This hotel is terrible. I got there right before midnight and nobody was answering the door. I was able to get in because one of the guests got there a few minutes later. I fund in the morning a used bandaid under the bed, a death crocarach in the aile before my door, the swimming pool had green algue. If I happen to see this before I go to sleep I could had asked them to clean before I sleep there.

We tried to check in early, and provided a phone number to be called once our room became available, since we've been driving all night to visit Alabama for the first time. We were greatly disappointed by the lack of courtesy. Every time we've ever attempted to check in early, a hotel will accommodate us, but this hotel failed to go the extra step in customer accommodations. If the room is clean and available, it makes all of the difference to provide it to your valued customers. I chose this location specifically because its apart of the Hilton brand. Staff was very friendly, but i was not amazed by them. Hidden fees are also not appreciated. $15 parking fee? Seriously, i checked the box for continental breakfast and you're telling me i have to pay extra to park my vehicle on your lot. Nobody respects a leach. Be upfront with etra charges. Gym was great, thank you for the large equipment variety and the cold water dispenser.

Very pleased with our stay. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The parking was easy and since we were there for an appt at UAB, the location was perfect. We ate at their restaurant, surprised it was reasonably priced. Would definitely stay again.

Rooms were dirty, staff was rude except one gentleman who was very friendly and helpful. Several items were missing in the room or completely broken. Primarily chose this hotel over all the others because it had a pool, the pool just happened to be closed because of “too many chemicals” and it was super cloudy. I could’ve chosen any other hotel in the area that probably would’ve been nicer, as that wouldn’t have been hard to do and half the price. Will never stay here again.

Easy to find. Front desk was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good, plenty to offer. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable but there were some short hairs in the shower. One of their fees is $15 for parking. There were not enough spaces in the lot when we stayed. There was a semi, a truck towing a vehicle and a commercial truck taking up spaces. We ended up parking directly in front of the hotel. They said it was okay. I would stay here again.

The hotel had a different concept than anything I had ever seen. It had a common entrance for a Hilton Garden Inn and a Home 2 Suites. They had separate check in stands. The Home 2 Suites had one of the roomiest facilities that I had ever stayed in. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. They also had a complimentary breakfast. I will definitely consider staying at Home 2 Suites on any of my future travels.

The hotel is very nice and MOST of the staff is very friendly (not the kitchen staff). But that’s where the positives end. The entry and bathroom floor were covered in something slippery (like soap had been spilled and not cleaned up) and my son and I both almost slipped down as we walked into the room. And we are both athletic type people. If it had been someone elderly with less balance they probably would have slipped down. It was that bad. They came and cleaned it up very quickly but when I say “cleaned” I mean got the slippery stuff off the floor. Every little hair and dust bunny that had been under the bathroom vanity for years also got stirred up and pushed all around the bathroom floor with the mop water. I don’t think mopping the tile floors is something they do very often. The headboards are vinyl material and mine had something dark and gross looking on it in several places that I cleaned with Clorox wipes. And the day we got to the hotel there was some sort of pool party that appeared to be people not even staying at the hotel bc they were walking up to the outside gate from all around the street. Why is there even a gate to access the pool from the street?? It was so crowded my son and I couldn’t get in the pool and that was our only day we could have gone swimming. Also, they charge $20 per day for parking and they don’t tell you that up front. I will not ever stay here again.

Check in was a breeze. The room is large. The pull out couch is a joke. The mattress in it was ripped and falling apart. The actual bed themselves weren’t terrible but not great. We just ignored the stains all over and pretended it was ok 😭 The room itself was dirty. I’m talking stains everywhere. Dead bugs. Hair all over. A dirty q-tip. Mold in the bathroom in the sink and shower. Who knows what all over the back of the toilet. The location is good if you’re wanting to be downtown. The tv, almost forgot about that gem. It was BLUE. Like the whole thing had a blue tint. Grass looked blue, so we just didn’t bother turning it on again. Which is somewhat challenging with a toddler but we figured it out. We didn’t even bother with breakfast because there was way too many people already. OMG I forgot we had a little suite thing. The drawer had 1 fork and 4 knives 😂 but the spatula/turner? Literally caked in moldy old food.

Room was not cleaned properly. Old soap still in the shower and floors looked dirty. Expressed concerns to front desk immediately and asked for new room but they could not help. It was so bad we checked back out. Was told at the desk we could get refund but still haven’t seen that yet!

It's a beautiful hotel but for the six days that I stayed there the carpets in the hallways leading to my room were not vacuumed. The same little trash and dirt was on the carpet for the six days that I was there.

The staff was very nice upon arrival. We booked a king suite and it was spacious and had well appointed amenities. The floor had a few noticeable sticky spots where something had spilled in the kitchen area. The hubs and I were super tired as we drive 6 hours to Alabama each month for a child we are adopting. We barely slept. The mattress is sub par and the pillows are absolutely horrendous to sleep on, so flat. The manager should stay a night in the room to see if the mattress and pillows are up to Hilton standards. Suite 352 8/25/24.

They only had 2pillows on the bed I called front desk and asked for 2 more she said they are out. It just was not a comfortable stay especially for $228 it was not worth it. I will never be back. I stay with Home2 Suites everytime my husband and I come to Birmingham. This time we got a room that had a hard bed totally uncomfortable the pillows were flat and not worth laying anyone's head up on. We were a little disappointed this time. I told the lady when we were leaving about our experience with the bed and her response was well next time tell us if we you that room you don't want that one....Really? I may shop around instead how about that?

The room was spacious with a lot of storage if you needed it for an extended stay. The pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable and noisy. The walls or pretty thin so I could hear the neighbors video game at 5am. However, good location and next to a nice park.

Helpful, friendly staff. I wish that the parking area were at least somewhat gated or guarded. The room was comfortable but when people move furniture above you, it’s very loud because of the vinyl flooring. Very convenient to UAB, which is why we stayed there. Breakfast is good, but they need options for diabetics. It’s mostly cereal, pastries, bagels, grits, fruit. Even a big bowl of eggs would help. Would stay there again.

We usually stay here when in Birmingham and never have a problem. We checked in after 5pm and they did not have a room ready. Then when we got to the room no toilet tissue. We asked and still no one could find any. No apology was given just kept saying the supply truck was late.

I drove in to Birmingham for work. Usually there is an ability to check in early. I wasn’t able to, which is fine. But the front desk staff were very uninterested in helping. That night after working 14 hours outside at a festival. I went to my room. Got in bed. At about 3:30am I realized I had bugs crawling on me. Killed them, flushed them. Decided to go back to bed. When I woke up and went to shower more bugs in the bathroom and a yellow liquid had dropped all over my clothes from the exhaust vent. I showed a hospitality worker, and they were shocked. Went to the front desk and they didn’t care. I asked for a manager, I was told there was no manager until Monday but a supervisor would call. No calls, no messages. They kept telling me a manager wasn’t there, and never responded almost 4 days later. Expedia won’t refund me, and the property is still avoiding me. I paid 306.00 for a room that was worse than a 109.00 motel I stayed at outside of nashville. Terrible hotel and staff.

Overall the property looks nice. I was disappointed I started trying to contact the hotel at 6:30 am to see about early check in. No response and no one answered the phone. When we got there at 1 pm I was told there were no rooms currently ready but in 30minutes to an hour if not sooner the room would be ready. So we came in to swim while we waited (me, my husband, mom, 4 year old and 11 month old) it was 2.5 hours later and asking 5 times. Each time I was told it would be ready within minutes. Both my children were exhausted and that was very frustrating. I wish they had just been honest and told me the room would not be ready early because I would have taken my children somewhere else that would have been easier to entertain them for that long of a period.

Check in was not available at 4 as stated. We had a special event to get ready for and was late to the event due to housekeeping not having rooms ready. It was hard to get a manager down to speak to about issue, had to call them twice and she was very nice when she came down. Rooms should be ready by checkin time. No exceptions. When we left for event at 5::20 housekeepers were in halls laughing and carrying on outside rooms. Staff was nice but this should not happen.

This is the third hotel I’ve stayed in while visiting Birmingham and so far it has been my favorite. I now have a child attending UAB and will be visiting more often. Everything was so clean. Cody checked me in and was so nice and accommodating. I was comfortable the entire stay and will stay here from now on. An added bonus is that is us a 5 minute walk to the UAB campus.

Check in was a breeze and the greeting was warm and friendly. The hotel was new and very nice. Breakfast was very good and a great selection. However, the bar and kitchen staff were overwhelmed by only a few customers at night. I went down to grab a bite to eat at the bar and it was over an hour to get a chicken sandwich and fries. Both are a five minute deep fryer cook. The bar staff really needs to be able to multi-task making a couple drinks at a time. Even a simple smile and greeting to customers that sit down at the bar or a "I\'ll be right with you" goes a long way. But not after they have been sitting there for 10 minutes. Take the blinders off and welcome your customers.

Everything is great so far but Breakfast was a complete mess this morning. Ran out of almost everything including coffee! Nobody in the area to ask about putting out just some more cereal but nobody until 10 minutes before they closed and that’s all she was interested in doing, closing the gates. Disappointed in that.

The room smelled like someone had recently smoked pot. The price for the night was higher than I thought it should be for what you got. The breakfast was super bad and they constantly had employees asking what room we were in. I guess they have people coming in from off the street to get food? But I’m not sure why it was not a good selection at all.

After a 2-hour wait to get into the room, in spite of having reservations & arriving after 4 PM, the hotel staff left a bit to be desired. The desk clerk had a bad attitude (her cell phone time was interrupted), and the bar/restaurant employee ignored us until we inquired about who was working in the area. Turned out that she was the bartender but restaurant closed due to no cook.

Stay was for family member having procedure at UAB. Hotel was clean and most staff was polite. Very disappointing that on site restaurant was closed during stay, as that was one of the reasons hotel was chosen. Also lady at breakfast was rude to many guests on multiple days. Not a good spokesperson for hotel
