Courtyard by Marriott Toledo North

We liked the hotel and our room but were very disappointed that the indoor pool was 65 degrees and the pool area itself was freezing cold. Traveling as a large group for a competition, we chose this hotel for the pool, despite it being out of the way from our venue and it was unusable.

Chose this hotel because it had a restaurant and bar. Both were closed when we checked in and out. Clerk was on the phone handing a reservation for a very long time when we checked in and never acknowledged us until she was done. No information about the hotel was shared with us. Ladies, beware. The light for the bathroom vanity was so dim it was difficult to see to brush one’s hair, never mind do make up.

I was excited to stay at the hotel because of the pool and they had hot breakfast which was an extra cost of $10 per person. The pool was down for maintenance. Never opened and The bistro was closed during the day and evening and there was nobody there to get anything for breakfast. I was able to get coffee by myself. Very disappointed and paying $40 for breakfast and not being able to get anything. Very upsetting. On the positive note, the rooms were clean and comfortable but definitely priced way too much for what you get

The pool was so cold and the lack of convenience and breakfast stinks.

The work out room was open and under construction. The smell was awful and not able to work out.

The room were nice and clean and we enjoyed the fitness center and pool. Pool smelled like extreme chlorine but it was fun for the kids. It was by alot of food places and stores. We surely would Stay again.

I picked this hotel because it had a pool. However, it was closed the entire time we were there. If the pool is closed in the winter, you should share that at booking time.

Have been staying here when in area for a couple of years now, still one the best places to stay for short vacations or business trips. Very quiet and clean. Great shopping and plenty of restaurants in area. However please bring back the alarm clocks in the rooms and bigger tv . Business center is great.

Very nice room - only complaint was that they advertised food and drink- and it was closed. Very convenient to interstate.

Checking in was poor. They had an issue with key programming that caused guests to return to the front desk because they couldn't access their rooms They needed more staff to avoid long waits due to this but didn't have them. The room smelled of smoke and it seemed like maybe it was the pillows. Also one of the toilet paper roll holders was pulled out of the wall. At 10 PM loud couple arguing in the room next door. Stopped and started again at midnight. Finally had to call the front desk. That worked. They quieted down. All in all I expected better.

Customer service at this hotel was terrible. The bar service at the bistro was a joke. Out of things to make the drinks on their menu. The "bar tender" yelling across the lobby to the Front Desk clerk to ask where things were. Asked the Front Desk for a second packet of coffee for our room so we could both have a cup and were told that they were out of regular coffee. The supply door was left open and we saw a could see 2 large boxes of regular coffee when we passed by. Staff appeared quite lazy and spent must of their time on their cell phones. There was a large stain on the ottoman in our room. Had to cover it with a towel.

Room was clean. Check in was quick. Minus the 150$ deposit i was not told about, it was a good stay.

Across from Meijer which is convenient. Unfortunately, I only seen it was surrounded by food places, but they all have terrible reviews. None above a 2 star. Never thought I needed to check those, but now do. Parking was easy. Asked for room close to pool, making it easier to manage two kids. Got a room down the hall. However, this room must not be used often as it had a mildew smell, spiderwebs in about every corner, baseboards dirty, wallpaper peeling, and chair was stained. Was able to open window to get fresh air in and turn on AC to circulate- but the vents are also covered in dust. Microwave had part where rust was showing. Went to pool and was happy to see towels provided on tables. We knew the pool was small, however, didn’t expect an indoor pool to be so cold! Thankfully the Room showers provide great hot water and pressure. The light in shower showed above dust collect above ceiling, and no vent to get steam out of the room. Decent sized hole by the TP holder. No clothes line in the shower to hang wet swimming suits. Overall, would we come back? No. Did it work for one night, yes. Bedding was clean, and beds comfortable. TV selections lacking. Can’t join internet unless you create an account with hotel brand. No garbage bags in room garages- sucks for whoever has to clean those.

Sheets and blankets were stained. Clear indication on the walls that room wasn't cleaned thoroughly in a while.

The shower was really nice, the room was nice, the smell when we walked in was overpowering musty old.

This property has poor infrastructure and my room’s conditions were very poor. The couch in the room had several massive stains. The walls were heavily marked. There was a hole in the bathroom wall. The toilet was missing pieces. I got little to no sleep. The construction of the floor/ceiling were so poor that I every step from the above room could be heard and came through very loud. The lobby was nice as well as the staff. I would not recommend a stay hear if you care about cleanliness and quietness.

The WiFi was down. Nice hotel. Area questionable. Location convenient was reason for booking.

We appreciated the spacious room, cleanliness, comfortable bed, nice layout, water pressure & temperature in shower was perfect, pretty quiet for a hotel, small but fun pool area, helpful staff, smooth check in & out, lots of food & convenience options nearby.

The HVAC unit was not working. Bed spring or frame was creaky. I would still stay here again

Location was great, accessible and close to wherever we wanted to go. Comfortable beds, large room.

As always, Marriott beds and linens are the most comfortable! The room met our expectations and was very clean and comfortable. Brandon and the other front desk staff were polite and helpful. Amenities were very nice. One significant issue: I was awakened to what I thought was rain pelting the windows. It turned out to be the air conditioner. The noisy, variable constant sound kept me awake off and on all night. I don’t mind white noise, but this was not background noise. This was dried beans in a dryer. This was 40 plastic bags caught in a tree in a windstorm. We have a window air conditioner at home. You know it’s on because you hear the air emitting from it. But it isn’t variable with fluctuations in the sound. It doesn’t draw attention the way this a/c does. I don’t know a solution to this. I do know I won’t be staying here again during the months of a/c use. I wonder what the heat sounds like?

Very slow internet service in our room

Bed sagged to middle and very hard. TV didn’t work. Called desk and another remote enable tv to connect. Supposed to get Netflix but couldn’t. Lids for coffee cups wrong size. Only one decaf and one regular coffee available. For the price paid it was not worth it.

Check in is listed at 3. We were at an event and checked in at 6:30. Our room was not ready. Another family in our party had the same issue. Very disappointing. We were exhausted from our outside event—85° all day and wanted showers and the air conditioning. In the morning there was only ice available on the second floor.

The TV in the room didn’t work, the staffing was inadequate. Poor girl couldn’t answer the phone help customers and Chase issues in the hotel. Finally, the kitchen machinery didn’t work so I couldn’t get anything to eat.

Check in was terrible. Arrived at the hotel to check in a litte afte 6pm. Was told our room would not be ready for another 2 hours. Mind you check out was 11am in the morning. The party we were withs room also was not ready. We were told that there was a staffing shortage. Mind you therr was the championship ARCA race that weekend, which the hotel was aware of ypu think they would have had staff. Absolutely ridiculous. My bathroom door in my room would not close all the way, the room darkening blinds in both room would not close all the way. Poorly managed. They comped us Absolutely nothing for our inconvenience.

I was checked into a dirty room after waiting 2 hrs to be checked in

The lack of personality and friendliness from the staff was disappointing. They don’t smile, or give any details about your stay, they barely speak to you and don’t even try to inform you of the amenities. I didn’t know there was an indoor pool, breakfast, coffee or a bar service. I noticed they had all this after I had to walk around and figure it out myself. Need better customer service skills at the front desk. They certainly had don’t care attitudes and hated their job.

Very comfortable beds, friendly staff. A bit difficult to get to the hotel, and the surrounding area is industrial, but the room was quiet and clean

Hotel was very close to stores and dining options. Very easy on and off from the interstate. I felt safe and it was quiet.

This Courtyard is located conveniently next to I-75

It’s a beautiful property, and beautifully kept inside and outside. Staff was very helpful and gracious in every respect. We would stay there again if headed through Toledo. The surrounding neighborhood is away from the downtown and is pretty much commercial industrial in character, and only 1 mile from the Michigan border.

The room was comfortable and clean but we've never stayed in a motel/hotel that did not offer complimentary coffee in the lobby. We bought their "Starbucks " coffee for $4.25 each, weak and undrinkable.

The hotel was very good. It's been years since i have been to a hotel that does not provide free coffee, and when you wanted to buy one they had 1 staff doing coffee, making breakfast, taking orders and cleaning up. This slowed the process quite a bit. Took almost 20 minutes to even order our breakfast. The rooms were outstanding and very comfortable.

Room was clean, comfortable. Easy access from freeway. However food was over priced. No complimentary coffee in morning. Direct TV not so good and tv remote useless.

The room was excellent. The facilities not so good. Laundry room - the Washing machine had black scum inside it - i needed to clean it before i used it. The drier had lint and hairs within it. The Starbucks arrangement for breakfast is a joke. This is not well communicated. It says on card "one hot entree" but you do not know what is available. The staff was friendly but not very forthcoming or engaging. on first morning i gave up and had a yoghurt, on second morning i tried again but lost the will to persevere -i had a muffin. so dissapointed in the PROCESS.

The staff was difficult to find. Ordered food and the single attendant was nearly an hour for a grilled chicken sandwich and did not fulfill the simple order correctly. Staff would leave bar area while patrons were looking for a drink or food. Not very organized or communicative.

The only good night of sleep was here, it was quiet. The pillows were also good, which was an issue at other hotels. The breakfast was not continental which means it should be good and it sure was. Very tasty, good service for breakfast. The only complaint was the pool was closed for cleaning, which was demoralizing to tired kid.
