Best Western Plus Downtown Inn & Suites

Great location. Had everything we needed. Clean and spacious room, small gym with pelaton, treadmill, stearmaster, and weights. Breakfast was included. Enclosed parking lot with security at night. Front desk staff was friendy and welcoming. Great value!

Great location, the staff was very kind and helpful, parking lot security was present, breakfast was great. My only concern was the misleading “free parking” advertisement. Hotels.com says customers enjoy the “free” parking. However, there is a $20 nightly fee for parking. Whether this policy has been changed or updated, it is misleading for someone who is not expecting to pay an additional $20/day for parking.

Staff was very friendly loved the complementary drink, pool was nice kind of small. Was a little weird that at night. They close the parking lot and you have to enter or exit by talking to a security guard.

Room was clean and well appointed. Swimming pool isn’t heated so it can be chilly depending on the season. There are 3 EV charging stations for use. It can be improved by adding signage so that non-EVs do not park at those lots. Overall, a good hotel to stay at.

We could not be happier with our stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even helped locate a pair of earrings I left behind. The hot tub was amazing and the pool is beautiful. I love the location and that there is security guarding the parking lot. The only thing I would change is possibly requesting a top floor room because there was a lot of noise and squeaking coming from the ceiling that woke us up every morning. Otherwise the hotel is phenomenal. 10/10 recommend!

We returned to stay at the Best Western Plus in Houston. My first stay there several months ago went very well. This stay went equally well and we took advantage of the onsite amenities; pool, breakfast, laundry facilities, and parking. The staff was helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this hotel.

The property was very clean, the staff was very nice. Breakfast was really good. Parking is not included with the hotel, you will have to pay extra for that amenity, but it’s worth it. I would stay here again when visiting Houston in the future.

Guys. We had a cockroach in our room. We captured it alive and had the facility manager come to our room. He did not speak english and laughed about the cucaracha. They moved us to the adjacent room....after i asked to be moved to a sister hotel. When we asked for compensation, they told us that there was no record of this happening. After pushing, they said there was a note and they'd call us back. At the end of the day, they blamed us for bringing a cockroach to their hotel and told us that our threat to leave a bad review didn't scare them. They even said that she didn't think bugs were a good enough reason to even consider a refund especially because we booked through Expedia. I travel often. This is the worst experiance I have ever had with a lodging anywhere in this world. Pay extra to not stay here.

I complained about roaches, they did absolutely nothing to resolve this matter. Also, the TV did not work. Once the roaches came into play, nothing else at the hotel was appealing to me. Thank G-d I only had one night. I had to shake bags and spray, to ensure I didn’t bring any “guest” back with me! The roaches were also ready for me to leave, because they wanted their room back. The people on staff have no idea how to problem solve and the lady at check-in said she had to write my credit card number down, because “the system wasn’t working”. I wish I could rate them -0, but even that’s too generous. As someone who travels a lot for business and pleasure, this is by far the worst experience and I’ve stayed at (what I considered) a haunted hotel in New Orleans.

Conveniently close to downtown but, NOT in downtown. Place is awesome except for pillows. Both my friend and I had trouble sleeping cause the pillows were uncomfy.

You can hear people walk upstairs at midnight. We woke up at 3:30am because people upstairs walked and moved around for almost an hour. After they stopped , we tried to sleep late, they started walking again. Its terrible. When you need to sleep after long hours of driving but you can’t.

I had to spend a night at this place recently while traveling for work. I was very impressed with the friendly, helpful and professional woman who checked me in. The room was a really nice size little suite. Everything was very clean. That's the first thing I require at a hotel (cleanliness). The second thing I really need is a quiet room. This room was both and very comfortable. WiFi was much better than usual at hotels (over 100 mbps both up and down). The breakfast buffet was good too. A nice mix of items that were tasty. They have a coffee bar that open 24/7. Parking is free. Frankly, I'll stay here again because it had everything I like when I stay in a hotel.

Rooms were a little outdated and could use general maintenance but overall hotel was great, breakfast enjoyable, and front desk attendants helpful and friendly

I have always made reservations with Hotels.com and have never had anything close to the nightmare check in I had at this best western .Arrived in the hotel around 4 . Told the girl behind the desk that I had a reservation for Stewart ( already paid for the room when I made reservation) I handed my drivers and a CC for incidents. She asked me who I was there with and I told her my friend .She said that she couldn’t give me my room because the reservation was in my husbands name. I reassured her that I made the reservation as I always do and it was paid for. She picked up the phone and said she’s going to call him with the number on reserve.Problem being that the phone number and email are mine!! She then proceeded to tell me that she had to speak to my husband before she could check me in and I needed to call him to verify .I called him and he didn’t believe what was going on because it was so bizarre but verified that he was my husband and I made the reservation She then proceeded to tell me that she needed the reservation number before she would give me the key. I gave her the number that I had and she finally handed me the key.I failed to mention that she was honestly the rudest front desk employee I have ever dealt with and hope to not experience again. I’m a 54 year old grandmother and was treated like a a 12 year old that needed my parents permission to check into the hotel. The hotel was a pretty nice but the first impression ruined that girls night out.

Not enough characters allowed to explain my horrible experience. Long story short Best Western locked my credit card with failed attempts to approve charges. I booked 2 rooms and called ahead so that they could approve the charges in 1 swipe. They approved the "incidentals" before I even flew in. When i got to the hotel they authorized the 1st room and before the 2nd swipe the staff member stated "it's probably gonna time out". On my end the charge showed pending but she said on her end it didn't go through. The next morning i called my financial institution and they told the staff member either she has to cancel the charge or wait until it is dismissed and reattempt the charge then. For the 1st two days of my 4 day stay i was treated like a tenant who is late with the rent money. This fiasco went on for 6 days. I was back home, monitoring my account, and keeping Best Western informed and their response was "ok we don't want to get the authorities involed" as if I was working a scheme. Fyi no one reserves 2 rooms months in advance, calls ahead to inform you of the 2 reservations being paid under 1 card by 1 person, just to show up and try to get over on you. The towel that i used was tattered and made my face and back break out in hives. Saving grace was i had a good time with my family at the events we attended. 2 things i learned.1 if you make a reservation through hotels.com go ahead and pay through them too. 2 j will not be staying at this Best Western ever again

Good basic hotel. The area immediately around the hotel is a bit derelict, but it’s only a 10 minute walk to the Midtown area with lots of good restaurants.

Staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet had lots of variety. The pool was nice (but still cold in April) and the hot tub fantastic. Our room was very spacious and clean. The street of the hotel doesn't look the nicest, but only a couple of blocks from a nicer area. We got stuck trying to leave one afternoon because a parade nearby blocked off the main street heading towards the highway. It would have been helpful to have had some info posted in the hotel so we could have avoided that, but it is not really the hotel's responsibility. Super happy with our stay here!

It was a great stay!!! The only thing is the night club like a block away...it creates unbearable traffic. Other than that, it was very clean with a very hospital staff. KUDOS!!!

The interior common areas and rooms were fantastic. The bedding and rooms were 5 star level. The service and breakfast exceeded expectations for this price point. Will definitely stay here in future trips.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was clean and comfortable. -Pool & Hot tub 10/10 -breakfast 10/10- great variety of things to choose from. -gym 8/10- there is nothing on the window so ppl just walks by and see you workout. 2 queen bed 10/10- very roomy and clean. Parking- 5/10- there is not many parking spots and the person moving cones to enter and exit at night doesn’t move with purpose. Location- 9/10- I like that is near downtown but not downtown. Overall I loved it and plan on booking there again in the future.
