Best Western Plus Ruston Hotel

Upon entry into the room, I could tell no real cleaning had been done. The mirrors were dirty and there were food crumbs on the floor. I had a 5 night stay and my room was never cleaned. They came in to change the trash a couple times. The bed was never made. The sheets were never changed. They ran out of towels. When they were replaced, I was only given 2. I made a complaint to the front desk. There was no follow up. I’d never book here again.

Extremely Disappointing Experience — By Far the Roughest Hotel Stay I’ve Had This was, without a doubt, the roughest hotel experience I have ever had. I arrived in Louisiana early and attempted to check in. When I arrived, there was nobody at the front desk, so I called the number posted on the door. A gentleman answered, and he sounded as though he had been asleep. I asked if an early check-in was possible, and he immediately told me no and said there were no rooms available. I understood and told him that was fine and that I would return the following day since my reservation showed a 3:00 PM check-in time. I returned at 1:57 PM, just over an hour before my scheduled check-in, and the young lady at the front desk told me there were no rooms available. I understood and came back at 2:57 PM, only three minutes before my scheduled check-in time. The same employee again told me there was no room available. Another employee then came over and told me that check-in was actually at 4:00 PM. I pulled up my reservation email to show them that my confirmed check-in time was 3:00 PM. After that, both employees walked away for approximately 15 minutes before finally finding a room for me. The entire check-in process was frustrating and unnecessarily difficult. Unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there. Around the second or third night, I woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom. When I turned on the light, I saw roaches in the room. That was extremely disturbing

Staff and breakfast are great

Take your own pillows cause they limit 1 per person. Also take your own towels as the towels were hand towels for showering. Horrible! Stains on the carpet as well in the room.

We got there a little early and was going to see if there was a chance our room was ready. We get there and they say check in is 3 no big deal but when come back 30 minutes later at 3:00 they say it won’t be until 4 so we find something to do for a hour and come back at 4 and check in. We get to our room and it was HOT. We turn the air on and it will not cool off. Our room was so dirty especially the bathroom. There was hair all over the floor and sink and in the shower. The toilet was also full and not flushed. The staff was so rude and unhelpful. Our room stayed HOT for 2 days until we finally asked a 5th time to please fix it.
