Excellent hotel; one of the best we have ever stayed at and we travel a lot! This is our second time here and we came back due to the amazing staff, meticulously clean lobby, rooms, pool, and the best Amish buffet- Der Dutchman. The minute you walk into the lobby, you can see how clean it is and how professional the staff are. Breakfast is free, all you can eat and very good. The pool is very nice and the patio is beautiful; we love sitting outside on a warm night. My only complaint and I won’t change my 5 star rating because I love this hotel so much, is the pillows. They are awful. We all had stiff necks from them. My advice is bring your own pillow.

Solid good breakfast, you can bring trays to eat in your room. Delicious baked goods and cookies served every evening. Nice spacious rooms, wonderful pool area with pool toys provided. You definitely need transportation to get around (beaches are all at least 15-20 mins away) although a convenient shopping plaza is across the street, about a 5-7 minute walk. One other con is that some of the Amish/Mennonite people staying at the property were not very friendly.

A wonderful home away from home. From the moment you enter the lobby, you immediately feel the warm hospitality. The front desk agents were genuine and it really felt like they were happy to see us. Once we checked in and went upstairs, we were so surprised at how BEAUTIFUL the entire building is decorated. Spacious, and we mean SPACIOUS hallways. It didn't feel like a hotel. It felt like home. The room was comfortable and we loved the layout. Breakfast was great. The staff was friendly. The entire hotel is soooo clean and it smells sooooo nice. Let me tell you, so many hotels have a nasty musty smell. Nope, not the Carlisle Inn! Everything was perfect. This will certainly be our go-to hotel whenever we are in the area. We give the Carlisle Inn 10/10 stars!

Wonderful property with great Amish bakery & amazing gift shop next to it. You get a cookie at hotel which are absolute scrumptious! Good clean workout room, pool, & would highly recommend. Room was spacious & nice amenities. 👍👍👍

Room was great especially with kids. Hotel also offered breakfast buffet. Seemed cleaned and cozy. EC charger was convenient so I could charge my car during the night. We never got around to the 4pm cookies sadly

The hotel is nice and clean, my family of 4 enjoyed the 2 night stay in the double bed room. The heated pool area was nice as well as all common areas in the hotel. There are a couple of things that could be better though - the breakfast was very basic, with rubbery scrambled eggs made out of egg powder. Another thing that we didn’t enjoy was smell in the room - it had very chemical smell of cleaning supplies. Overall, it’s a very nice hotel though.

We absolutely loved staying at this hotel. The wonderful breakfast every morning, cookies every afternoon, coffee 24/7 and wonderful staff made this vacation great for our memories. The only recommendation would be to shampoo the carpets in the room more frequently.

Loved our stay in the king suite with full kitchen and washer/dryer. The spacious layout is perfect for a family. Quality construction, we didn’t hear any of the other hotel guests. Doors are heavy and solid. The property is impeccably clean and housekeeping is very attentive. Front desk staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast and cookies in the evening were a great bonus. Highly recommend!

This is a highly recommended stay, at an excellent price! Wonderful large room, with bottles of water waiting for us. The first bathroom we have ever experienced that provided two separate rooms, divided by the entrance hall, toilet\shower in one with its own vanity\sink. The other one also had a vanity sink, fridge, microwave and the big walk-in closet together, so perfect for a couple to do different things separately. 👍 We thought brilliant planning! The rest of the room was very spacious with larger than average widescreen TV. ✅

This is an excellent hotel. Experienced, professional staff are very helpful. Rooms are large, well-appointed and very clean. The hallways between rooms in this hotel are the widest I have ever seen, and decorated with tables, lamps and couches. Common areas such as lobby, convention areas and breakfast areas are large and very nice. This is an Amish hotel that has all the modern conveniences and great hospitality. The hotel shares a parking lot with Der Dutchman, a restaurant owned by the same group as the hotel. The room was great value for the money.

This hotel is extremely clean and well kept, both inside and out! The rooms are very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room we stayed in didn't seem to adjust to the temperature we set despite having the shades closed all day (these new motion sensing HVAC systems are a poor idea). Bring a fan if you like air circulation! The bathrooms are spacious and the shower space is massive, but please, put a shower head in that matches the space! Breakfast was fresh and hot but lacked healthy options

Everything from check in to check out was great. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The only thing that keeps me from giving five stars is that the shutters in the room didn't block out the sun in the morning. It should be a law that all hotels must have blackout drapes. Despite my exhaustion, I just couldn't sleep in with the sun creeping in through the cracks in the shutters. Request a room on the west side of the hotel if you value your sleep.

We stayed at Carlisle Inn Sarasota from Thurs, May22 to Sat, May 24. We barely spent time in the room—just to sleep. On Fri the 23rd at 10:53 AM, I received a call saying a fire alarm was triggered in our room and staff needed to enter, even though our privacy tag was up. I had been in the room all morning—no alarm ever went off. No other rooms were being checked, and we were being singled out. Later that day at 4:12 PM, I got a call from the manager, Janet Hasen, accusing us of smoking weed in the room based on a complaint. I don’t smoke and never did on the property. Instead of listening, she started guessing—saying maybe my clothes smelled like it. We were barely in the room long enough to unpack, and they have cameras to verify that. Then on Sat morning at checkout, Janet Hansen came out to confront me again. I told her I felt disrespected and uncomfortable. I even said if she suspected illegal activity, she should’ve called the police. She replied, “I should’ve called 311,” doubling down on the accusation with zero evidence. I’m a licensed real estate professional and CT scan, tech for 14 years . My girlfriend works in healthcare. We live with integrity and followed every rule. Yet we were treated like criminals. I will not return and cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a respectful, professional environment. This level of unprofessionalism and judgment from management is unacceptable. We left feeling uncomfortable, targeted, and upset .

On arrival my wife had some serious back-problem. The front desk gave ut directions to a urgent care center, AND they also had at reclainer sendt to our room ASAP. This was a very good start to a 9 day ecellent stay at Carlisle Inn. Smiling faces, good service, nice room. What moore could you ask for? If you are going to Sarasota I would definitely recommend this hotel!!!!

Nice place with clean large rooms, hallways, and general areas. We arrived after 10pm, and the main lobby doors were locked. Getting the staff to stop their conversation to offer me access and check me in was a bit awkward (knocking on the glass doors and feeling unwelcome). That subsided quickly and it was a nice stay.

They have the best staff working the front desk, I think their names are Becky and Gary. They were very helpful and welcoming. They let us borrow an umbrella on a rainy day. We got a room with a kitchenette for a small upgrade fee and the room was huge. The halls through the building are very wide and have seating areas which was very nice. We did not hear any noise from other rooms. The der Dutchman restaurant and gift shop is on the same property. We would definitely come back and stay longer.

Very friendly staff. Anna at front desk was very good and gave a great first impression that lasted for our stay. In a word.. Clean! We will definitely be returning to stay there again. Room was spacious as were the hallways. Quiet area of town but centrally located for us.

The gentleman (Gary?) who checked me in was incredible. I asked if there might be a place I could eat close by, and he told me about their restaurant across the parking lot and how good the food was (it was great). Then, he stepped around from behind the front desk to walk me to (not point to) where breakfast was served in the morning, and to the elevator bank. He is an extra-mile kind of employee!

The breakfast was amazing, very polite and helpful staff. My husband hurt his back , I asked the staff for ice, they not only made him an ice pack but offered to bring a recliner to his room, doing that really helped him. Outstanding overall!! Thank you !!!

The customer service is by far the best I've encountered. The front desk staff were amazing and so friendly. Everything was superb from entering the hotel till check out. The lobby is beautiful and the complimentary cookies were delicious. Gary was super nice and attentive. The room was super clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great Nancy and the maintenace person ( didn't catch his name) were so helpful when the water machine wouldn't work they apologized and gave us water bottles. It truly was a wonderful stay.I will definitely return and stay longer one night wasnt enough.

It has a very calm atmosphere and you cannot hear anything room to room and hardly anything hallway to room. I had a plumbing problem occur in my bathroom and they moved me to another room within 30 minutes of me calling. They were very responsive and pleasant.

Solid good breakfast, you can bring trays to eat in your room. Delicious baked goods and cookies served every evening. Nice spacious rooms, wonderful pool area with pool toys provided. You definitely need transportation to get around (beaches are all at least 15-20 mins away) although a convenient shopping plaza is across the street, about a 5-7 minute walk. One other con is that some of the Amish/Mennonite people staying at the property were not very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at the Carlisle. We usually stay downtown, so this was a bit different, but the hotel was lovely. The large and comfortable hallways and bedrooms made it nice. There's no bar in this hotel, but there is a swimming pool, and breakfast was better than most. And you've always got Der Dutchman across the parking lot. I would recommend it.

The Carlisle is definitely a 10/10! It is a lovely surprise for my first visit to Sarasota. It is super clean and very well managed. People there are friendly and helpful. The room is spacious, simple and comfortable. The breakfast even have self-made waffles, my wife loves it. The hotel location is great, very easy to access to major places. We took a walk on the legacy trail (which literally pass the backyard of the hotel)in the early morning, turns out to be a highlight of our visit this time. We are going to Sarasota again in early June, will definitely stay there again.

Excellent hotel; one of the best we have ever stayed at and we travel a lot! This is our second time here and we came back due to the amazing staff, meticulously clean lobby, rooms, pool, and the best Amish buffet- Der Dutchman. The minute you walk into the lobby, you can see how clean it is and how professional the staff are. Breakfast is free, all you can eat and very good. The pool is very nice and the patio is beautiful; we love sitting outside on a warm night. My only complaint and I won’t change my 5 star rating because I love this hotel so much, is the pillows. They are awful. We all had stiff necks from them. My advice is bring your own pillow.

This hotel is extremely clean and well kept, both inside and out! The rooms are very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room we stayed in didn't seem to adjust to the temperature we set despite having the shades closed all day (these new motion sensing HVAC systems are a poor idea). Bring a fan if you like air circulation! The bathrooms are spacious and the shower space is massive, but please, put a shower head in that matches the space! Breakfast was fresh and hot but lacked healthy options

I recently stayed at your hotel, and given the high rates and premium pricing, I expected a much better experience than what I received. Unfortunately, I encountered several serious issues that I feel compelled to bring to your attention. 1. Elevator Functionality & Accessibility One of the most basic expectations when staying at any hotel is ease of access to your room. This hotel had only two elevators—one of which was completely out of service during my entire stay. The other elevator appeared to be in poor working condition and was extremely slow. On multiple occasions, I waited up to 8 minutes just to get to or from my room, which is entirely unacceptable. A fully booked hotel with only one barely functioning elevator is a serious inconvenience and should have been addressed immediately, especially considering the premium pricing guests are paying. 2. Breakfast Service & Quality Expectations Another disappointment was the breakfast service. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected breakfast to be served with appropriate tableware. Instead, everything was served on paper plates, which felt cheap and out of place. Even a plastic or ceramic plate would have been more suitable. This reflects poor judgment by management and gives the impression of cost-cutting at the expense of guest experience. 3.
