Super cute hotel with eco-friendly vibe. Front desk staff was extremely friendly and very helpful with local recommendations. Hotel felt safe as both sets of exterior doors lock overnight and there is a full-time security person outside during the day. Location is highly walkable and felt like it was in a safe area. The restaurant attached to the hotel looked nice and offers breakfast and dinner. Free filtered water machines are available on every floor which is eco-friendly and great for staying hydrated after a day of walking around the area. It’s worth noting that housekeeping only does full room cleaning upon request and with 24 hours notice, but the the front desk notifies you of this upon arrival and asks in advance if you want housekeeping. I will be staying here next time I come to Portland.

Overall great experience. All staff were amazing, friendly and very attentive. The hotels are a good size (compared to the downtown hotel I originally booked at). Wish there was a pool!! Neighborhood felt safe to walk around with our dog. Valet parking is steep pricing like all the other hotels but I look at it as insurance against your car getting broken into as we confirmed it was a secured lot. Valet was also quick and we were left waiting around for a car as you can text ahead to get your car by a certain time. There wasn’t a lot of breakfast options in the area due to the holidays but I found the hotel restaurant to be good food and very reasonably priced. Thanks for the great stay! The staff made the experience all the better :)

Great front desk staff. The hotel itself isn’t great on the cleanliness front. First room, had issues with the shower, there was a large clump of hair. Changed rooms, second room also had hair in the shower, and a half eaten bag of chip left in the cabinet. Restaurant food was good, but the staff seemed to be undertrained on the menu and how to serve the few customers in there. Overall they need to improve the properties cleanliness

Overall pretty good. Comfortable bed. Nice shower. On the other hand there were a lot of external noises in the morning disturbing sleep. Not sure if it was from tv’s in adjoining rooms or what. At 7:30 am there was a fast thumping noise that lasted 25 minutes. Also, a little standing dust on surface of coffee service area and bathroom.

The hotel is EXTREMELY not clean. There were bed bugs on our mattress and I got bitten badly. After we examined the mattress, we also noticed a huge stain at the end of the bed, couldn't tell if it's coffee or blood. The front desk assistant manager Sage was helpful in that she helped us get our payment back and moved us to the Hampton Court hotel next door after we reported the bed bug issue. But still--I have never lived in a hotel where there were bedbugs, even in motels that are $50 dollars a night. Imagine how irresponsible this hotel is--giving dirty mattress and bed bugs to customers, which forced us to sanitize all our stuff to avoid brining bed bugs home. It's not only hurting me physically, as I am having serious allergic reactions to the bites, but also huge time cost in cleaning and moving around. Also, the hotel is next to a park, which is basically a homeless camp.

We requested the front desk to contact the hotel manager, but we never could get hold of that person. I wish I could get my money back.

The hotel was nice and staff were very helpful and accommodating. I loved that they had a bar/ restaurant on the lobby floor, and that each floor had water filling stations and ice machines (although the ice machine in my floor was broken). The room was clean for the most part, the floors needed more attention but I’d rather have clean sheets than floors. The shower floor had very obvious long black hairs, which made me question the cleanliness of the rest of the room. This was my biggest negative. The area around the hotel is ok, a lot of homeless and drug use, walking the streets was not the best experience, especially approaching dusk.

The double queen rooms look directily into adjacent building. Some single queen and king have views. Sliding bathroom door doesn't easily close and stay closed all the way and separate sink/bathroom door closes off exit from room . Very friendly staff

Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Modern Rooms. Location is nice - Close to many restaurants, all walkable distance. The only downside is that the walls are incredibly thin. I must have been in a room next to a couple who newly found "love" . It sounded like the bed was going to come through the walls 4 times that night! I also heard every whisper, moan and slap the two engaged in while in the throws of passion. - Good for them!

The hotel is visually appealing, featuring a lovely rooftop and spacious rooms. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the ability to check in and out via the mobile app added a convenient, modern touch. However, the absence of daily room cleaning was disappointing. On a positive note, the hotel is located in a safe neighborhood During our stay in Oregon, it was raining, and we requested umbrellas—an amenity commonly available at other Hilton properties—but were informed that all umbrellas were currently in use and unavailable. While there were some highlights, I’m unlikely to stay at another Hilton Canopy location in the future

Late-evening checkin agent very pleasant and accommodating. Valet service for car a plus. The fact it was 1/3 the price of the room is a bit extreme. Surrounding area is sketchy with homeless on the street down the block. I'm not comfortable walking the streets in Portland at night. Room smells of mildew due to a leak in a service area across from the room where there is a fan placed in front of the open water stained cabinet which is blowing smelly air under the threshold of the room. Noisy refrigerator. Drapes unhooked aprox one foot at each end so they are hanging. Bathroom simple, shower basin looks yellowed from age or wear. Nice Apothek amenities, but very limited. Sheets are average probably 300TC poly cotton blend - basic hotel sheets.

Beautiful property with a lot of wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Great hospitality, easy valet, friendly front desk staff and bartending/baristas. If you're up for a longer jaunt, check out the Nob Hill district just about a 20 minute walk too. The only thing we had issue with is noise at night - both from the street below and what seem to be thin walls between rooms (or just noisy neighbors). Otherwise, the best time. Everyone on tge staff here was absolutely incredible! This is the best stay we've been in in a long time, and that's saying a lot since we travel often. The location was great and super walkable, and the bed was so comfortable that my partner and I will be ordering it. Thanks you, Staff at Canopy! You made our stay truly wonderful.

The staff is always so friendly. This is my third time staying here and this time it was for a staycation. It never disappoints. The staff is wonderful, the food is always good, and the rooms are clean. My only downside is the nightly valet price is quite high. Outside of that, I always enjoy my stay.

The front desk lady made me wait for over half an hour standing there to check out. She was rude and said she had 4 other checkouts before me and the system was slow. I said here, take my key cards, I'm leaving. She told me I would get checked out sooner or later. WOW. I just wanted to see my receipt before I left but I didn't want to stand there all day. Also no parking except valet, very expensive. I would not stay there again.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. What really made my visit was the team! Sage, Neko, and others at the front desk were kind and welcoming! I had three dinners with Noah and Zack in the bar. Both very friendly and entertaining. Zack is a great chef. Everything was very fresh and delicious. The team obviously takes pride in the property and the experience they provide. This is my new go to when I'm in Portland.

The hotel was understaffed. The room was not cleaned until late in the afternoon and only after requesting several times. Breakfast in the morning was a fiasco. Free coffee and cups were gone by 8 am and to place an order for food or specialty drinks took 40 minutes. Only two people were working so it was not their fault. But for a hotel this is unacceptable and for what we paid for we were insulted.

Nice rooms, valet never came out to get our car - had to park and come in. No one working at the coffee bar during operating hours. Didn't ask about our stay, didn't offer to help my friend who had several boxes - pointed to the trolley. Girl at the check out this morning was not very friendly - no smiling at all. We stay in downtown Portland every year - for 15 years plus now. We won't be coming back here again sadly.

We stayed here before embarking on a two day train trip from Portland Union Station. Great location. Good coffee and restaurants nearby. We love the neighborhood but be prepared to walk past unhoused people if you come through old town area. Hotel was great. Friendly, clean, new. Great public transportation

It was pretty swanky, but the location was not the best . However we did walk to some nice trendy restaurants and pubs. Powels book store is walkable. There is an awesome pastry shop just around the corner. The bad part was the parking lot across the street, the locals used it as a brothel and toilet. It was pretty entertaining watching from our room window.

I had a wonderful stay at Canopy in the pearl district. The hotel had a great vibe and was was relaxing. I loved hanging out at the bar and the bartender Chuck was the best! He's very nice and knowledgeable about local restaurants to visit. He made us some of the best drinks i have had.

The property is secure and well located. The staff is very helpful. The breakfast arrangement needs rethinking. A very limited menu with no service. Stand in line and wait to order and the cooking facilities are not impressive. The staff works to overcome the physical facilities.
