The hotel only gives one spot for parking. Many families were upset with trying to find additional parking. If you moved your car and tried to come home in evening you were not guaranteed parking even though you had to pay for it. The new building was very clean.

My family and I had a great stay! The hotel was perfect for us. Convenient location. Breakfast was a plus. Very dog friendly. And the room was good despite not having a microwave. The two pools were also great although the indoor pool was just as cold as the outdoor pool.

Right on the boardwalk/beach. We enjoyed the partial ocean view room with balcony. There are two buildings. We stayed in the one right off the boardwalk. The other building is right across the street and also has a pool. We parked at the other building one night after coming back from dinner and there were no spots under our building. No big deal. Boys 9 and 7 loved the pool. I liked that the indoor pool opens right into the outdoor pool. The pool bar was a nice plus. We also had the breakfast daily. Breakfast was early. It ends at 9:30am so it forced us to start our day early. Nothing to rave about. They had eggs, sausage, bagels, toast, juice coffee. They had oatmeal and yogurt so that was enough for me. Kids had their fill of orange juice. Hotel was clean, great location, nice pool, rinse area before entering hotel was great. Nice to be able to get the sand off. We walked out twice for dinner. And I need to mention the water pressure of the shower. I will come back for the shower pressure! I have to mention that this visit was much much better than our visit here two years ago at the Howard Johnson. Will come back again!

We had a lovely time at our 3-day stay. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and different each day. Facilities were clean. House keeping was done seamlessly. The only issue was our concern for parking as we always had to wait for a spot and we were lucky that people were coming and going often to get a spot. On the final day, one of the two elevators was out of service and that made checking out difficult as we had to wait nearly 10 mins for a ride downstairs and had to do multiple trips.

I have breathing issues and elevator was out on Thursday night and Friday during day. Wi-Fi was out and refrigerator was froze up and running warm. Had a horrendous first day. View is absolutely stunning. We were also charged for breakfast which was supposed to be free. Not sure about returning

I like the hotels proximity to the beach. The hotel staff was friendly enough, but I will not be back the lobby and elevators smelled like cat litter with a hint of cleaning solution. The elevator situation is absolutely unacceptable. It would take 15 minutes just for the elevators to be clear enough for you to go up or down. There were only two for the entire hotel.

I'm not if i would stay here again. When i checked in i was charged for parking which was 10 dollars per day of which was a waste of money due to the fact i could not park there because every space was taken so i parked on the street. When i got to the room it was not ocean front, when i contacted the front desk they stated since i booked on expedia this is what was available So i then paid the upgrade which was 40 per night which was 120 in total. The new room had a problem with the A/c and it would not turn off. It was cold at night so i was freezing. The maintenence guy came and stated that the turn off was not working so he closed the vents. He did offer a room change but it was my last night and i decided to continue to tiff it out. However, the breakfast was decent and the building was cleaned.

The room we were assigned was apparently the only one in the specific type we booked. Upon arriving we can see the hallways were very dirty, our room looked ok at first glance. Once making ourselves comfortable we noticed how dirty the balcony was, visible food on the ground, some dust on furniture and to top it off there was a used razor in the shower and a short hair on the hand towel by the sink. For the price we paid over $500 a night after the 4th of July we deserved better. The shower head was rusted and old looking, the water pressure was painful and does not have an option to adjust at all. Im a frequent OC visitor and my first time here sadly it will be my last.

I didn't like that the room had a smell. I was given air freshener the first night. The second night after complaining they did come pour something in the drain and apologized. The smell disappeared after that. I just feel like they should've looked into the issue the 1st night.

We had a terrible experience there was bugs on the floor to start and then our ac broke we had blood wiped in the wall no micro wave in the room the fridge didn’t work right it was just a mess the whole trip!

Overall our stay was excellent. We booked a 2 queen oceanfront which was directly on the boardwalk. Awesome ocean view. The front desk and housekeeping staff were excellent. I was surprised however that there was no microwave in the room, and no fan in the bathroom.

Beautiful hotel. Had a room with a balcony that looked out to the ocean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Went at a time when there were no crowds. 3 concerns: 1. Wish there was a microwave in the room. 2. The bathroom sink didn’t supply hot water - warm or cold. Shower was hot and powerful, which was more important. 3. We heard a small beeping noise periodically and couldn’t place where it was coming from. My wife was bothered by it, and it interrupted her sleeping one night. I heard it a couple of times during the day.

Beds were great. Nice balcony, view, and furniture on the balcony. Bathroom was spacious and excellent water pressure. Issue was parking. Tight and not enough spaces for every room to have one car parked in the parking garage. People have to park up the street and walk. I had a walker, was sick, and we were hurrying from this additional lot to the hotel. It was very windy, cold, and starting to drizzle. Wasn’t pleasant. The additional parking lot by the hotel belongs to the Courtyard by Marriott down the street. The Hyatts additional lot was by the Courtyard by Marriott. Bad enough to have dismal parking but both hotels should swap additional lots so both can have lots closest to their hotels. And Hyatt is building another hotel across the street. I assume these additional rooms will also be fighting for parking in the lot as well. One more note… I ADORE dogs. But there were rooms on the first floor where we were that had dogs parking constantly and children running up and down the halls. We love this Hyatt but those issues have us rethinking our stay in OC, MD next fall.

Hyatt Place Ocean City MD is an all around excellent property. Everyone from the front desk staff (especially Christian) to housekeeping, breakfast and pool bar staff makes you feel welcomed. The hotel is exceptionally clean with comfortable rooms. Included breakfast is also very good. Highly recommended.

I first encountered Christian over a phone call. He was very kind and when I met him in person, he was very accommodating. Great employee also had a chance to meet Toni and Rodrigo and Francis. Great great employees.. during my stay they had some type of massive water leak the hotel was being pulled apart, but even with that they did their very best accommodate and keep everything neat and clean. I must say great job . Thank you the room was clean. Beds were comfortable great Ocean view. Thank you :)

The property was mostly good. But they put us in their "new" addition which was a hotel across the street not on the beach and away from their main pool area. We had to walk across a busy street repetitively. My 8 year old son almost got hit by a car. Our room was on the 3rd floor and the hallway smelled like a nursing home with a heavy urine scent. Our actual room was ok but the shower door was broken. When we went to the front desk to request a different room the staff said they could maybe help us with that on sunday (we arrived on friday). We just wanted a room in their main building where we had stayed before and had a great experience which would not involve crossing a busy street. The staff wasn't nice or accomodating. The hotel is relatively clean and has potential if the staff tried harder. Sunday came and went and they didn't check in with us about moving our room. We left Monday.

Nice place on the board walk. Clean room, plenty of water pressure in the shower, and an amazing view if you opt for the ocean front room. This was the nicest room in ocean city, on the boardwalk, that I’ve stayed at. Will be back for sure. Staff was professional and courteous. Breakfast was nice and there’s also a Starbucks a block away.

Good location along boardwalk. Restaurants nearby. Hotel itself was lovely. We were in the small building across the street. Everything seemed new.. Very clean. Bed and pillows were good. I liked the hardwood floors as opposed to carpeting. Towels were thick and fluffy.

Perfect location right on the boardwalk, walking distance to the downtown area and all the attractions. 10 minute drive to grocery stores and the outlet. Breakfast included and pet friendly. Parking is a bit difficult, tight spaces and hard to get an open spot, but there is additional parking across the street.

This hotel was nice. Had great views, nice beds, staff, and the breakfast was amazing. A few minor issues were the low water pressure, hard to navigate channels using the TV remote, and the indoor pool wasn't heated the day we went (I heard from other guests that it typically is so not a normal issue) . Although there wasn't room service, there were good/fast options for Door Dash and Uber Eats. The reception staff would call our room when the food was available for pickup at the desk. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come again. Looking forward to seeing the renovations when they are completed.

After second night stay got up for breakfast was 7:45am, a hour and 15 minutes after it opened hot food stations were empty, no plates, and no silverware other than butter knives to eat with. We waited for 15-20 minutes and saw no staff and left! We checked out early so we could find somewhere to eat breakfast and notified the front desk about our disappointment and she said they were short staffed. Unfortunately this is a common excuse for poor customer service!!!

We have stayed at this hotel for the past few years and LOVED it! This trip was VERY disappointing. When we checked in we found out that parking is now $10/day and the breakfast that use to be included is now $11/person per day. We went down to breakfast to find there was no food to be had. Everything was gone and everyone was standing around waiting. We were so disappointed we just left and went to a regular restaurant for breakfast. Next year we will be finding another hotel for our stay.

I didn't know about the room fee. Staff was ok, beds comfortable, shower was nice, the glass doors could be cleaned better. View from balcony was great. The pool could use some fresh paint. Many stores and restaurants near by but this time of year not many places open. Now I have to say the breakfast was very unpleasant, eggs, bread and coffee were good, everything else was gross, French toast cold and burnt, fruit was not fresh and turning brown. No utensils and no staff to help. No hot water for tea and hot chocolate.

Overall I liked the property, the location, and the staff. The room was clean and we had great cleaning service. The front desk people were incredibly helpful and the breakfast was well priced and had good continental options. The things I didn’t like were our toilet wasn’t cleaned when we arrived which was kind of disgusting, the elevators TRULY TAKE FOREVER to get there and are probably on their last breath of life, parking is okay but limited in the building you stay in, and finally, the pool was clean but the walls of the pool were brown.

Breakfast needs improvement. Bacon non existent, fruit salad was frozen or from a jar. The oatmeal was good with all the trimmings. Bed was comfortable, shower was great, balcony overlooking boardwalk clean and comfortable. Hallways are drab. I’d call this an ok experience.

Large widows in our floor hallway looked pretty dirty. Indoor pool water looked very dirty, did not use it. Breakfast was really bad, they serve spoiled fruits and very low quality bagels, pancakes, etc.
