Convenient hotel for an overnight stay. The rooms are very small and the amenities are basic, but it's clean, safe and right near the station, all for a good price. The front desk is operated 24 hours with polite, helpful staff. You can request things such as a hairdryer, however they are in high demand and there are not always enough to go around – so you may have to ask again in the morning. The bathroom in our double-bed room was not very private – glass doors with no locks – so bear that in mind depending on who you're sharing a room with. I was with my partner, so it wasn't an issue. We extra paid for a room with a window, but this isn't really necessary considering the hotel isn't particularly tall, so there isn't much to see. Walls are quite thin and you can sometimes hear other guests and sounds from outside. There's a vending machine with snacks and a coffee machine (all drinks £2), but for breakfast I'd recommend Cherry Red's across the road. There are some nice Asian restaurants around for dinner, too. You get what you pay for, and this is an average albeit suitable hotel for the price. Recommended if you're in Birmingham overnight for a concert.

Cheap and cheerful. You get what you pay for. We had a doublele en-suite room with no window. It was rather warm in the room, There was AC, which was noisy so didn’t use. Didn’t report to reception, so my fault. I’d stay here again, regardless of this, as was well priced and convenient to where we were.

It was convenient and had great access to both parking and public trasnport. There were also great options of tasty delicacies nearby. However, the place was a bit small which may not be suitable for big families.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, the Bullring and a number of eateries. The room was rather basic and small without a water boiler or a fridge. You need to ask the reception to borrow a hairdryer, and they charge you a small fee for luggage storage. Other than that, it was perfect for my one-night stay.

Let’s start with the good, the staff is truly amazing. Before even arriving to the hotel I couldn’t find the entrance and stopped to ask a lady if she knew where it was, surprisingly it turned out she works at the hotel and insisted on walking me to the door, thank you kindly for this Honey. Once inside I was checked-in and looked after by Violeta, who was extremely helpful and genuinely nice, I want to thank you too. Unfortunately, after a couple of hours I noticed the heating in my room wasn’t working, mind you this is a cold country and we’re in the middle of winter. Violeta did try to help me but unfortunately they didn’t have any extra heaters and I had to make do with 2 extra duvets. It was okay, I managed to warm up, but what a dreadful morning it was when I realised I would have to get off from under the covers in a freezing cold room, it was absolutely horrible. You have great staff and a great location, and I do 100% give a 5 star rating to the staff, but having a freezing cold room is just unacceptable. I do hope you get this sorted out soon for future guests.

The hotel is spotlessly clean which is excellent. If you walk out the side of Grand Central station at the Hill Street exit it is a 4 min walk maximum. The rooms are basic but perfect if you are literally looking for somewhere to sleep. The beds are a small double just about ok for 2 people & the pillows hard. If you just want a place to sleep so you can do some shopping, or go to an event at the Utilia Arena this is ideal. There is a TV on the wall. Toilet & shower we had an accessible room so not sure if others have baths. There was 1 towel for 2 of us but more at reception if you ask. The staff are friendly.

Basic hotel with no facilities located near new street train station. Room was tiny, shower was poor and the sink kept clogging. It was clean. I stayed for 2 nights and there was no room cleaning or towel change. I thought it was expensive for what I got and I wouldn’t stay there again.

Budget hotel, very close to New Street station. Room was small with barely enough room between the foot of the bed and wall. No desk, so not recommended for business clients. Fixed hangers and no storage space. My room was clean but fittings were a bit worn and the toilet seat was broken at the hinge. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. On balance, unlikely to stay at an easyhotel again, but for the cost can't complain that I didn't get what I expected.

The location is great and the front desk were helpful. I parked at the Mailbox which is a very short walk and secure and safe. Public areas were clean and the bed was comfortable but the floor in my room was dirty and the air conditioning wasn't working so it very hot and stuffy. I reported it but was there for one night only.

It was a fine place to stay for a night if you're spending most of the time out, but the room is very small, with just a bed and shower/toilet which is semi transparent for some reason. So if your not at the stage yet just bear that in mind if you get my drift. I wouldn't stay here for longer trips though, just in case I need down time in the room.

Room size was so small my luggage bag could not get past the bed so had to lift over to get to to the little floor space Freezing room, maximum temp 25 still released cold air the entire day. And very thin duvet with no external heater option, had to use additional bath towel as blanket to sleep. No fresh air - as window does not open. No storage cupboards, just two hangers on wall. Bathroom door design allows no privacy within room as has a big gauging hole in the door and on the side of the door facing directly towards the toilet and also has glass parts to the door top and bottom of door. Otherwise, cleanliness was great. Reception staff were helpful. Building felt secure inside.

Great location for Alexandra theatre. Clean. Just a bed, no chair, no drawers, no kettle. I'm 5ft and couldn't reach the blinds on the windows or reach to open the window. Reception was manned all the time and were polite.

Clean, modern, no frills but what you need. Great location. The downside? Although they state they are sound proofed rooms for city location they are not. The noise from the restaurant below could be heard in the room and I was awoken at 3.30am by a delivery van reversing and unloading outside my window.

Have stayed in Easyhotels before and experience has been good for a working until midnight sleep and leave early next morning, service has always been friendly and welcoming. This time check in was fine, room ok until I realised the sink was completely blocked from first turning the tap on and that none of the USBs work. Then I was woken up by the most horrendous noise. On checking out I reported the maintenance issues, not complaining but just pointing them out. Total disinterest. I mentioned the noise, again total disinterest. I suggested what it may have been and what to do to address it, got a shoulder shrug. When you’re tired, it’s not exactly the response you want or expect. If it was a hectic weekend I’d have got it - but it was a Tuesday morning!

Stayed here a few times before and it's very convenient for New Street, the city centre and with secure parking in the nearby Mailbox. It's basic but comfortable bed. The nearby Grand Central Kitchen is great for breakfast!

5 minutes walk from New Street station, tucked behind main shopping area.lots of options for eating & drinking in immediate area, plus a 24 hour convenience store round the corner. Staff extremely welcoming & helpful. Room basic but bed very comfortable & all essentials provided.very good price for such a central location. Symphony Hall an 8 minute walk away.

Very clean. All frills removed which is why it is so inexpensive for a city centre hotel. Be aware some rooms don’t have windows. I now make sure I get a room with a window. There also isn’t a kettle or way to make drinks in your room, but you can buy drinks downstairs. If you only need your hotel to sleep in this is absolutely fine.
