Public areas are spectacular and pristine but room was a little dated although clean. I cannot give a good rating for overall cleanliness though due to the breakfast restaurant being outside and all the cold foods uncovered on a polo resort. Naturally there were flies but they were on the cold foods and trying to eat was difficult with flies buzzing around our plates. We raised this as an issue with management and asked if we could sit inside somewhere. This was not possible as there was no inside seating. We eventually were able to have breakfast in our room but even that was difficult to agree and we had a phone call from room service one morning at 2 am to inform us that we were not allowed to have breakfast in our room. We were asleep at that time. Shame about the flies as this let the whole resort down but getting them to understand that is a real hygiene issue seemed to go completely over their heads.

The restaurants in this hotel are really good, especially the Lebanese one, and the polo/barn is really great, but the rest leaves something to be desired. The breakfast buffet was just OK. The pool area badly needs updating - it is not luxurious at all. They put me in a room directly above a construction site (work on the hotel) which started at 8 am and ended at 7 - yet the hotel is huge, and was not full. Also be aware the restaurant/pub can get loud with outdoor music and games. But it’s a fun place. I would just say this isn’t a 5 star hotel. It’s just ok.
