Cute property on the water. Pool was nice and the waterfront restaurant good ! The steakhouse - not good at all . They didn’t charge us for the meal at least .

Nice stay. Property is undergoing renovations but it doesn’t take away from the enjoyable stay, friendly staff and lakefront views. Convenient and affordable boat rentals too. Will be back!

Great location on the lake, great views. Clean. Friendly. Love the boardwalk bar & grill - good food, live music on weekends. Down to earth atmosphere and friendly people. And "dog friendly". Can rent a pontoon boat at the front desk.We will be back!

This property is unique but does not have an elevator. Since we need a handicapped assessable room we were upgraded to a suite on the first floor. The view of the lake from our room was wonderful. Our room was quiet and clean. The front desk woman was extremely helpful and worked her rear end off since she was the only one there.

The patio area facing the Lake View was very nice and a great place for dinner. Two very good restaurant options, and there are boat rentals on site reasonably priced.The staff was very pleasant and the breakfast was good. The only drawback (minor) is there is no elevator. I was very glad we chose to stay here for our softball tournament vs the hotel across the street!

Material condition of the room we were in was very poor. Wall paper was buckling, shower had holes in the wall. Paint was very poor. The bed was extremely to soft and appeared worn out. The T-Bone restaurant was very good.

Property is fine and the view from our room was also great. Only problem we had was the maid service, which was basically non-existent. Somebody came the first day and emptied the trash, cleaned the coffee pot and refilled our coffee supplies. We were there for 4 days and had to go to the front desk every day after the 1st to get new towels, coffee supplies and TP. Our bed was never made up once.

The property itself is quite nice and all staff was very nice and helpful. Restaurant and bar and grill are very good. Unfortunately our room had several issues. We were over T- bone's. We had a nice lake view, but hallway carpets and the room carpet was terribly dirty and stained. Upholstered chair in our room was also very dirty. We would not sit on it. There was plastic wrappers on floor on one side of the bed that housekeeping didn't pick up. Lastly, I was showering at about 8 pm and the shower had very low water pressure and actually just stopped twice while showering, and when coming back on the water was very cold. This happened to my husband as well later that night. Seemed to work fine in the morning. Just made for a less than desirable experience.

Short review: Nice place for a romantic stay in NW IN Room: Lake View 2nd Floor Suite Good: View, Fire Place, Spa, Big Room, Friendly service, close to lake and Drift on Pine Bad: Stain on comforter, pipes from other rooms very loud in our room, tv has 1/2 of the channels it shows It's a good stay, will probably be better in the summer when there's more to do.

It's a small place and the service staff was attentive, so I'll give them that. But otherwise, the place was defined by carelessness. The remote control in my room was missing. The inside of the cabinet was dusty. But most of all the curtains and blinds in my room just didn't work. When the air conditioner was on ,they blew them up and out so the first floor window was functionally not private. And they did not keep the sun out whatsoever. The room was bright by 6am and I was unable to get a full night's sleep.

We have stayed at The Blue Heron several times. The breakfast is not impressive and the coffee is terrible. When are they going to upgrade to larger TVs? You can hardly see the TV because it is small and mounted up high. The staff is great and the restaurant is very nice with good food, great environment and wonderful staff!

Very nice location - right on the lake. I ordered from the restaurant below - pretty good! Someone left the music from the restaurant on after they closed, which we could hear loudly in our rented room. At 1am I finally went down to get them to turn it off and the desk person acted like that would be a problem. And a simple late checkout would be a problem. Lost a customer.

This is the second time we have stayed here. Again amazing!! The issues we had when we stayed last time had been addressed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Love the fireplace and soaking tub. We will be back again. Only place we stay at when we go to La Porte.

Checking in was awful as they tried to sell us a more expensive room with all kinds of excuses. Fine if you want to upgrade us for free, but don’t start with all the nonsense. The rooms are in need of an update. Would not stay here again.

My wife and I were looking to take advantage of the unseasonably warm Indian summer for an overnight stay when we happened upon the Blue Heron Inn. OH how delightful! Beautiful views of the lake, restaurant on site, helpful staff, and just the hotel itself was old Florida. Great location, balconies, great hot breakfast! Can't wait to stay here again, highly recommend!

This is a lovely location on the shore of Pine Lake. The staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. The room was large and comfortable, though it is showing its age. Parking was easy and convenient, and T-Bones is an excellent restaurant. The Boardwalk is also nice for lakeside bar dining, though the beverage list is limited. It was very nice to sit out on my room's deck and watch the sunset over the lake.

My fiancé and I loved our stay. Mary, the front desk/shift manager, was a delight and so hospitable. The breakfast had plenty of options. We really enjoyed the live music on Saturday while swimming in the heated pool. The accommodation is fairly dated, but the room was clean, and the bed was comfy. We were disappointed we only booked for one night and will definitely be back!

What a cute hotel for our stay. I love the story and enjoyed our time there. The (homemade) breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
