Had a wonderful stay! It was my daughter's birthday and first time in nyc she was so excited. We walked into the room with a surprise birthday cake for her which was so nice! Great location and really enjoyed our stay!

We had issues checking in. The hotel’s system was down. They told us they would call/text/email when our room was ready, but they never did. Once we got to our room, it had a musty dirty smell to it but that was the only room available. I had booked a different room but had cancelled it weeks ago, however the cancellation didn’t transfer from hotels.com to the actual hotel’s system, so we were charged for another room and had to deal with management to get it resolved. It was resolved, just a hassle. There are only 2 elevators and the entire time we were there one of them was always down. The location is fabulous of Hotel Park Ave. The rooftop bar is amazing. Hotels.com qualifies this property as “luxury’ - I completely disagree. It’s moderate at best. Like I said highly recommend the area, but. It necessarily the hotel.

Some very rude people on the check in desk. Not helpful. Up themselves and just rude. Why are they hiring or continuing to employ these people. Besides that, good hotel.

This is a super hotel. My only complaint is this: I always run hot, and the ambient temperature in my room was 75 degrees. Changed the thermostat down to 56, and it didn’t move the needle— my stay would have been perfect had the temperature controls done what they should have. I didn’t ask staff if they could provide a fan or do anything to make it better— but I’m also aware that most folks would be fine at that temperature, so it’s really a me problem. The room was spotless, replete with editions of Bronte and Dickinson poems, the bathroom immaculate with fantastic fixtures, amenities and lovely towels. The price for my one night stay fit into my budget beautifully, and I won’t hesitate to return here again— in the winter months.
