away from the theatres etc, but we will be going back, lovely hotel!

My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here. From the moment we entered the building until the moment we checked out, our stay was magnificent! An experience which will remain with us both. We will absolutely return, even if only for the day, to experience the feast! An indulgence of exquisite cuisine. First time staying at The Ned and what a delightful hotel. Made even better by the upgrade to a suite! Love the spa and restaurants and overall vibe of the hotel. Staff were excellent too. Slight downside is the service wasn't the best at dinner.

A super luxe stay at the Ned for my husbands birthday - everything was perfect! The selection of restaurants is amazing and the entertainment was great. Would highly recommend
