Great but the pool was not heated as it advertised.

Everything was great. But pool wasnt heated . Very cold and closed on our second day

The staff here are lovely and everything was well run and organized. Easy check in and the room was spotless and updated. Great location, 12 minute walking distance to State Street and right on the beach. Our only issue was the pool pump was broken so the 'heated' pool was not so heated. Frustrating as that's why we picked the hotel and my kids did not swim because of it. But other than that, a great place. We took the train to Santa Barbara and were able to walk to the hotel - we didn't get in a car the whole time we were there. Amazing.

We enjoyed the harbor view room with a balcony. Comfortable and spacious room! Great location to the harbor and warf. We appreciated the permitted parking lot which had an EV charger for our rental car. We would stay here again!

Nice views of the water. Love the charging stations on the property. It was great having my car charged up and ready to go each morning. The charges are so fast that I was able to charge a couple of hours and then move my car closer to my room. Really great amenity.

We were given a room on the third floor and told to take the elevator right outside. We got to the elevator & it had a big sign- Out of Order. It would have been nice if the front desk knew this about the property.

They have electric car chargers

An older property that has been nicely updated; very clean and well decorated. We had looked forward to the heated pool but the heater was out of commission because of the recent rain. The near-by beach was great but also too cold for swiming.

We stayed at the Beachside Inn for New Year’s Eve during our California family road trip up the coast. Great location and very welcoming staff. The Happy Hour complimentary wine and cheese from 4-5 p.m. was a nice treat. Lots to see and do in the area. All amenities, including State Street (closed off for shopping and dining) were within walking distance. Our room was clean and spacious. The only issue was that the pool wasn’t heated, which was a disappointment for our youngest who loves to swim. Overall, would highly recommend!

Everything was Great, Except the carpet was Filthy. Needed to always wear shoes. Other than that we'll be back

It was across the street from the harbour so the location is good but the room was very disappointing. The bathroom was so disgusting that it took away from any other positives. I am not a picky person, I want clean and safe. But the bathtub had large pieces missing from the bottom. It had a yellow ring around it. The drain was black and rusty. The grout was black and dirty. The floor tiles were stained and most were cracked. The rest of the room looked like the site pictures. But the room had a damp feeling to it so all the linens felt wet. The pool was out of service because the heater was broken. From what I have read it has been broken at least a few months. The lobby was clean and breakfast decent. But when I complained about the state of the room they said you booked with Expedia take it up with them. There was no apology. OT an acknowledgement of the state of the bathroom. I would not recommend this place it was a bit of bait and switch.

Room is very nice and clean. Staffs are wonderful, amenities are amazing. We really enjoy their free wine and cheese for Happy Hour. Breakfast was really good.

Staff was friendly. Upon arrival we always check the room before bringing our belongings in. At this hotel the door was ajar. Although the room appeared clean we went back to the front desk told them and requested another room, which they did. Prior to going out I checked the windows and they were all unlocked. The following morning we discovered ants in the bathroom. All of these things were reported when we checked out.

The hotel is in a great location. Short walk to both the marina area and the wharf. The beach is just across the road. Parking and breakfast were both included and be aware that the car park is quite tight if you’re coming in a larger car. Our room itself however was a disappointment. The shower was in need of a repair with the handles coming away from the wall. You also needed to twist the taps REALLY tight to switch it off otherwise the leaks out the shower head were ridiculous. There was also a lot of mouldy spots on the walls in the shower room. We only stayed the one night so didn’t ask to change rooms. Quick side note. Santa Barbara is a beautiful place and a wander down the beach area at sunset is a must!!

We’ve stayed here 3 times now. The first two times we stayed on the ocean side on the first floor, gorgeous room, beautiful bathrooms, but the last time, we stayed on the top floor, with a balcony, facing the harbor. The bathroom was terrible, old, pipes were exposed, grout was brown and missing, spots of black mold, bath tub was not properly cleaned, there was no hot water multiple nights, and just really disappointing for $400 a night. Asked to change rooms, that wasn’t possible. Asked for electric charging, that wasn’t possible even though there are 3 stations but 2 do not work and other cars who aren’t electric cars were parked there. Breakfast was extremely disappointing. Got food, but brown looking eggs. Sad, because it is a really cute hotel, but please update your bathrooms to match the rest of the facility!

We were warmly greeted by front desk staff and were surprised and delighted to be offered a complimentary 5 PM happy hour of wine, cheese, and grapes. The room was clean, quiet, modern, and comfortable. There were two large seating areas available in the poolside courtyard, both very lovely and well maintained. The hotel is conveniently located near many food options. The complimentary breakfast buffet was varied, delicious, and there was an attentive staff member there to make sure that the area was tidy and that fresh food was available.

The room is dirty & smelly, especially the bed. Service is not good. Bathroom is old, really needs remolding. It’s like stay in model 6. I never will stay there again. It’s bad bad bad.

Lobby and breakfast area very clean and organized. The room did not have a large mirror other then the bathroom Carpet had a huge stain. Coffee in the afternoon not hot

Very nice hotel by the beach but be aware of 1 most likely the housekeeping will wake you up by 7 because they talking to each other so loud 2. The bathrooms are really old at least for room # 323 3. WiFi is a nightmare

The harbor view rooms are right on the street. Our room was by the corner at the stop light. The vehicles taking off were so loud all day and night! We hardly slept. The room was nice. The balcony was so tiny, you could barely sit out there. The thing we loved was location, within walking distance of everything we wanted to do.

Great location across from the harbor. We had a king room with harbor view & balcony. It’s on a busy corner so it wasn’t quiet but nighttime wasn’t too bad. Staff were super friendly! Many restaurants within walking distance & the pathways along the beach were amazing!

No sound proofing between adjacent, door-sharing rooms. Bathroom absolutely needs updating. Mattress seemed old and too bouncy. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was great. Location is the selling point of this hotel.

The only dislike from my stay was that the AC in my first room didnt work and got moved to another room and that AC barely worked. The staff were awesome and super helpful. Overall I loved my stay even without a working AC at night we just opened the windows and enjoyed the ocean breeze.

I would give this place a solid B, the location was great, but the rooms left something to be desired in terms of quality for price point.

Well things did not start well at all. We arrived after driving from San Fran and whilst we were a little early and got told our room would be ready at 4pm, once we got back the front desk was rude and said the room wasn’t ready and could not give a time on when it may be available. I asked when I should come back and she said ‘I don’t know, it’s not my problem, it’s house keeping problem’ and that I need to come back later. After waiting another hour we went back and the front desk lady was just as rude and didn’t explain anything about the place and just took my deposit and gave me a key. After getting to the room, we were missing pillows and blankets for the 2nd bed. I asked the lovely house keeping staff that were walking around if I could get another pillow and blanket which they seemed more than happy to help with until the lady from check in came past and told me to go back to my room and the items would be delivered. The housekeeping staff were great but once again the rudeness of the lobby lady was appalling. We will never stay here again and can this has to be the worst customer service we have had in our entire 4 week trip throughout the USA. Highly disappointing and would not recommend.

Waited at the front desk for over an hour for staff to show up to check me in. No one was answering phones or on the walkers. Employee showed up riding his scooter around 1am. Was only staying to sleep 5 hours before an all day fishing trip. Only got 3 hours because of the employee going MIA.

We overall liked the property, however there were some hiccups. Upon receiving our "your room is ready text" we walked back to the hotel where we were informed we would have to wait 10 minutes to check in because of a "shift change". Fine I suppose, but I've never encountered a shift change taking 10 minutes when both employees are standing in front of us. Then upon entering the room we showered the kids and went to shower ourselves and the water was off. Calling the front desk we were informed they had to replace a valve and all water would remain off for 30 minutes. Imagine arriving to your hotel and not being able to use the restroom or showers with two children. Rough start, but beyond that and not so comfortable beds, it was fine.

Great staff, very friendly and welcoming. Great location. Harbour view room, large and well kept. TV, fridge, wi-fi. Easy to walk to restaurants, shops and around the marina and Sterns Wharf. Fantastic happy hour between 4pm to 5pm. Red and white wine, cheese and grapes. Staff very quick to replenish any empty bottles of wine. Fantastic stay.

Beachside Inn was a great place to stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance of shopping and dining. Also very near the beach and the yacht club - which is a great place to walk too. The rooms were clean and the afternoon wine and cheese was a great little surprise.

The location is amazing! Right across the street from the beach and walking distance to state street, pier, and restaurants. We enjoyed the wine and cheese reception and breakfast!

The Good: close to the harbor and walking distance to the pier and downtown. Seemed recently renovated. The Bad: horrible mattress and pillows; lumpy and hard. "Happy Hour" was a small shelf by the door with an open bottle of wine and a bowl of grapes. Plastic cups. The dining area was 10 steps away but they chose to keep it by the door and seemed very proud of their "offering". The larger common area where they served breakfast had a bad smell the whole time we were there. Breakfast itself was mid at best. Low effort for the price you're paying. Then, our room was on the end and there was banging on one of the exterior walls directly behind our bed all night. All in all, would not recommend. Much nicer places to be had for the same price or only a little more.

Great location & very walkable to downtown or harbor!

Excellent location just across the street from the boat harbour and within a couple of blocks of both Leadbetter beach (and a beach cafe) and the beginning of the main shopping and eating district of downtown Santa Barbara. While it's a modest motel type hotel, it is clean, well-run with a lovely pool and tasty breakfast service.

Great location, includes breakfast, just a few blocks away from State St and the pier. Great customer service and will definitely come back here again.

The Beachside Inn is very conveniently located, within easy walking distance of the beach and boardwalk. We were happy with our room and with the breakfast buffet, and the Italian restaurant next door is excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would go back!

We were disappointed that the breakfast choices never changed.

Liked the social setting promoted by the lobby and adjoining dining area. Might sound insignificant, but I enjoyed the ample parking... Breakfast was good and plenty, but I think a waffle maker would be the icing on the cake.

We really enjoyed our stay! Room was really nice, we could walk everywhere and the buffet breakfast was so delicious!!!

Great job other than the breakfast experience not sure what to say about the egg blob and weird sausage pieces in a warmer Beagle was good and so was the coffee

Love the breakfast buffet fare! Daily FRESH BLUEBERRIES!!! And the skewered chicken, sausages, eggs, etc etc The free wine, cheese and grapes daily 4-5 PM. The staff is amazing …. they keep everything g so clean and fresh smelling throughout the hallways! The location across the beach and walking distance to the pier, etc etc etc Highly recommend this place for business or pleasure! Just really the best!
