This place is beautiful on the inside!!! From the outside, you wouldn’t even know that it was a hotel. Looks like a random building from the outside but man! Only thing that was inconvenient was the parking situation. The parking closest to the hotel was not owned by the hotel and you ran the risk of gettin towed if you parked there without paying $20, which isn’t to bad BUT the machine to pay was broken and there was no way to pay, so you were really taking a gamble. There was 13 dollar parking across the street but it’s really no good if you come back from a night of partying and have to make your way across Canal St. lol The Valet was $39 dollars and they parked your car in the EXACT same spot as the $13 parking.

Parking is crazy expensive, but I did know this going there. *(sidenote: if you use the parking lot “separately” from hotel, you only pay half price. It’s the same parking lot the hotel uses and they monitor it anyways for hotel people. You’re not “guaranteed” a spot from hotel they say, but if you park and don’t move it and take trolley everywhere, like we did, you don’t have to worry about that.). Front ladies were very nice. Valet and male bartender upstarts on roof top, we’re not happy about their jobs. First room had broken tv and blind, so we had to move which sucked. Double check things before you unpack lol. Bed was comfy enough and pillows. Breakfast was very good every morning. Grab extra snacks if need be. Bar was a little over priced. It knew that going in anyways. Def take trolley to the French quarter. They were so happy and easy going.

Outside of property very dirty, our room smelled, a lot of noise coming from outside thru the windows, staff not welcoming. The parking was such an inconvenience! It was freezing cold and we had to walk way down the street for property parking ,which was an extra fee! No free parking

The hotel was very good - big room and clean. The staff was generally helpful with a few who weren't. The biggest drawback was parking. The valet was expensive $39? per day but the alternative was a self-park $24?/day . it was described as two blocks away and down the street, Given the area, the valet fee felt more like an insurance policy.

I think what was unique was the bar and workout facility as well as the rooftop patio all on the 14th floor. Very nice and we utilized it often and throughout the week. The property was clean and the staff was excellent however the location is not ideal. It’s noisy and the area is below average. We had a great time overall, four star experience.

The room accommodations were very basic. The queen beds felt more like full size beds with simple sheets and a simple bed cover. The lounge chair in the room was old and dirty. There wasn't a closet to store clothing and luggage away but rather a standard sized armoire. The views from the room were nice and there was a good breakfast selection. The property was allegedly pet friendly but there was no grass anywhere in the surrounding area to accommodate walking a dog. The property was in the downtown area where there is no grass. I think they said pet friendly just to reel in more paying cutomers to the hotel. The $40+ tax self parking is located off site around two blocks away because there is no parking area at the hotel. The valet parking for $59+ tax is only the 3/4 parking spots on the curb immediately in front of the hotel. My stay wasn't worth the price I paid! This hotel should invest in upgrading the rooms and amenities to ensure the stays for the customers are more pleasant and enjoyable!

Room cleaning every other day sometimes without changing washcloths. Laundry machines were about 80% inoperable as were the dryers. They were located on the 14th floor but if you needed detergent and softener you had to go down to the front desk on the first floor.

The whole experience was fine up until I started finding dead and alive tiny roaches. I could not get comfortable after that and was weary about bringing my suitcase back home. We stayed for less than 24 hours to catch a saints game on Sunday. The staff was excellent but I would not stay here again bc of my fear of bugs.

We had cockroaches on our first and second night. We must have killed 15 of them. We have video and pictures. They were coming out of the kitchen electrical outlet on the kitchen wall, roaches by the sofa bed, kitchen counter and floor. The room got spayed the second morning and we still had roaches that night and the next morning. The third morning we were told they were bringing the exterminator and were asked if we wanted to stay in the same room they would give us one free night. No thank you! I had been asking for a different room the morning after we arrived. I don’t care how much they spray for roaches or getting a free day, all I wanted was out of that room, 1215. When we got to room 701, we did see a roach about 2 hours into or stay. We never saw another roach. I suspect it hitched a ride from room 1215 which is disgusting. It means it got in our stuff. We went through all our stuff. Luckily found none. But still, a roach was in our stuff. We really should have been moved the morning of day two when I let them know. I saw people checking out. They could have given us one of the rooms. The lady that changed our room initially seemed annoyed. I think she thought we brought the roaches. When I told here they could keep the money for the first night, we just wanted OUT of that room her mannerism changed. The only good thing was the doorman, Kendrick.

Hotel was nice and fairly clean. Our shower in room 1202 has some black mold type substance that needed some attention. Otherwise nice place would consider staying again. Other suggestion would to make coffee and tea available 24 hour a day - 7 days a week.

The room is laid out well for an extended stay. It was clean and most everything worked. It’s a bit of a tired property, though, just north of the Quarter and business district. and while the staff tries hard, there were lots of problems. The management system was down at check in, creating a guest backup, and and again at check out. Breakfast inconsistently provisioned. Same with the bars, when they were open. Doubt I’d stay there again

I went for business with 2 work friends. It was very clean, spacious and the beds weee comfortable. We loved the kitchenette and the bathroom was very clean. We also enjoyed the views from the roof! We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was one of the cheaper options and was in walking distance to restaurants and attractions, although other hotels were closer. They had transportation options. Staff was never rude, but the hotel couldn’t provide extra pillows or blankets for several days. They had wiring issues, which was still a problem when they moved us to another room. We couldn’t turn all the lights off at night. The toilet was always running and the curtain was broken so we couldn’t enjoy the view. The shower was huge but the water pressure was not.

Stay was fine until we left the property. We pre-paid for our stay and after we checked out I got a text saying a charge for $700 dollars has been credited to my card. I called about it and they tried claiming we stayed longer, then you changed rooms types. Both of which are not true. Then they claimed they were busy and would call back. They never did. I am currently disputing the charges with my bank. Avoid this place.

Very easy EARLY check in for us. We used parking nearby. Easily walked to hotel. Room 1011 was big and clean. No smells. No stains. Staff helpful. Easy quick check out. Id definitely stay here again and recomeend. We were close to bourbon street, cemetery #1. All very walkable.

Very clean hotel. Seems freshly renovated. Breakfast options are good. Well sound insulated. Woulb be great if there was a pool considering the extremely hot weather of New Orleans. We visited in July though so maybe during other months it is less of a problem. It is at a good distance walk from the French Quarter if you are a good walker (at least 1km), otherwise the street car stops almost directly in front of the hotel and it is cheap (1,25$/person). The area around the hotel is poor and kind of creepy. We encoutered a lot of homeless people and there are also abandoned buildings. For the price and calmness though it was worth it.

I called the front desk before we booked and they said the trolley was operational! We arrived and found it was closed again. Well for two handicapped seniors it was a real problem going anywhere without going bankrupt. We counted on this being an easy way to get around and inexpensive. We will not stay here again! We will use Marriott again in Florida this month in Florida. We hope you will offer us a deal in New Orleans in the future at your property at 555 Canal st.
