Radisson RED Hotel, Glasgow

Hotel is interesting, but they closed the main attraction without any notice. Skybar should have been open until at least 1am, but it was closed before we came back from our evening out at 11.30pm. Was the sole reason for booking the hotel to enjoy a drink or two looking out over Glasgow at night. Very disappointed.

Excellent hotel only let down by them allowing non EV cars to park in the charging bays. We booked the hotel for the EV charging but couldn’t use it for the four days we stayed.

Excellent stay, only complaint was that the car park was full when we arrived so we ended up parking at the nearby multi-storey. Convenient for the Hydro.

I love staying in this hotel, it has all I need. The one criticism I have and it is big for me is the gym is poor! The three treadmills have not been serviced as the tread belts are jerky unless you run at over 6mph/10kph min this can be injury inducing. The free weights are none existing and there are no mats for core work. People on travel for work deserve the facilities to keep fit.

We had checked in online as per emails to save time, but when we arrived, there were no express kiosks in the hotel so still had to check in as normal…which took 20 minutes! The reception felt understaffed to deal with the volume of people. The room itself was clean and modern, but a bit tired. Coat hooks hanging off wall. Light bulb missing. The bathroom, however, was very run down. The door wouldn’t stay closed, with the hinges falling out the wall. Skirting boards swollen. Loose floor tiles. An extractor fan that just wouldn’t turn off. The TV also didn’t work, so reported to reception, which they did resolve. Breakfast food was ok. But the fruit juices were terrible, more liked diluting juice than fruit juice. The parking was extremely confusing. The prices at the car park entrance were ridiculous, £25 for 24 hours! We asked at reception how parking worked and if we would have to £25, and were told it was £12 per day. We asked if this covered our whole stay and were told it did. Yet the couple checking in next to us were told it was a £15 overnight rate. When we went to check out and asked if we could pay for our parking, the receptionist did something with our ticket, but never charged us, and said to drive up to the barrier. When we tried to leave the car park, I put the ticket in the barrier but it said it was an mis match. Had to push the help button, where reception just opened the barrier. Still no idea how the parking was meant to work.

Across from two major concert venues, so convenient. Didn't like the fact that hotel guests have to pay £12 per day to park at the hotel. On top of that, when I checked their website, it says £10 to park and they refused to honour that, saying, "Oh, the website's been wrong for about a year now." Overall, a clean, convenient place to stay if attending a concert but not sure I'd stay otherwise.

Lovely restaurant! The red bar was amazing with gorgeous view and attentive staff that made a mean cocktail. Mairi on the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. Would stay again!

Great location for us for OVO Hydro. Comfortable bed & room spotless. Sky bar nice tho couldn’t get in on Friday night as a private party on. Breakfast from self service not good as warm and not a lot left as in choice. Second breakfast better off the menu. Reception very helpful. Also unable to book restaurant as is wasn’t open on our arrival . Then fully booked before we could get booked

Overnight stay as attending a concert at the nearby Hydro arena. Not enough staff on in the bar area before and after the event. Very long queues formed.

All staff are so pleasant and helpful and the rooms have everything you need (except tea bags as I discovered this morning sadly). Biggest disappointment was not getting into the Sky Bar - we came back early from our night out thinking we could have a drink up on the top floor. It was fully booked so we couldn't get in - as residents, we didn't think we'd need to book (perhaps that could've been mentioned at check-in?). We headed to the Oui Bar which was empty (& all the tables were dirty), just stayed for a quick drink ..... a poor end to the day. Breakfast was lovely, a great choice of food, and excellent service from the staff - thank you!

Staff were great, couldn't fault them. But the hotel is looking tired and the carpets in rooms are dusty and dirty looking, especially at door ways, it appears someone has walked grout or plaster dust through the room which is now ingrained in the weave and no matter how hard its hoovered its not going to be clean. Roof had cracks right across it above the beds. Bathroom had broken tile on floor and blackout curtain was partially off rail, so unable to pull along completely. The table and bench seat in the room were chipped and stained. Had we been staying longer we'd have asked for a room change but it was just 1 night so just put up with the issues. Hope this is helpful feedback . Tables were not cleaned between occupants in the skybar, as ours was stained and sticky, even though it was a reservation and waiting on us.

Housestaff to check wardrobe as I had an old pizza in mine and bin in room wasn’t emptied

Large clean rooms with comfy beds.

Stained sheets let the whole experience down. Was very obvious staining and must have been seen by housekeeping.

Staff at check in were pleasant and helpful. Room was spotless,beds so comfortable.

Extremely tidy room and all staff were very helpful and so polite.

Staff were very friendly and really lovely. The hotel itself is very nice and insanely comfy beds, only negative was that there was still someone elses hair in my shower which made me feel like it hadnt been cleaned as thoroughly as youd like.

Hotel was spotless, staff friendly and helpful, excellent location for concerts. Will definitely stay again.

Food in restaurant is ok. Breakfast was disappointing. Room was on the 8th floor under the sky bar. Suggest you take ear plugs as the noise goes past midnight. Bass was so bad on Saturday night you could feel it in the bed. Room was ok. Very limited TV channels. Shower was good. First time at a Raddison had better expectations from it. Over all not that impressed for the money

Lovely room with a fab view of River Clyde, SECC, Hydro and beyond from the huge floor to ceiling window. Clean, well decorated with coffee machine and a fridge. Comfy bed. Shower room was modern with a great shower which was easily accessible. Only down point was the "carpet". Sore on bare feet and more like a caravan awning carpet. It was wrinkled and could have been a hazard. Obvious it had tried to be repaired as lots of staples at door edge. Staff friendly and helpful.

I had a great view from my room overlooking the Hydro, Finnieston Crane and River Clyde. Room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable and I slept really well. The AC in my room was fab. Overall an enjoyable stay. We weren't charged for parking which was great. I would recommend staying here. The Roof Bar has a great view overlooking the city.

Tidy with cool views however the carpet was damaged and the ceiling had some sort of stain all over it.

I was pleasantly surprised to be able to check in early, and my room offered a fantastic view, which I really appreciated. The room itself was comfortable, though the floors and walls had quite a few marks. There were no instructions provided for the Wi-Fi or TV, and unfortunately, both were initially out of service. I was grateful to be connected with someone who was able to improve the internet connection during my stay, but considering the cost of the room, I would expect these amenities to be fully functional from the start. If you plan to use the TV, it’s worth bringing a laptop and cables as a backup. The service in the restaurant was excellent—warm, attentive, and welcoming. However, the experience in the sky bar was quite different. The atmosphere there felt uninviting, and the staff seemed disengaged, which discouraged me from visiting more often during my stay. Overall, my stay was good

Room was clean and spacious with great views of the hydro arena.

Overall decent stay, rooms are very clean and spacious and glad i was able to get it for a cheaper than normal price. Service was excellent, staff were amazing. Just a few issues that drop the score a bit, shower made a hell of a noise when used, pipework within the walls rumbled which was a bit worrying and detered us from using the shower. Air con didnt work (error when turned on) so the room was roasting thru the night therefore not the most comfortable or restful night.

When you can’t sleep due to the noise level from the rooftop bar till 1 am for private functions nothing else matters shocking disregard for hotel guests. Avoid if you want to be able to get to sleep.

The staff were lovely and super friendly. We had a superior room and it was a spacious room and loved that it had a dining table in there. The bed cover was ripped at the top slightly when i first checked into the room but a quick call to the front desk and they had someone from housekeeping up to me in like 15minutes to change the cover. Overall 10/10 and would highly recommend.

Allocated a room 702 that was already occupied, fortunately the guests were out but as soon as we walked in and seen all their belongings were there. Reception staff member said “ sorry my bad “ . It could have been a lot worse but it made me anxious that someone could enter our room

The hotel was very good, I must say, however, that the staff make it. They are all so very friendly and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble.

Staff were friendly on the check in desk, no issues there . We weren’t told about reserving a table in the restaurants sadly ! We would have liked to dine as we were going to the hydro for a gig. We were just told no at both the sky bar and downstairs . We were actually told “well you could sit on a table for 15 minutes but then you would have to move ! There’s seats outside you can sit there!” … it was pouring with rain and it’s October in Scotland … maybe no hen! We found somewhere for food in the end but didn’t bother with breakfast as we didn’t want the same experience . The bathroom tiles were smashed too , not an issue for us but I reckon someone will complain at some point

The check in process was simple at first and the lady at reception was great but we did not have a very good experience for our first stay at this hotel. Firstly our room cards did not work and we could not access our room. Went back down to reception to have our cards re-activated and when we got to our room there was a half naked man in the room. This was a very awkward situation for us all and was an uncomfortable experience. The girl on reception was very apologetic and we were upgraded to a room with a better view and were given drinks on the house at the Sky Bar. Unsure if we will stay at the hotel again due to our experience but the staff were great in dealing with the situation.

I enjoyed the closeness to the Hydro and the views, bit out of the Centre but was still walkable if in shape.

Good sized room and bathroom. Comfortable and city centre is about a 30 minute walk from hotel. Hop on hop off bus departs near hotel.

Fantastic hotel! Staff very friendly and helpful, great views of the Clyde, ideal location of SECC & Hydro, Finnieston is a great spot for food and drinks.

Excellent proximity to ovo

Great location right next to the Hydro so if going for a concert it’s only 5 mins walk max so perfect! Clean and tidy and secure for solo travellers

Excellent stay at this hotel again. Good sized rooms. Good location especially for concerts at the OVO.

My booking had not been logged from hotels.com to the hotel There was no table available inthe restaurant at 4pm when it opened although it did not appear full The menu is poor with what I would describe as teenagers favourites

Clean comfortable room, good staff. 1st visit to this hotel, breakfast was a let down, wasn't told if it was table service or buffet, also replenishment of food was slow.

Hotel was great. Spacious room and walk in shower. Mattress excellent had a great sleep. Only downside and this may not be the hotels fault but the quality of the food in the sky bar was shocking. It was really bad party food. You could have ordered better out of Iceland.

I have not stayed in this hotel for about 18 months and the biggest change I noticed was at breakfast. Breakfast buffet items were not hot, milk was going sour on one of the mornings and I had to ask for it to be replaced. On another morning there were no bowls to pick up continental items.

Hotel was lovely , extremely clean. Restaurant was just awful service was shocking had to wait half an hour for a drink once ordered and only got once complained. Breakfast was really bad nothing out on the buffet and had to wait , loads of dirty tables had to wait for one to be cleaned once we asked . After paying over £300 for 1 night this was really quite poor

Had plenty of choice for breakfast The lady that was putting breakfast out was very helpful , she offered to make us fried eggs or poached eggs . She was really lovely and friendly .

Breakfast was very poor....Only cold bacon and potato scones in the buffet....No eggs or anything else in the buffet at 9am

Great room, great sky bar, great location...not so good restaurant. The pizza and the curry chicken rice dishes seemed lacking...limited flavour. And...the restaurant always seemed to need reservations regardless of the time. The location is super close to the event centres and we could easily walk up the Finnieston to a nearby store or the many pubs / restaurants on Argyle. Having the Hop On / Hop Off stop across the street was super useful...especially if you get the multi-day pass and want to use it to get you up the hill around dinner time or across town for some shopping.

Breakfast was slow when ordering the eggs, eaten breakfast before they came out 30mins and no black pudding. that's all. :)
