Not a high dollar fancy hotel, but was quick, easy, and clean with a good price. Everything in the room worked well, and parking was right in front of the door to my room. Hotel was also easy to find, and get in and out of, with shopping, fuel, and food close by.

Breakfast was good with many options room was clean but had a heavy smell of smoke which made it difficult.staff was great. The handicap room we had was not very user friendly. The shower stool had no back, there was no hand held shower sprayer which handicap people need. Invest $100 and it would have been much nicer.

Very happy with our stay: room was VERY clean, bathroom was SPOTLESS. Nice larger size mini fridge with freezer. We rolled in late- after 2:30 am after driving for 10 hours. The front desk guy was sleepy but very friendly and did not give us attitude for arriving so late. Complimentary breakfast was a waffle maker, coffee with real milk, bottled juices and assorted packaged pastries, and apples and oranges- better than I would have expected for a budget motel. They are rally making an effort to make this place a good stay. Highly recommended- I would stay there again .

Outside of the building looks a little “shady” but the rooms were very clean. They recently renovated the bathrooms! Staff was very kind.

Beds were disgusting bedding had not been changed in a long time human hair dog hair spots of I don't care to know on the sheets and pillows. They did apologize and put new bedding on. If you can stand the smoky bar smell and don't mind who's juices you lay in then this is the place for you

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The gentleman that checked us in was very professional, knowledgable and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. It waa more like a studio apt, definitely a great deal for the price. The breakfast exceeded our expectations with myltiple hot and cold options. Will definitely recommend to anyone staying in the Vandalia, IL area.

Been driving? Need a no frills place to crash? This meets all of your needs and none you don’t. The front side of the property has had its rooms redone. They are clean, smoke smell free, quiet and comfortable but no frills. Oh and good shower! If you accidentally go to the back side well, there are unnumbered rooms, some rooms with open doors (but no obvious occupants). I’ll assume they are upgrading the rooms as they can. All in all a good value for the basics.

Motel was a very good value for the price. Room interior was newly remodeled, new big screen tv, flooring all new, bathroom be wall tile & fixtures. Lots of electrical outlets for my work. Had all the features I look for. Saved in my GPS for future work travel.

Again here posting because the service here is amazing! The front desk guy is a huge sweetheart and u can tell he loves what he does maybe owner? I am not sure but he cares he listened to me vent not once but twice about my life and didn't judge me. The room was amazing the bathroom looked brand new can def tell they have been doing some remodels on the place and it looks fantastic cheap price hotel and clean and great service made a girl happy thanks again my guy u are def amazing keep up your good work

I just want to leave a HUGE SHOUT OUT to the owner or ever was working on September 26th, 2025 bc they were execeptional and truly made us feel like we were friends or family. We were traveling over night bc my husbands father was in the ICU and he offered us 2 queen beds instead of just the king that we had reserved! Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Clean room with basic essentials. Breakfast was enough to grab a bite of oatmeal, cereal, fruit, juice or coffee and heat on your way. Service was fast and friendly. I'd recommend staying here. Cleanliness was good, bed comfortable

This place was adequate for my one night stay over on the way to somewhere else. The room was clean and the plumbing worked. Breakfast is nothing to write home about. No place nearby that I wanted to eat and no real grocery store in town, but there are some options in the downtown area. I was expecting better given the traveler rating that this place had. I would read it a five out of 10.

Only weird thing was no shampoo in the showers. It’s possible they had it at the front desk. I didn’t ask. Other than that, great value place. Right off the freeway. Plenty of good options right there. Very clean and staff was very friendly. Great value stay for sure.

Use this hotel. Make it a point to talk to the owner. He is a nice, hard working man who is remodeling this aging hotel as he can afford to. His efforts are obvious in the cleanliness of the rooms and the check in office. We stayed one night as we were passing thru on our way south. It was perfect for what we needed.

We were disappointed .. no breakfast.. one reason we picked it over another was so we could get on the road faster next morning and have breakfast taken care of. So having to buy breakfast … didn’t save us anything.
