APA Hotel Kyoto Ekikita

Buen hotel, muy bien ubicado, limpieza bien, lavanderia bien. Compre el desayuno al llegar ahi y esta bien, solo que es el mismo todos los dias.

Friendly reception staff were able to store our bags until check-in. The room was small but cozy. The bed was comfy, although the pillows could be thicker/fluffier. Free Video On Demand movies and tv. Mini fridge and kettle in the room but could also do with a microwave. 3 minute walk from Kyoto station. Convenient stores are only 2 minutes walk as well. Overall great value.

Design of hotel room is so convinient though the room is not large. Friendly service. TV can connect to Youtube and other streaming app

京都駅からも近く、何処へ行くにも大変便利でした。 部屋も清潔で心地よく、2泊しましたが清掃不要を基本にしているのは好感が持てました。バスタオル、歯磨き用具、寝具ガウン等の交換は部屋の外のドアノブに掛けてありました。次回も利用したいと思います。

素泊まりするには充分な設備が整っていて概ね満足です。欲を言えば、冬のこの時期なのでスキンクリーム等が常備されていれば尚良かったと思います。

This was a great hotel to stay in during my first trip to Kyoto. The transportation options are great, as you can get to a bus stop without crossing a street, and Kyoto Station is a little over a block away. Dining options are abundant. There is a restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. Kyoto Station also has numerous dining options, a lot of which are open later compared to a lot of places in Kyoto. The bed large, especially for one person. I had enough room to store two, possibly 3 suitcases at the foot of the bed. The bathroom was nice and clean. I never once got any hint of cigarette smoke in the room, which is fantastic. The staff are all very kind. Y. Ishida is a particularly stand out staff member. She helped me with what I needed with a smile on her face, and I never had any communication issues with her. My only complaint was with the dryer in the laundry room. There are two washers and two dryers. The washer worked fine, but the right side dryer didn’t dry my clothes well at all, and it left a lot of leftover lint. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed 5 nights here. Location excellent next to the main railway station, walking distance to many of the impressive sights of Kyoto. Condition immaculate, likewise any other APA hotels, plenty, and I mean it, plenty of free amenities. The staff super friendly, polite and well educated (that's hard to find the opposite in Japan anyway). Extremely helpful and so used to people arriving before check-in time that they have an excellent system to keep your luggage until you return and have a room, and impressively secure too. Nice comfy beds, generally larger than the Japanese standard for a double. But of course being Japan, size matters. Bedrooms are quite small, not to mention the bathroom. Nevertheless I've been to many APA in this trip and a previous one some years back, all are the same, and so are other hotel brands, so this is not a downside at all, it is the fact. The only downside at this property is the breakfast. Yes, I can imagine for a Japanese national must be great, cooked from fresh in the moment, however for an occidental person... we could not eat that in the morning. We missed at least some toasts and marmalade. Only the coffee/tea and juice was there for us to be honest. In any case, meters away you have a 7 Eleven, McDonalds and more where you can get some sandwiches and eat in the hotel's restaurant with the coffee and juice they provide, easy. So do not pay extra for the breakfast, it will be useless and a waste of money.

A nice quiet hotel that’s out of the way from traffic and noise. The staff made check in and check out easy, even helping me out with figuring out where the amenities are. The room was also clean and not too cramped.

2泊の連泊でしたが、コップが衛生面を考慮して紙コップが用意されたほかにガラスのグラスがありましたが、2泊目には紙コップの補充はなくグラスも交換されていないので、フロントに連絡し持ってきてもらいました。更に1泊めに湯船にお湯を溜めて入り、翌日も同じ様に入浴したところ湯船がザラザラで、きちんと清掃されてなく湯垢がが付いていました。湯船を洗っていない物とおもわれます。別に掃除は要らないと言った訳ではありません。こんな雑な清掃しかしないホテルは初めてでした。アパのホテルには二度と泊まりたくありません。連泊の方は充分ご注意ください。

Terrible experience! There was a dirty sock and slipper left in my room after the housekeeping service! Poor front desk service. I have to repeat the complaint again and again three times because the staff didn’t understand what i was saying… Housekeeping is supposed to tidy up the room!

There are a lot of malls close to the hotel if shopping is your thing. The room was too small for two people. Being able to get on and off the bed from only one side was not ideal for less agile individuals. Perhaps this size room could be offered only as a single. It was not as clean as other hotels I’ve stayed at. Staff were somewhat helpful and friendly.

机とベッドの上の部分のほこりが掃除されていなくて嫌だった。こげ茶色だから、余計に目立っていた。 クレンジングがあると思っていたから持って行ってなくて困った。

Found someone drinked water bottle in the room refrigerator at the first day. Manager not even explained when this situation happended. Although the front desk changed another room for me, but the room was still not clean at standard level. The only good thing is the location is near the Kyoto station. Will not choose this hotel again.

The hotel is very good overall, but the room has a step at the entrance to the bathroom that becomes uncomfortable over time. Having to go up and down that step, especially during the night, puts strain on the knee joint.

The hotel itself was pretty decent, but could be better if it was thought out more. The rooms are just SLIGHTLY too small to make it really difficult to maneuver around a 2nd person. Luggage access was tricky too. The bathroom has a decent shower. The toilet was fine. Everything was clean. My biggest gripes were the HVAC and the technology in the room. The air is centrally controlled so it is either blasting heat or blasting a/c and you don't get to decide which one. Can't have just the fan on for white noise. Worst was the tv/wifi situation. The TV box acts as the wifi for the room and the TV controller and does neither particularly well. Wifi cut out multiple times and had to be restarted manually which takes ten minutes. The TV just drops out randomly while casting to it. Not very good. Otherwise, the location is great, very conveniently near Kyoto station, close to tons of great restaurants, and walkable to lots of cool spots. I'd stay in the area again, but I would probably look elsewhere for my accommodations.

Room is too small. Not enough space to open luggage. There is no thermostat to control room temperature. It is too warm but nothing can be done.

Pillows were too small so sleep was hard.

トイレの便座が冷たいのと、スペースが狭いのが難点。その他は申し分無し。

Staff’s are awesome. Very helpful. Helped me recover my backpack that i forgot on the shinkansen and was about 300 kilometers away. Arranged for it to be shipped to the hotel the next morning. About a 7 min walk to the train and bus station. And huge shopping area close by as well.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was easy to check in the room was clean. It’s very close to the train station which is the main reason for choosing this hotel. The bathroom is small but has everything you need. The room layout makes the most of the space.

We arrived about 40 minutes before check in time 2:20pm and confirmed that we had arrived and had reservations. Even though we had the impression that the room was ready, the staff had us waiting until 3 pm and then processed 2 others who just come in at 3pm! After sitting in front of the check in counter for 40 minutes 10 feet from the staff, we were then subjected to another 40 minutes to finalize our check in before being given the “key” to our room! There was only one other person who checked in while we waited and the staff ignored us, doing nothing constructive until just after 3 pm when I asked to be checked in! With 5 APA hotels within 3 or 4 blocks, we picked the worst one! The room was so small that 2 people couldn’t even get past each other! Of all the other APA hotels we stayed in and several other hotels, this was absolutely the worst one of all!!!! Ruined the experience of being in Kyoto!!! I could add other problems but the best thing I could say was to fire the staff and close the hotel!!!!!

ホテル自体は心地よく使わせて頂きました。 チェックイン時に対応して頂いたスタッフは始めたてくらいの方でサポートもいました。 私のリクエストに対応できない時サポートも対応出来ず少しうやむやになってとりあえずその場は終わりました。 そこがよくなるともっとよくなると思います。 頑張って下さい。

食事なしでの予約でしたが、駅近でなんの不便もなかったです。 チェックイン前も後も荷物を預かっていただけるので、とても助かりました。スタッフの方の対応もとても良かったです。

Esta es una gran opción para quedarse. Estaba asustada porque leí varios comentarios quejándose del tamaño y pensé que sería una miniatura pero tuve que reservarlo porque no había otros disponibles ya que vine en temporada alta, sin embargo me volveré a quedar en futuros viajes a Japón incluso con otros alojamientos disponibles. Tiene todo lo que necesitas para quedarte a dormir (yo no pasaba el día ahí) por la ubicación afuera pasan todos los camiones en la esquina y a unas cuadras está la kioto station. El personal es súper amable. Me equivoqué e hice el checkout a las 7:00 am porque pensé que una atracción que quería visitar estaba abierta pero no era así, me dejaron volver a entrar a mi cuarto a pesar de esto. También te cuidan tus maletas todo el día en caso de necesitarlo 20/10 quédense

No me permitieron los chicos de la recepción escribir ni guantes sugerencia. No me ayudaron en nada. Hacían que no hablaban inglés. Fueron descorteses. Me dolía la muela. Yo tuve que conseguir dentista e ir sin cita y me atendieron muy bien en taxi. Ellos me decían que no había taxi. Como sugerencia pueden tender la cama todos los días. Una viene cansada de los tours y quiere acostarse. El check in puede ser más temprano. La comida desayuno es horrible. Les dije que no comía pescado. No nos gustan los huevos fríos.

Close enough to the train station without hearing the trains!

Very accessible location...

About a 5 minute walk from Kyoto Station and Kyoto Tower. Plenty of places to shop and eat around this area. Hotel is in a nice quiet location.

Excellent location close to the station. I arrived late at night in Kyoto and knowing the hotel was 2 min away from the station was the best. Super convenient for those who are not spending more than 3 nights in Kyoto to go continue explore other cities in Japan.

Excelente ubicación, a escasos metros del tren y metro, el cuarto es muy pequeño pero excelente servicio!! Maneja un desayuno japonés tradicional DELICIOSO!!

We were very, very, very disappointed in the breakfast compared with the sister hotel in Osaka. Not happy at all.

Do not book breakfast as it is a set menu for Japanese customers. Rooms are very small.

I love this hotel! This is my second time staying here. The service is great! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the wifi is great! The location is also convenient from the Kyoto station or to walk to Nishiki Market or Gion. The breakfast is the best part: fast service and absolutely delicious food!

Good service and location. The breakfast was thoroughly Japanese, so might be more of an acquired taste for some. The quality was good. A quick and easy walk from Kyoto station, so getting around was a breeze.
