Westgate Manor Motel Austintown & Youngstown OHIO

Paid for 2 night stay and room was so fithy shoe marks and hand prints on the walls out shoes stuck to the floor. The white was worn off most of the toilet seat and the shower was full of soap scum. We could only stay a few hours the one night. We couldn't stay another as the owner said he can't do refunds.

I want to start by saying the Owner was VERY nice and he did his best to help with the issues we had from the start. I didnt realize its a smoking Motel. I would never of booked it, that I will take the blame for. The Motel is older and not very appealing. There was only two outlets in the whole room. Owner did get a power strip for us. Floors and surfaces plus bedding was not clean. I always bring my own bedding and pillows regardless. The smell was so bad that I put a wax burner on full blast for the entire stay! Even with that the rental car smelled like smoke from our luggage in it and the company wasn't happy. Thats how strong it was. I ended up with a severe sore throat and my ears were hot and wet. I there was good hot water. The shower we put towels down and wore flip flops to make sure we didnt get anything. I wanted another room at another place but they would not credit us or refund us anything. So we stayed away from very early morning to very late at night. Spending the least amount of time possible there. There was no room to do your hair or makeup. No counters just a solo old ceramic sink on a silver pipe. No outlets no counters nothing! This is a motel thats good for a single traveler on their way somewhere else. The Marijuana smell from rooms was just as bad as the cigarette smell unfortunately. If we didnt have our own bedding and towels then we would of had no choice but to just sleep in the car. The owner had two nice woman who were "cleaning" roaboutd

Clean room, nothing fancy, but perfect for a couple nights of sleep. Air conditioning worked great!
