Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Flagstaff East

Our stay was great. But at check out we find and additional charge for parking at the hotel. This is not acceptable. We have to park there, we are staying there. It's not a big city that doesn't have parking space available. Just charge $5 more for the room and don't nickel and dime your customers.

I do not recommend this hotel, it is not value for money and not a three star standard at all. Positives: - Good size room, nice and clean, modern - Friendly and welcoming reception staff Negatives: - Breakfast was one of the worst, would be better if they did not offer it all. Basically inedible. - No room service unless you specifically requested, allegedly that is their policy that nobody mentioned to us, so we were surprised after returning after full day to see the room not cleaned, towels unchanged, beds unmade. - Indoor swimming pool is tiny

Beds very uncomfortable. Breakfast after hockey team left was very different- much less appealing with fewer food options. Very noisey hallways and pool water temp was not warm enough to enjoy. Very dissapointing over all at $224 per night

This is a relatively new property, and the rooms were very clean and nice. However, and be aware of this, they charge $7.50 for parking . . . in a typical hotel parking lot -- no covered parking nor near an airport. The hotel is located outside of town off the interstate. The clerk did not tell us there was a charge for parking, but just handed us a ticket for our dash that had $7.50 in very small print. I complained and contested the charge, which they did credit back. As nice as this hotel is we won't be staying here again, nor at any other Marriott in Flagstaff as the desk clerk told me they have all started charging a parking fee at their properties in town. Ever since Covid, the hotel industry has really been sticking it to travelers with reduced service and now added fees, as if traveling isn't stressful enough. It all just makes you want to stay home.

The bathroom smelled like urine. The shower head was broken. The breakfast was awful. No juice or even cold water was available to drink. They were out of honey. The pool heater was broken and not useful for us. The water filling station filter was red too. Overall not a great experience. We wouldn’t recommend.

The place was generally good. Not quite as great as the reviews would lead us to believe. Breakfast had no fresh cooked items, but did have a variety of hot and cold things. Tough menu for a celiac kid, though. Mostly bread. The pool was open but either not heated or broken, thus pretty useless unless you're doing a cold plunge. Hot tub was thankfully functional.

Lovely property. Helpful and kind staff, especially the housekeeping staff. Friendly and engaging made it comfortable. Water pressure in shower was strange and the drain was very slow. There was some obvious water damage around edges of ceiling and edges of tub in the bathroom. My 2 big suggestions for the property...put the brita water bottle fill station somewhere other than the fitness center..very distracting while you are working out. I was in the fitness center twice and both times there 5 or 6 pairs of people that came in just to fill their water bottles. Also I found it very odd that there was no way to clean off the equipment before or after using them. Feels unsanitary. 2nd time I used the fitness center I brought my own antibacterial gel and a towel, not ideal but certainly better than nothing.

It was very loud throughout the night. We were on the third floor and it sounded as if pounding went on all night above us. Never did figure out what it was. Also, we were told there was a $7.50 charge for parking. We had one vehicle and it was not covered or anything special. There was adequate parking for everyone. Very surprised by this addition and will not stay there again.

The place was so nice. Very clean , great people and great gym and indoor pool and a great free breakfast. The place looked and felt very new.

They didn't clean my room

THEY CHARGE YOU $7.50 FOR PARKING AND DONT OUTRIGHT TELL YOU THIS. Shower had hair in it. Water pipes were right next to the head of the bed so we heard every sink toilet fluch, sink turn on, and shower. Can also easily hear anyone walking by your door/in the hall. Breakfast was ok. I tried this hotel instead of my usual flagstaff one and I will be switching back.

The property was clean and well kept.

The room was so dark and very updated. There was block dirt or something on the top sheets. We were just so tired to complain or even us to be switched on another room.

Everything was perfect. The only complaint i have is the breakfast. No one was making sure the area was clean. Food was all over the floor. Not enough food was put out for people to eat

My wife loved the overall look and the experience was good, staff was friendly. The only gripe we have is that our king suite had a old teabag in a corner of the room and someone’s old sock under one of the tables. Makes you wonder how clean everything is.

The property was nice with good amenities. Nice quiet location with a gas station and restaurant next door. Close to freeway and town. Front desk staff awesome. Room was great. Comfy beds. One complaint would be the breakfast. After being on a 2 week roadtrip and experiencing many other starter breakfasts, we found the breakfast area to be unclean and messy. Many items unavailable, even simple things like butter and sugar-we were told they ran out for the day. Other hotels refill things as they run out. Also the tables were not cleaned between guests so we had to pick the least dirty tables. But all in all a nice overnight stay.

Very clean and quiet!

All I hear is sewage draining in my room. Unpleasant to say the least.

Beds were not very comfortable. Shower needs repair. Size of room was nice.

Nice, new facility. Very clean and still new! Only problem is the plumbing chase, too much noise every time someone upstairs flushes or takes a shower. Good breakfast, a nice plus. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The room and hotel were very nice. The walls and floors do not block sound very well so it was quite loud.

Check-in took over 45 minutes, which was frustrating after a long day of travel. To make matters worse, the hotel is difficult to find—our GPS took us nearly a mile in the wrong direction. We didn’t get into our room until nearly midnight, only to be woken just after 1:00 a.m. by the air conditioning unit making loud, jarring banging noises. It went on for quite a while, and we ended up getting barely three hours of sleep. When I brought this up to the staff in the morning, they were dismissive and completely uninterested in helping. I even had video proof of the noise, and they refused to look at it. No one from management has reached out to address the issue or offer any kind of apology or resolution. For a brand like Marriott, this kind of service is completely unacceptable. A hotel’s basic purpose is to provide guests with a good night’s sleep, and this hotel failed miserably at that. It was a waste of money and a deeply frustrating experience. I would not recommend staying here.

Sofa Bed is worst

Very, clean, comfortable, and spacious. We stayed in a suite with six people and it was very spacious.

I did not have a good experience at this Marriott hotel. I travel a lot and have stayed in many places and this by far was the worst hotel I have stayed at. The reason I am rating this hotel as the worst was due to the beds, the pillows, and the towels were absolutely horrible. The towels will seriously rip your skin off they are sooo rough and they need to replace the towels! The pillows have absolutely zero cushion, and a napkin would’ve been better than what I was offered as what they would call a pillow. And last but certainly not least, the spring bed was so hard that I can’t even move my neck and back without extreme pain, and I think I 100% need to see a chiropractor. A rock or a wood board would’ve been more comfortable than the bed! Save yourself some back and neck pain, and save your money and book somewhere else!

At a great location. Breakfast was great. Air conditioning was troublesome at the beginning. Beds are not to comfortable. Great location for up north national parks and hiking spots.

Charged $5 for parking. Usually hotels offers free parking. Thumbs down 👎. Housekeeping barging in without knocking. Another thumbs down.

I reserved a KING size bed back in July for a 1 night stay after an over night trip to horseshoe bend. I specifically reserved here 1 for the reviews & 2 for the king size n bed. They over booked & gave me 2 queens. When I questioned the front desk she lied & said Hotels.com booked as 2 queens

I arrived in a wintery mess. There was parking out front. The customer service rep was above and beyond helpful.she was friendly and very helpful. Even after I checked in, she would see pass thru the lobby and ask if I needed assistance

People at the reception area the worst. Too “busy” playing solitaire. Blinde person in the morning zero attentive, although we checked in early we literally were told to leave because “the app doesn’t work and you need to leave until checking time” Afternoon receptionist wasn’t that different and we were already supposed to be “at idle tome” If it were for staff I would not recommend this hotel.

Breakfast wasn't ready at the stated time. House keeping wasn't great. Didn't always leave enough wash cloths and didn't replenish the coffee kcups. Front desk staff were excellent. Very helpful.

Excellent location on exit toward Moab and Lake Powell off exit for highway 89 at the eastern edge of Flagstaff. Also there is a truly excellent Italian restaurant called I believe oreganos just across the parking lot.I like that since you can enjoy some Italian Chianti without fear of getting a DUI.

I like staying at this location. Easy on and off I- 40

Centrally located for exploring the area including Grand Canyon.

Location of this hotel was perfect for our one-night stay in Flagstaff. Room was clean, quiet, and safe. If we were staying longer, to see the sights, the hotel’s location was perfect. We would stay at this hotel again.

Was a great place to rest for the night. Comfortable and clean. Convenient distance to Oregano's where we had dinner and didn’t have to drive far and also a gas station right off the freeway.

No safe in the room The breakfast choices were poor

We took a family trip out west to visit several national parks. This was a great hotel close to Grand Canyon and Petrified Forest. The room was very large and comfortable- the breakfast was delicious with scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffles! Everything you could want in a hotel!

Well maintained hotel, friendly staff. Very close tobthe freeway but very quiet inside. Room is large, beddings were good. Breakfast was much better than other similar hotels that i have stayed. Highly recommend it. Will be back again.

Tori and several others are very friendly. Breakfeast is great! The hotel also facilitates recycling and promotes environment protection. 'It's the little things that make the big things possible!'

Nice new property. Breakfast left a little to be desired. Packaged sandwiches in a warmer was not a great option. Bread gets soggy in package.

Best hotel breakfast I’ve ever seen. Yummy waffles, lots of bagel and muffin choices, hot oatmeal with toppings, eggs and various breakfast sandwiches. Clean room. Cable TV is lousy but not their fault.
