Nice hotel with clean, modern rooms and a small but useful gym. The included breakfast is ok, but everything is single-use, from cups, plates and utensils to jam, yogurt ketchup, etc. There has got to be a way to reduce waste, such as having a clearly marked receptacle for items that can be composted. We were very pleased with the hotel, it was much more clean and modern than expected. The room and the bathroom were spacious. The only thing we didn’t like was that we weren’t told that the breakfast hours during the week were different than during the weekend, and so we missed breakfast on our last day, which was a bit frustrating. The parking situation is also annoying because they have limited parking and there is no way to reserve beforehand. It is a good thing there is a parking lot right in front the hotel, 27$ for 24 hours, which was a good deal for the area! That saved us.

We stayed here with our three teenage daughters for spring break. The hotel was clean ans breakfast was decent. Easy and quick walk to the subway to get to Manhattan. We felt safe even after dark. Just FYI - even though it says parking is available at the hotel, it is limited, and the lot may be full. But - there were multiple parking garages nearby, and we were able to find a spot.

The staff is so friendly, the hotel is the cleanest I’ve been to recently, and the location was honestly perfect. There was a market near by and taco place across the street that we ended up going to several times. Also right by a subway station. Haven’t been this happy with a hotel stay in a long time.

The location is great, the amenities are great, the location is great, the area is great, the rooms were comfortable and clean, BUT there was one problem; on the second night, right in the middle of the carpet was the biggest cockroach I have ever seen. It was slow so it was easy to take care of, but it gave my partner a fright. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but I would describe it as downgrading the place from a 5/5 to a 4/5 in my mind.

This place has a serious bug problem. I stayed here for three nights, and after the first night I noticed a dead cockroach on the hotel floor. When I brought it to the front desk, they just stared at me blankly and had the head of housekeeping come “take a look.” All they did was pick up the bug and remove it from the room. I had to request to be moved, since none of the three staff members at the desk offered a solution. Instead, they made excuses and tried to shift the blame, even saying, “maybe the prior guests brought it in.” On the morning of my departure, I saw another large bug crawling on the floor on the other side of the room. I contacted the general manager, who insisted a pest control company had inspected the hotel and found nothing. If it weren’t for this issue, I might recommend staying here. But if you care about cleanliness and don’t want to find cockroaches in your room I would strongly suggest finding another hotel.

We were super happy with our hotel stay at Hyatt Place Long Island. It was an easy bus ride over from LaGuardia with a short walk. The hotel itself was great, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and really appreciated. We were also glad that there were several great food options for late night eats super close to the hotel. The subway is a short walk away for easy transportation into Manhattan. Thanks for a great stay!

Unfortunately we had a room right next to the elevator and ice machine and it left us with a horrible experience sleeping. If you ever say here and see that your room is remotely close to it, please avoid it at all costs.

The hotel was easy to locate. The room was clean and cute. Loved the bathroom and the bed was super comfortable. Didnt like the tv kept losing signal and had less tv options to watch. The staff was friendly.

I love how easy it is to get into Manhattan from this location. My only qualms is be aware that if your room faces the highway and you are a light sleeper it will be fairly loud so you should bring ear plugs. The free breakfast was amazing and more than i could have ever asked for and it was accommodating for someone with an early meeting in manhattan i was able to grab a "WRAPPED" bagel and wrapped apple and run to get to the subway.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The mattress was perfect and the pillows helped me to easily fall asleep. It was an easy check in and the staff was friendly and personable. I loved that I was within walking distance to 3 different train stations so it was easy to get around the city as there are various train lines. I would stay here again!

We were quite disappointed with our 2-night stay at Hyatt Place Long Island City. Though the room itself was clean and spacious we had to spend a night in a freezing room because the heat wasn't working. Would have expected this to be on someone's checklist when getting the room ready for us. This was a sub-zero degree night and so this was especially hard travelling with children. Upon notifying the front desk of this the next morning, they seemed non-nonchalant about it and offered to have a mechanic take a look and move us if the issue could not be addressed. This whole inconvenience was made worse by the fact that we were offered no empathy or apology for the situation we were in. I would think this would be hospitality 101 but sadly that wasn't the case.

Booked for 22 nights, but was forced to checkout one day earlier due to NYC regulation for max 21 nights of continuous stay. So I booked one night at LIC Hotel for my last day of the trip. However, when I checked out at 9:30AM (after 21 nights stay), the staff refused to hold my luggage at lobby for just 4 hours (I promised to come back before 2PM to pick up my luggage, then check in with another hotel). How is that for “customer first”?

The staff is excellent. We are allowed to check in 2 hours early. We called ahead and they were able to save a parking spot for us too. The cost of the parking was very reasonable. This hotel is close to the subway station: Queensboro & Count Square. Easy access to the Ball Game at Citi Field & Brooklyn. The free breakfast staff was amazing. They kept everything full and they were very happy. The front desk workers were very nice, accommodating and happy. Thank you for making our stay great.

Unfriendly staff. Additional cost for less than 2 hours earlier check-in and for each piece of luggage I asked them to store for a few hours. And finally they put food on my bill although I didn‘t buy anything at their kiosk.

We had a great time staying here on a recent NYC trip! The hotel was very nicely situated, an easy way to several different subway stops and also many nice restaurants nearby. The breakfast each morning was a nice touch. Everything was clean and the room was comfortable. We will definitely stay here again when we visit in the future.

Overall was good.but Breakfast was not setup properly as sitting area was very congested and limited menu was served. Wasn’t much for vegetarian.and people lined up for making waffles.i think hotel staff should be making waffles rather then people waiting wasting food n time. Disposable plates stick together and wasting alot. If waffles and bread hotel staff serve then less waiting time n shorter people line up. But overall we enjoyed .good experience.

We had a family room , unfortunately it wasn’t ready when we arrived so had to wait about 1.5hrs . The room for us was comfy and spacious although the sofa bed wasn’t the greatest and we adapted by putting the cushions under the mattress. The staff were helpful and breakfast was good, although getting a seat was at times difficult,
