Loved the resort and location and amenities. Perfect for families. Started off by getting the wrong room. Showed them the receipt that showed i paid for a river view and they moved us. It was storming our first 2 days there. Loved the fact the whole resort is accessible through tunnels so we were able to walk to the indoor Waterpark without stepping outside in the storm. The indoor Waterpark was big and my girls had a blast. Our first night there there were some wild wrestling kids on our floor and they got the Waterpark shut down early and they pulled the fire alarm twice but the resort staff handled everything right away and we were able to get a peaceful night's sleep. Didn't like the fact that hours for anything aren't listed anywhere. Not a single employee seemed to know where or how to order Luigi's pizza. Just kept saying to dial the extension. But when you dial the extension it goes to a voice mail that no one checks. So needless to say we never got to eat that. The chicken strips in the snack bar were really good. Idk if Margaritas bar and cantina actually had food or not. No menus or hours listed anywhere. Overall it was a really nice place to stay. Just had a few things that were annoying.

The only complaint is that of the water park hours. The closing time of 7pm seems way too early. At least the indoor part should remain open longer. The kids aren't ready for bed yet! It's vacation! Also the outlet by the sink was completely broken. I was unable to use the curling wand or blow-dryer in front of the mirror. Other than that, the kids had a great time, which is what matters.

The rooms are very nice. The waterpark is pretty dated and looks dirty. Parking is an absolute pain in the butt. If you're staying in a room you should get first dibs over people just visiting.

We have to been to Chula Vista multiple times and always have a great time. Our most recent visit was this winter and the only thing I wish, was If the water park was in the same building so we wouldn’t have to go out in the cold but other than that, everything was great! My kids love it.

Chula Vista was the absolute worst water park so called resort I have ever been to. My daughter tried to use the whirlpool in the room and she turned on the jets and it spewed out what looked to be vomit. Utterly disgusting. The room itself was dirty and infested with lady bugs, the parking lot had huge raccoons in the trash whom chased me from my car since there wasn’t any parking. The manager and staff did nothing to address my concerns in fact they completely ignored my call about the whirlpool since it was close to the time for them to leave. Completely unacceptable and I h would highly recommend for everyone to avoid this place at all cost.

I was here 10 yrs ago and i was amazed by the entire hotel on cleanliness! The room we stayed at had hair in the bedsheets and pillows, mold in the bathroom ceiling, the carpet had sticky stains on it, and a 24” tv that did not work! I think this place should undergo a major renovation or a major deep clean at least. I would not stay here again, the price was not worth what we got.

We really had a great time and enjoyed the waterpark and resort, however, the hotel/room was disappointing. The toilet worked every other flush, the sprinkler system was hanging out of the wall (as well as many other small maintenance items needing attention in the room and the hotel in general), and worst, there was black mold all over the bottom of the tub’s drain stopper. We opted not to bathe our small children in the tub after finding that. I don’t think we’d stay at the hotel again but the waterpark had great WARM water and was a ton of fun and all of the staff was kind and pleasant.

There was no ice machine, the toilet was so hard to flush and when it did it splashed out at you. Lotion dispenser was completely pulled out. Place was not cleaned very good.

The room was so big and comfortable! Very nice kitchen, all the kitchen utensils that you will need Nice size refrigerator, Only thing my kids complained about was the Tv. You can’t access any streaming services from their devices (ie can’t log into any of your personal accounts from their television) then then that great room love it!!!

The bed was firm but the pillows were small for the bed size. Hole in bathtub and bugs in ear balcony entry. Low water pressure in shower and cheap shower head. Juvenile size water closet. Old furniture - cheap fold out couch looked like cushions were too small and was uncomfortable. Parking was sufficient. Kitchen was okay and sufficient. Water park was good for kids but to many stairs to for older kids and adults to use the larger water slides. Water park was not available for two full days but only part of the time but still paid the same resort fee.

We stayed at the Chula Vista many years ago and I remember being impressed with the size of the rooms. My family values space, so we appreciated that, but the property (specifically the rooms) really haven’t been maintained, lots of chips in the walls and furniture and not nearly enough towels even to dry hands. There was also a hair tie in a bedroom that didn’t belong to us.

The balcony door did not lock. After sending the repair man who had to completely flip the lock because it was upside down you were still able to pull hard on the sliding door for it to open right up. Very unsafe. Only stayed 1 night.

I have been coming to Chula Vista for many years and have watched the service get a little worse every visit. Furniture is very worn couch was peeling fabric from the arms. We were placed in the far north building away from everything. Rest of resort was nowhere near capacity. When I complained I was told that it was because I booked through a third party (hotels.com). There was also active construction going on and had to avoid plywood, ladders, tools etc on the only sidewalk available for leaving the building. To top it off I was told that there would be no housekeeping. Didn’t even empty the trash. This was an annual trip to take the grandkids to the water park. This didn’t ruin our trip but wife has limited mobility and walking up the long hill to the indoor park and pools was very difficult and painful.

When we first arrived, we asked if the hotel room (loft) that we reserved was handicap (meaning Wheelchair) accessible, they yes, it is but when we got to our room, we found out that the bathroom was yes handicap accessible but not wheelchair accessible. Went outside the room and by chance there was a worker there, told them of our situation and he made a call to someone at the front desk and explained our situation. We received a phone call from the front desk stating that they would upgrade us to fit our needs. (I was expecting with this wonderful upgrade there would have been some kind of up charge) NOT at all. They upgraded us to a condo where we had more than enough room!!! Along with our stay the staff there were very helpful! We will definitely be back.

Check in was horrible. The lady who checked me in was rude and incompetent. She was horribly rude and nasty. I had two reservations and i wanted her to cancel one and complete the other one. She was horribly confused and unwilling to cooperate. I asked to speak to a manager and she had the audacity to say why?? She is just going to say the same thing. Well, the manager did not say the same thing. She canceled the second result right away. When i finally got my room, the keys did not work!! We had to travel to the hotel side from the condo side. Once we finally got into the room, we were missing an actual bed!! An actual bed. The front desk set the tone for the whole visit.

Check in progress was excellent, staff was friendly and helpful. We checked in around 9pm in the condo building, they are very short on luggage carts, had to roam half of the building on 3 different levels to find a luggage cart, this should improve since these condos have a full kitchen. Most people ive seen had at least 1 large size cooler with them. Finally found a cart that had 1 wheel flat, but we searched enough so that will do. We got to our unit, the hallways and the unit are very clean and well maintained. We were very excited to use the in unit jacuzzi, so straight away we started filling it with water, to notice that the water is luke warm (maybe around 90-95F). We thought they had some sort of scald protection device. Only to notice the next morning that the water came very hot from the same faucet as we filled the tub again, so putting in conclusion that they ran out of hot water that night. The beds need updating as they are very squeaky, every small move in the bed results in bad squeaking. Other than the hot water issue and bed the units were excellent and clean. Water was park nice and well maintained and staff was friendly.

This was not a perfect stay but the friendliness of the staff made all the difference. The cons - odd bathroom where the door got stuck on the toilet, and no fan. With wet chlorine swimsuits it made for a bad smelling room. The Wave pool was broken. The pond around the mini golf was drained. The staff however was really great, from the restaurants, to the water park, to the hotel staff. We felt really welcome and taken care of making the cons I mentioned seem insignificant. Cheers!

We checked in late since it was a 3 hour drive for us, went to one Building and it said closed! Yes I freaked out a little bit but found the right building to check in! The staff that night was very nice! Checked in, all good. Get to the room and it wasn’t the greatest. There were cob webs, the walls were dirty and we were killing bugs all night just flying around and the ac had dead bugs inside the guard, cover and The sink was clogged with some sort of food. BUT the sheets were clean! The bed was comfy! (Except Do not use the pull out bed couch-very very thin Mat. Not ideal for sleeping) The park it self was great! Inside and out! Not busy at all, it wasn’t to crowded which was amazing! Although the lifeguards can be a little more chipper haha it was great just floating in the lazy river! The water was also perfection! The arcade was a good time! The food although good it was very spendy. No complimentary breakfast which was a down fall to the place but overall will go again for sure!!

Upon check in, I was charged the full amount of the stay even though I had paid partial (to Expedia) at booking. I explained this to the front desk and the person asked for proof. I pulled up my full receipt from Expedia showing the amount I had already paid from Expedia and she said that wasn’t good enough and said sometimes “that just happens”. I asked to speak to a manager and she said there was no one to speak to. Ended up paying in full plus the $200 I had paid at booking because I couldn’t turn around and disappoint my young kids. Additionally, we paid for a cleaning fee yet we were informed there was no housekeeping services during our stay. We had to leave our garbage outside and no one came to even grab that after leaving it outside for 48 hours. We stayed in a 2 Queen villa, golf view which seemed to be lacking some amenities. There were no sheets for the pull out couch. The toaster was broken. There were no fitted sheets on the beds so woke up on the mattress protector both mornings. No lotion or conditioner. We could not use the patio due to birds being everywhere and bird poop piled up right by our door and all around the patio area. For what we paid (and the extra $200 !!!) I did not feel it was worth it. My kids loved the waterparks and I would like to take them back but at this point I’m not sure we would return.

The vacation was nice and we had a quiet stay. The breakfasts options were too expensive on sight, and the resort was a drive away from downtown. The lifeguards were nice and friendly, and the staff was accommodating. The waterpark looked as though it could use some renovations-everything seemed old, faded, stained, and dull. The pool water was clean and refreshing.

Good: park was empty so we had the whole place to ourselves. Staff was friendly but very judgmental, ie if you don’t know the proper procedure for using a double tube. Cons: it’s far from the dells, like 15-20 minutes to anything worth seeing. Staff seemed mostly Immigrants, had a hard time communicating with the staff due to their ESL. Overall, you get what you pay for. Good for a quick/cheap trip for a larger group but you better just cook/stay there and not travel into town much.

Most spectacular resort i have ever stayed at. Loved the trails that winded to new surprises around each corner. Spa is awsome for a treatment or a day pass. Worst part was bad food and service sub par at wigwam bar, but for bar with music a true 3 star. Some staff good some staff very poor. Looking forward coming back to enjoy the pool witch was one thing i was looking forward to enjoy.

Excellent place we will visit it again very soon, the only thing I see inconvenient are the prices of meals and buffets for children example my daughters who do not eat anything, I think we have spent a lot of money on food, the children should eat for free at least at the buffet

The hotel staff was very accommodating and the staff at the restaurant and bar located in the building near registration were very nice. Also, DONT MISS OUT on the breakfast buffet.

Our stay was good! I would recommend dining outside of the resort for better value. Breakfast buffet was good though. Better options outside of the resort for dinner. Villa was spacious. Was disappointed for not having a full fridge as pictured in the room pictures. Otherwise it was a comfortable room.

Great family friendly resort. Excellent for multigenerational trip. Changing rooms need some updating, some of the indoor water park slides need updating. Great value even with some parts closed. Buffet breakfast was excellent quality, price and selection.
