The hotel came in clutch when our power went out right before the holidays. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They even hosted a Thanksgiving happy hour when we arrived, which was a really nice touch—I’m sure the other guests traveling appreciated it too. Breakfast was great every morning. My only issue was the pool area: the hallway leading to it was freezing, so going from that straight into a cold pool was rough. Other than that, we had a great stay and my family had a wonderful time.

It was awful. From check in to out. When we got there the room was not as described. They did move us to a different room but after they wanted more money (even tho we paid $222/night and their rate was $189) we forgot our tablet in room 1 to which we were told multiple times they checked but via our tracker knew it was still in there. They finally agreed to let me look and it was exactly where I told them I left it. Our second room, the fridge went out overnight and they made us move rooms instead of just switching fridges. On night 3 power went out (happens I guess) but fire dept had to be called to get people off the elevator which scared my kid. Last night our power went out in half the room and all the front desk said was “ good thing you don’t need lights to sleep. Just close your eyes.” Room wasn’t cleaned at all and had to ask for more towels but didn’t get them because they forgot to put some in the dryer. Not to mention the town in general did not feel safe at all.

I was a bit skeptical when I booked this hotel based on the past reviews, but we had a great stay. Our room was clean as you would expect, plenty of towels and sheets for the pull out bed. Breakfast was served in the morning, nothing fancy but it did the job. The only complaint I have is about the garbage cans outside the front of the hotel - they were overflowing and the trash needed to be taken out. Hotel seemed to be understaffed but overall stay was good. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice staff, great suites, nice pool, sufficient breakfast. Our room was chilly and no toothpaste, but what a great place for our extended family to meet up for the holidays! Everyone was loving the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom rooms. Not complaining, it was great! Loved it! Everyone did! Thank you for the happy memories

Loved the staff and loved our room! It was pretty decent breakfast. Only thing that bothered us was the elevator floors were disgusting and the hallways also needed a serious cleaning. But the rooms seemed clean enough which is the most important! We would come back for the awesome helpful check in staff.

It's a fine hotel for the cost, but they were clearly understaffed. The breakfast room had garbage piling up so badly it was gross, they didn't respond to requests and now I can't even get anybody to answer the phone to get a shirt I left there sent to me. There are two very similar hotels right next to them. I will try those next time to see if they have better service

The property is newer and fairly decent for the price. The location is good. The staff was not attentive. I asked for a few things for the room and was met without help. There was trash in our floor for 3 days out in the hallway by a few different rooms and no one ever came to remove it.

The room wasn’t cleaned properly and the bedding smelled as if someone who was smoking heavy had laid in the bed I had to ask 5 times for new bedding through phone calls and face to face interactions. I finally had to go downstairs and find someone to just hand me new pillow cases, sheets and comforter all of this after I was told someone would come to the room and change the bedding

Such a disappointment. Told staff the air conditioning wasn’t working. Staff said there’s nothing he could do after calling his manager. Told the manager the next morning about the situation and she said he never called her. After the manager found out about the situation, she didn’t do anything to help. So our family of 4 just continued boil in the room after 3 attempts of asking for help. The morning after we even saw some beg bugs on the bed. 😒 Our family always stayed there when we visited Benton Harbor but never again!

The front desk staff were very helpful throughout our stay! They helped us create an IHG membership so we have extra perks for future stays, like early check in and late check out. The facility and room was very clean and the continental breakfast had a ton of options, including to-go food if you needed to hit the road right away. Highly recommend!!

The room was decent. The bed was not well made and there was hair on the floor in the bathroom. However, my biggest complaint was that there was no ironing board. When I called, the desk said they would locate one and send up...didn't come. As I left out that evening, I asked again. I was told that they are first come-first served...and he would try and find me one....no board. The next morning a manager was at the front, I explained my request, told her wha the other person said. She replied "oh he's kind of new" and assured me they would have one put in my room before my return.....no ironing board. I then had to ask one more time with a bit of an attitude because I had to perform and needed to iron, They took one of another room and got me one. Upon ironing my clothes, of course with the cheaper version of the iron that could be bought, the iron left residue all over my white shirt. I even tried to clean it but couldn't. Why doesn't every room have an ironing board? Why did I have to ask 4 times. Why don't they inventory the condition of the amenities provided? When I return to Benton Harbor I will make sure to NOT stay at this hotel.

The hotel room stinks of dog terribly, it's nothing against animals, just the cleaning is terrible and everything smells of dog urine. Also, the air conditioning blew all night as if it were a hair dryer.

We stay here every year on our way to Northern Michigan and the staff are excellent! The rooms are very clean and the bed is incredibly comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling.

We had so much space To stretch out with our dog. Clean and the beds were super soft. We like that we could watch TV in a different room. Breakfast was good. The only thing we didn’t like was walking through 4 smoking people, I think a couple were employees to get in the room.

Squeaky bed really annoyed me, we needed a good nights sleep for a funeral the next morning. During check out the associate didn’t even ask how the stay was average as for customer service. . I asked the associate what the cost of room was and for a receipt and she wouldn’t tell me the total but said she could see it. She stated I’ll get receipt from whoever I booked with. Check in associate was very polite. As for breakfast the associate was very kind and stated they were out of food items which sucked but we ate the little bit that was there.

The room and property is beautiful also it’s really close to a lot of restaurants and very close to st Joesph’s. I love that all the rooms have a full size fridge and a kitchenette which was a life saver for those who have kids. My only complaint was on the day we checked in as soon as I went into our room I saw that the sheets had dirt all over the comforter so when I told the lady at the front desk about she made it seem like there was nothing she can do when i asked politely about getting clean sheets as I just literally checked in 5 minutes earlier with her and she responded that they don’t have any clean sheets and was kind of no help at all luckily the head of housekeeping Ericka made it all right by giving us clean sheets and she was very helpful and nice to me and my family. I would definitely recommend stay bridge in Benton Harbor.

The suite was probably one of the best hotel rooms that we have ever stayed in. There were only two things that weren't great, the comfort of the couch and the tub drained slow. Other than that, I was very pleasantly surprised.

They claim the queen size beds are queen but they are definitely full/double beds. The front desk “manager” was extremely rude and condescending…I know the difference between a queen and a full. The housekeeping manager even said that people always complain about their queen beds not being actuall queens.

Property manager name Shy placed a $250 deposit for checkin without notifying me of the $250 deposit. Every property prior to this one has always made me aware of deposit charged prior to running my card. I travel a lot as a contractor so for me this speaks in volumes.
