Such a good find in the Georgetown area! Parking is directly across the street and it’s within walking distance from many restaurants, shops, etc. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend. A !

A great location with easy access to southern Georgetown. Our room had a view of the canal and was a very good value for the price. The room was small and furnished with items from IKEA but it was all clean and functional. I also suggest adding a few more hooks and shelves in the bathroom since it's rather tiny. Especially like having access to the fridge, microwave, coffee/tea maker, sink, kitchenware, and storage locker in the basement kitchen. Would be happy to stay here again.

This is a self-checkin stay. You need a code to get into the front door and then your room. I arrived early and was able to store my luggage in a locker. Self-checkin did not work but I called the help number and everything was taken care of. Clean room, nice stay. Loves the location including easy access to a walking path and shopping. I would stay here again!

Very quaint,historic and charming hotel. Great location to walk around and see Georgetown. The check in was easy with the kiosk.There was kitchen downstairs had coffee for the guests ! I just bought my own creamer to keep in the fridge. I would definitely recommend staying here !

The Georgetown House was a wonderful place to stay right in the heart of Georgetown. The check in process was unlike anything else I had done before and it was a little unclear before getting to the property, but it was easy and self explanatory once I arrived. Having access to the shared kitchen was super helpful and much appreciated! I would definitely stay there again.

Parking is prohibitively expensive in this area and very inflexible. No in-out privileges etc. Hotels have a "it\'s your problem" hands off approach. Shameful and very mediocre experience. Also, bathroom smelt so that was also disgusting. Not very happy at all. I left 2 days earlier, despite no refunds.

Clean and nice cozy spot to stay. Room was very clean. Parking is a bit of a nightmare but that’s all of DC really, no dedicated parking. Expect to hunt for meters and garages. Walls are thin, you’ll hear your neighbors and they’ll hear you. Aside from those cons, I didn’t mind it.

Wonderful experience! We loved everything about this old house with modern amenities. Comfortable bed, clean self-service kitchen with microwave/ toaster over/ refrigerator and large storage lockers. Friendly staff. Steps away from Blues Alley Jazz Club.

Only staff on site was a woman washing laundry so no service. Found a roach in the kitchen area. Freezing cold air gushed into our room through the leaky old window. We put pillows in front of the windows but that was not enough to block the drafts. Walls are so thin you can hear everything from the rooms next door and people walking and banging upstairs. We got no sleep and my wife ended up getting sick. worst stay of our trip. No staff so no one cleared the snow from in front of the hotel. Hotel should note that they have no parking and overnight parking is $31.00.

Gorgeous little hotel that overlooks the canal. Very romantic. It even has a little balcony you can sit on and have your morning coffee. Very clean and safe. Georgetown restaurants at the waterfront less than a block away. In the heart of Georgetown where you can shop if needed. Rooms are not gigantic but they are comfortable and modern. Bed and bedsheets are wonderful. Highly recommend.

Our only complaint was the noise level. Could quite a bit from the room above us and we could hear the front door slam every time someone came in or left into the early morning hours. It's an old building so it's nothing the proprietor did wrong. You can avoid the front door thing by not reserving lock 4 or lock 5.

The location was nice, and the room worked out ok. It’s definitely not very sound proof though. I was staying on the bottom floor, and I heard the people above me. They weren’t being excessively loud. It was just normal talking, but I could hear them.

This place is cute and unique with a historical air and modern decor. Bear in mind, however, that it is not a luxury hotel and the prices reflect this. There is mostly no staff on site. We checked in through an outdoor automated kiosk and checked out the same way. If there is an issue you are on your own. The rooms are quite small, although they did a lot with the space they have. I would absolutely NOT recommend this inn to anyone older or with any sort of disability or mobility issues. We stayed in lock 8 which had a very low sloped ceiling, steep stairs, and only one side of the bed was accessible as the other side was against the wall with no room to exit other than to climb off the end or over your partner if you are not alone. The bed was perfectly serviceable but not especially comfortable. Given the price and the charm, it was worth the experience and I might stay there again on my own but my 6’2” husband had trouble and it felt crowded with the two of us. It was clean and safe and quiet and the neighborhood is cute, and there is a pizzeria next door. Just be aware of what you are getting!

Quaint little home turned into various rooms to stay. Small but nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Very convenient to Georgetown shopping and restaurants. No parking and no live person on the property to assist you though. Check-in through a kiosk that was not straight forward.

Check-in is using a kiosk outside the door. It didn’t work. Tried several times and received ‘communication issue.’ I had to go back to my booking to find a phone number to call. Met several other guests that had the same issue. Knowing this was an issue, someone should have been onsite, reached out with further instructions or at least post a phone number at the kiosk. Very disappointing and just unacceptable.

Met several other guests that had the same issue. Knowing this was an issue, someone should have been onsite, reached out with further instructions or at least post a phone number at the kiosk. Very disappointing and just unacceptable.

Gorgeous little hotel that overlooks the canal. Very romantic. It even has a little balcony you can sit on and have your morning coffee. Very clean and safe. Georgetown restaurants at the waterfront less than a block away. In the heart of Georgetown where you can shop if needed. Rooms are not gigantic but they are comfortable and modern. Bed and bedsheets are wonderful. Highly recommend.

This place is so cute! It's in an incredibly convenient and walkable location right in the center of town close to shops and restaurants. We walked everywhere! Our room was really clean and nicely decorated. We felt very safe and loved our stay here!

Very quaint,historic and charming hotel. Great location to walk around and see Georgetown. The check in was easy with the kiosk.There was kitchen downstairs had coffee for the guests ! I just bought my own creamer to keep in the fridge. I would definitely recommend staying here !

My daughter & I spent one night here because we were seeing a show at the Kennedy Center. Great location, walkable, and our room was simple, but clean and had everything you needed for a night's stay! Definitely saving this place for future nights out in DC.

I loved the historical perspective of the property and their modern update. Very small rooms and a bit more noise being next to the restaurant with outdoor seating later in the evening. Amazing location in Georgetown and easy access to trail systems.

A great location with easy access to southern Georgetown. Our room had a view of the canal and was a very good value for the price. The room was small and furnished with items from IKEA but it was all clean and functional. I also suggest adding a few more hooks and shelves in the bathroom since it's rather tiny. Especially like having access to the fridge, microwave, coffee/tea maker, sink, kitchenware, and storage locker in the basement kitchen. Would be happy to stay here again.

It claims to have tea and coffee but there was no tea while I was there. I felt unsafe as a repair man barged into the room at 7:30 in the morning without knocking, stopped only by the safety lock that he was fighting. I told him not to come and he still came into the room as soon as I left for a while. There is no safe in the room. The shower takes ages to warm up and only produces a meager trickle. The bath is disabled. There are unpleasant notices left everywhere about the shower, the entrance door, the noise (as the insulation is very poor both between rooms and with the street), the kitchen, the cleaning… as if keeping up the place is the guests’ responsibility! One of the absolute worst hotels or accommodations of the many I have been to over the years. So bad it should be dropped from Expedia!

The Georgetown House was a wonderful place to stay right in the heart of Georgetown. The check in process was unlike anything else I had done before and it was a little unclear before getting to the property, but it was easy and self explanatory once I arrived. Having access to the shared kitchen was super helpful and much appreciated! I would definitely stay there again.

Simple but really agreeable, quiet and cozy. Only downside was the limitation on early check in, i.e. the room was already clean and ready (as I learned when I called to inquire) but because there is no reception desk but only self check in then I was unable to access the room until 1430. Otherwise it was clean, I loved that they had a proper hairdryer as well a free water, coffee and a cooking and eating area.

Great location but beware this is a “ghost” property with no staff, no amenities. Theres no parking to unload luggage and when arriving you will go to a kiosk to get an entry code to let yourself in. Rooms are fine but this hotel is all about great location!
