I loved the area the hotel was in. The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff was incredible nice! Only think is the dryers were out of order in the laundry and that was not communicated.

Great staff. Frustrating that they never have both lifts working but the staff makes up for it.

Cute rooms. But there was construction in the cafe/bar during our entire stay. I think Room2 should have let guests know about this prior to arrival.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, AC in the room, efficiency kitchen with sufficient cookware and dishes for up to four people. Bed was comfortable. It was writhin approximately a mile from the port. We had a car rental so didn’t walk much as we explored but saw there were nearby restaurants. Mall was nearby and was walkable. We went there for diner and there was a grocery near the mall. On our drive back to hotel saw closer grocery stores within walking distance from the hotel. We reserved a parking spot and I’m glad we did as street parking filled up quickly. The parking spots were small and the reserved parking filled up quickly too. The hotel drew a young, working crowd but it was still quiet.

Cute little boutique style hotel, only issue we had was the elevators, got stuck in it multiple times, took stairs afterwards as it was definitely a bit dodgy. Perfect location for someone going to the cruise lines, we walked it easily with bags, near the train station as well but would need to take a cab but only 6pds

Quick and easy check in. Very friendly staff. Close to our cruise terminal. Had trouble with the dryer, staff was very helpful, immediately started working on the problem. The only problem was having to run the dryer twice to get our clothes dry. Would stay here again.

This hotel is walking distance to the cruise port. Rooms were very large and clean. Loved the reception/cafe downstairs. On site laundry was great!!!!! Reese the evening manager was awesome.

Pro: Good communication, Fast check in and out, room a good size for families, having a small kitchen saved us a lot of time and money. Cool decor. Good heating and cooling. Parking was right by the front door. Very quiet. Lovely high ceilings, good blackout curtains. Good size TV. Comfy feather pillows. Cons: Very hard beds, no oven, not a lot in the kitchen to make meals, not enough bowls and mugs ect. Quite narrow and few car parking spaces. No food served in the evenings. Steps to the loft bed are very steep and not safe for children to use unsupervised

We usually love to stay at this property when we visit Southampton and Paulton’s Park but we were really shocked and upset to discover how badly the room was cleaned. There were food remnants still on table, pills on the floor (we have no clue if they were legal or illegal drugs), used contact on the floor. We have children and we were extremely concerned they could’ve picked it up and ingested it. The staff on site did their best to address the situation by vacuuming and said we’d be contacted by mgmt (which we never were). This was a lesson for us to be more vigilant in general but it’s ridiculous to us that this happened.

Rio was rude from the get go didn’t seem like he wanted to be there and bedding had marks on it and dirty sink

Do not book this hotel! I'm not sure how and why they have such high ratings. The hotel is smelly, dirty, and poorly maintained. Our room had such a strong moldy smell that we couldn't spend the night there. Based on the hotel reaction they were well aware of the problem. They booked us a much lower-quality room at a different hotel. Our family stayed at the hotel as well and while their rooms didn't smell as bad, they were all smelly and dirty. I've never seen such a difference between the rankings and reviews and the actual experience. Either the hotel is poorly maintained and changed over time or something very strange is going on.

The hotel was nice and to have a full kitchen was very good for stay with kids. My only and sad complaint is about the cleanliness. The room was not properly cleaned - dirty floor, next day after checking I left the room to be cleaned as the floor was so so dirty, very easily to see the dust that I still can’t believe it wasn’t cleaned!! but they didn’t clean the floor and the table. They just made a bed a cleaned the bathroom. I had a baby walking around- it was very bad.

Room was great. Cleanliness was good. But the restroom / shower area needs a better scrub. Cafe downstairs was convenient. Food was good. Overall it was okay for a night. But too much $$$$ for what it was.

Great location but definitely not the cleanest. There were stains in the cupboard under the sink, the grouting round the shower door was green and there were marks on the floor

Excellent hotel, great location clean safe quiet area, relaxing park just across the street. The room was incredibly charming with the upper loft, even though I didn’t use it, but it was still pretty cool. The bad super comfortable the room immaculately clean the bathroom in pristine condition. I will definitely stay here again and recommend this to people.

I had opted for 'pay at property' so it was a big surprise and I barely had enough money in my account for it as me and the other guests were going to split it when we arrived. The room wasnt ready when we arrived but they were very nice about it. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had tried to do the online check-in but there were so many different parts to it that I gave up on it twice. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom wasn't great. There were hairs in the bathroom, chewing gum on the ceiling above the top bed (so very close, easily visible), and the pillow cases didnt seem clean. Under the sofa hadnt been vacuumed in a while and the top bed was pretty awkward and uncomfortable.

The hotel was great. My only complaint is that the shower water was warm at best.

Upgraded to a suite, it was amazing. Big comfy bed, big space with sofa, table, massive tv, large shower room and kitchen area. The restaurant is lovely, the staff are so friendly and go above and beyond. We loved it and we will be back ❤️.

Unable to take shower in the morning. The handle that controls water temperature fell off in my hand. It was stuck in the position that was set to supply scalding hot water. There was also only hot water available at the sink, no matter what position it was placed in. When I mentioned this to the hotel desk, it was stated that this is a normal occurrence. No other statement or even a simple apology was given. This is our forth time staying at this hotel, and we will not be returning. This is a very expensive hotel in a great location, but is no longer worth the money.

The room is big and cosy. All little things have been thought of. We have a good sleep and the beds are comfortable. Also walking distance to the town centre and restaurants. The park next to it is a plus.

Wonderful hotel. Lovely large room, with a great view. Peaceful undisturbed night. Great location near the city & docks.

Room was good, breakfast had a great selection including gluten free toast. Only challenges were the shower head which we couldn’t get to stop dripping so we simply closed the bathroom door. Also, there was no convenient place to use the blow dryer near a mirror and desk.

Friendly welcome at check in, which was very easy. Great atmosphere in the hotel bar/restaurant. The room was exceptional; clean, open, and well laid out. Loved the mini kitchen too. It was very much a “Hone from Home” experience. I would definitely recommend, and I will definitely be booking next time I’m in Southampton.

I like overall👍 just problem was bed it was attached tow single bed to make King bed, so in night all the time bed got gap while sleeping.

Was really nice and clean. Staff were really helpful, enjoyed my stay, would stay again, quirky. Only complaint is the beds were a bit hard!

What a brilliant place! Fantastic room with additional sleeping area for our teen. Great to have cooking facilities and a dishwasher plus a dining table. Super long couch. Lovely view over a park. We will definitely stay again if we are in Southampton or in one of their other properties in the UK. Good value for money.

I liked the kitchenette. I didn't like that i asked for the down feather bedding to be removed. I have a respectory allergy to feathers. When I came back at the end of the day, the bedding had not been swapped out. I went downstairs to let the staff know. I was told I had to wait to another colleague to come in. At 10:00 pm, I went back downstairs to inquire. The person at the desk whom I talked to previously didn't remember my request. At this point I just asked to sheets. He asked someone to bring sheets to my room. I was given on sheet and slept on the sofa. I will not stay he again.

Courteous staff, efficient when getting us a taxi to the ship for our cruise. A great pre-cruise accommodation.

There were 24 of us , reserved 12 rooms but they didn’t have enough rooms available and 2 couples had to wait past 5 yet we see other people being checked in ahead .

Sadly this visit wasn’t as good as the last one. Couldn’t get into the room until a good hour after it was supposed to be ready. Then weren’t made to feel particularly welcome when my daughter sat in their lounge area to eat a cake she’d bought on the way (we weren’t in a restaurant?). Then the room had a sewage smell in the bathroom. But 3 of the staff we interacted with were excellent, just not consistent across the team. Two of them clearly didn’t want to be there or weren’t paying attention. It was hard to tell.

Extremely disappointed in our stay here - we had paid extra (and non-refundable in advance) for a Master type room and unfortunately our safe didn't work (it was obviously not in working order as all the batteries had been removed due to having had exploded and corroded into the safe), and the staff refused to give us a working safe or a different room, even though it was still early in the day. There was also no "Do Not Disturb" sign, so no way to tell staff not to disturb us while in the room. The room was also wheelchair accessible (which they gave us with absolutely no warning) with emergency red pull tags everywhere, low sinks, long bars and a chair in the shower, which we didn't need - that alone would have been fine, but it just made our stay even more strange. There was absolutely no desire to make things right or apologize, basically a "deal with it" attitude - I feel that they purposely gave us a less desirable room as I was traveling alone with my child. They did offer to keep all of our valuables in the manager's office, which seems a bit silly to offer when its the same manager that will do absolutely nothing to resolve your issues, yet will seemingly watch over your passport and valuables. Yha, a hard no on that one. It's bad enough that a mother traveling alone with her child is not given a room with a working safe or a "Do Not Disturb" sign, and that everyone at front desk now knows about it, and then ask to hold on to all your valuables.

Room2 was a great place to stay. The staff was very helpful in assisting us with checking in and preparing transportation to the cruise terminal. They made it as simple as asking. I’ll stay again if I return here in the future.

Great welcome, efficient and fast checking in and appealing lobby and restaurant. Room available early which was a bonus and Nat on Reception and The bar area was excellent. Really helpful and offering local advice.

Very convenient to the Docks. I was meeting someone arriving on an early ship. My "room" was more than that. I could live there happily- fridge, microwave, rings... all for a very reasonable price for "just" a room. Overlooking a nice park, only NEAR a busy road... not "on" it.

Great affordable hotel close to the water and cruise terminals. Short walk to ocean village which is a great marina district for walking and dining. Would highly recommended the hotel.

This was a very nice city center hotel. The proprietors were doing everything they could to make it a pleasant experience for us. It is very well located close to many of the historical parts of Southampton. Its location right across from the Queens Park meant that it was very quiet With very little road noise. we booked it thinking it was very close to the princess cruise lines dock. However, we discovered that princess has moved, at least for our trip, to the Mayflower cruise terminal.

Prime location, very nice room for 2 adults and 2 kids, walkable to city centre and walkable to ferry port.

Great location near Ocean Cruise dock 46...easy walk even with suitcases. A/C would go off randomly. Might have been motion activated. Loved having a kitchen with every thing we needed.

Great place to stay before catching cruise ship. Very close to huge selection of places to eat. Extra large room for cruise ship numbers of suitcases. I would definitely stay there again.

Really enjoyed our stay here, everyone was helpful and pleasant! Breakfast was available downstairs, good number of options at fair cost. Location great for dining options and was 10 minute walk to Ocean Cruise Terminal.

We enjoyed a complimentary upgrade to a larger room, staff were friendly and the cafe bar area was very nice with a delicious breakfast.

Outstanding and friendly staff! Great location in Southampton with easy access to restaurants and waterfront! Mimmy’s cafe was a plus for morning coffee and breakfast and also great happy hour! Most highly recommended and would definitely stay there again! 10 star rating!

Some opportunities check in was wonderful room is good for budget traveller's. The breakfast option i wouldn't take it staff there are confused slow service wrong order abd generally terribly. Walk own down the road to the local bistro much better option.

The hotel was clean and comfortable but the availability of food and drink in general was terrible. Almost everything was sold out or not available. Although the front of house staff were very accommodating and apologetic, (which wasnt their fault), I would not stay for breakfast again or get food at the hotel as the lack of choice was shocking, a member of staff offered to make something off menu which while this was extremely kind, should not have happened to begin with (also poached eggs for £7 is a shocking price!) Bed was comfortable and the kitchen in room was great but I'd say this was a hotel room with self-catering options rather than a bed and breakfast type place. I'd stay again for the bed but definitely not the breakfast.

Very friendly and accommodating team at Room2. Nice atmosphere and the pastries are sone of the best I’ve ever had. I’d come back for those alone. 😋😋

Clean, efficiency apartment with kitchen/utensils. Street was noisy at night. There were no convenient electric outlets near the vanity mirror. Only pizza was served in restaurant. The sack breakfast was adequate and delivered to the door by 6:30 am. The last day of our stay, there was no breakfast delivered.

Overall, a great pre/post cruise stay. Breakfast was included for our stay and there was a nice selection on the menu including gluten free bread. The only observation is with the staffing in the restaurant at breakfast. It was unorganized and a little slow.

Excellent room, but tried to have breakfast on Sunday morning half the menu had eggs in it but they had ran out of eggs.

Staff friendly helpful and accommodating. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Room comfortable and clean. Very good breakfast in lovely surroundings

Very large comfortable room with kitchen facilities. Very clean everywhere. The Winnie’s cafe was a real bonus. A very relaxing space and a great breakfast choice. All the staff were pleasant and very helpful. Highly recommended. Only ten minutes walk to the Ocean Cruise Terminal too.
