My room was over sold and not available and I was required to take a smaller room that didn’t really fit my family like the one I had originally reserved in the system. Unfortunately it led to me getting little to no sleep and feeling uncomfortable all night. Elevator door was also fairly aggressive, it would close suddenly and quickly and hit my mother’s arm which has a broken bone in the upper arm, which led to a less than acceptable stay.

This is a clean and nice charming hotel in a nice part of the tourist town with ample dining options nearby. Positives are plenty of parking, spacious rooms, nice free breakfast and one of the negative is just one slow elevator (so people who are less mobile could be stuck in upper floors if something happens to the lone elevator). No alarm clock in rooms and the cable tv menu and remote is too hard to operate

Quick and easy check in process. Room was clean and beds were surprisingly very comfy! Hotel was quiet and well maintained, pool area seemed a bit dated but that didn’t deter my kids from swimming. Breakfast buffet options were good, absolutely loved that they had “to go” bags ready to grab by the breakfast station.

The front staff was friendly, however the maid didn’t leave coffee in my room or make my bed one of the nights (she only took out my trash that day), and the elevator was out of service for two days.

Elevator was out of order and we were staying on the 3rd floor with my 81 year old mother. Another room wasn’t offered and when I asked for sheets for the pull out couch they asked me to come back to get them rather than someone bringing them up.

The room was very clean and comfortable but the best was the complimentary breakfast! It was excellent! Everything was very fresh and delicious and very clean. We also really enjoyed the pool area.

Bathroom and hall floor in room were dirty. Hair in tub along with a dark substance that had been thrown into tub but not rinsed. Holiday Inn used to be our favorite hotel chain but not so much anymore. We rinsed tub out and to clean it out. Didn’t complain since there was nothing they could have done.

Stayed one night for a business trip. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included. Nothing fancy but good. My only minor complaint was that I could hear doors slamming in the hallway. Otherwise, a very good deal for the price.

Booked this room while traveling. Unfortunately, is a little bit further off the highway than we would have hoped. It was a clean room, but the thermostat was not working in the air conditioning went out got one. It was at least 79° in a room or a night and made for an uncomfortable sleeping experience. I mentioned it to the front desk and they said they would tell me that, but that did nothing for us in the middle of the night while we were sweating. in the morning when we opened our door to the hallway, it was about 10° cooler. Had I known this at night I would’ve slept in the hallway. Breakfast was nice and so were the ladies that worked the breakfast.

Excellent stay, wish I could have been there for longer! Minus one star for loud pre-check-out knock followed immediately by the door opening and "Housekeeping!" (I didn't even have a chance to answer.) Thankfully the extra bar was up, so she couldn't enter. If check out is at 11, I'll be there until 10:59. Please don't knock, or come in at 10:40.

Every one was nice and helpful except the guy on night shift. We had a party going on next door, called the front desk,was told he couldn’t do anything about it unless he heard it. There is no way he even got up to listen. My husband finally at 3am went downstairs to try to get him to do something. He did call the room that time and asked them to quiet down. Music was then turned down as well as banging noise from I don’t know what.

My daughter and I had a reservation in South Bend for this same stay and had a horrible experience. The hotel was one of the worst I have experienced. We booked our stay with Holiday Inn Express for the weekend around 8 pm Friday evening and everything went smoothly! The parking lot was well lit, hotel was clean from the entry to our room. Customer service was very friendly. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again
