Everything was great! My only gripe is was the elevators. If you’re on a higher floor and going down it stops every 2 floors and lets people pile in. 30 people don’t fit in 20 square feet….

My wife and I stayed here for a quick NYC getaway. The location is perfect, however the valet parking was a nightmare and we ended up having to park at the Port Authority garage (which is right across the street and probably ended up saving us money so I guess that's a win?). The room was very nice but smaller than expected. The barn door for the bathroom would not stay closed. We tried to access the rooftop bar but couldn't and ended up giving up. The voucher for breakfast was a great amenity. Overall, would stay here again, but it's 4/5 stars.

Not an elevating experience as the three elevators are insufficient to manage the noght club, service teams and patrons at the same time. It is apparent, even to the untrained eye, that trash, linens, asundry service needs do not have thier own service elevator. On check ot the line to ascend to your room took 25 minutes. The least wait for an elevator during our stay was 7 minutes. On the postive side wait staff were courteous and knowledgeable. The free breakfast excellent in choice and quality of the buffet.

Everything was ok. Elevator were not that efficient. Always full and once I waited so long that I decided use the stairs, not fun if you are on the 34th floor. They have 3 elevator but if they have an event on the top floor goes down to 2. Nice customer service. All personnel very helpful and friendly.

Libby busy and small, bar on roof made it seem crowded due ti people trying to use elevators to get upstairs , sometimes had to wait in line to get to room. Great location can walk anywhere near restaurants and theater

Valet parking very slow, had to wait 45 minutes just to park vechile in spot so valet could take vachicle. Then it took 45 minutes for them to move vechicle.its new york so i understand the limitied parking but the valet was very small and even though staff said 3 cars could fit only 2 could.

The hotel as a whole was nice. The staff was very accommodating and the location was great in relation to hotspots around Times Square. Negatives - I got a Deluxe King Bed room with city view. Room was very small, which I guess is to be expected in NYC. The facility as said it had a gym and the pictures online shows a gym with various equipment. The gym however, was only a series of Peleton bikes - nothing else. The ice machine is also in the baasement and only one for the entire building and did not work during my stay. The bar in the lobby was able to provide ice, though. As I mention, the rooms and facility were very clean and the staff was amazing. Just wish there was a better fitness facility and the rooms were a tad bigger. I had to do work in my room for a few hours and could not sit at the desk because the air conditioner blows directly on you when you sit at the desk.

Nice room, very big bathroom. The only problem we encountered was the lifts. At one point we had to wait 20 minutes for a lift from the fourth floor, you can't use the stairs as it sets off an alarm. The staff were all very nice.

Decent hotel for the price in NYC. They do a decent job of extra perks like free breakfast, water in the room, and a $25 credit for general purchases. The gym is terribly inadequate though. I would stay there again.

Actually couldn’t wait to leave. Photos make everything look much bigger and plusher than it actually is. Room tired and small. Mattress's lumpy and uncomfortable. Daughter found hairs in her bed. Housekeeping left our room open one day-thankfully nothing taken. Had booked an accessible room, but was basically a couple of handrails in the bathroom. Brought all this to staffs attention but never given an apology or solution. Views are only available to over 21yrs. There are much nicer places to stay so would not recommend and will definitely not be returning.

The bathroom was dirty. Long black hair in the tub and on floor. Watching the maid clean the floor, I suspect it was from the mop. Hair was corse and long and it was there (or a new location) the entire time. Elevators also crowed with hotel staff going from room to room with cleaning supplies. Very unprofessional to have massive carts of dirty laundry being pused through the mai entrance and check in are. Will not stay here again. It was very noisy. In fareness it was the week after Thanksgiving and NYC was packed ; the hotel was very busy. They absolutely need a freight elevator for staff and laundry etc.

The room was so tiny we could barely fit ourselves in, and bringing a stroller felt nearly impossible. When we pushed the two beds together to make some space, we discovered a bunch of garbage underneath—clearly, it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. There was absolutely no soundproofing. We could hear every word our neighbors said, the elevator doors opening and closing, and were basically unwilling witnesses to a loud party happening right behind our wall until around midnight—while I was trying to get the kids to sleep. Another big disappointment was the observation floor shown in their photos. It’s actually part of a bar that requires staff escort, and no kids are allowed—so we didn’t even get to see it. Breakfast was okay but limited, and not included in the price. Still, the location was excellent and really the only thing that made the stay worthwhile.

In NYC for one night only. Checked in at about 5 and left for dinner immediately. Back at 11 and there was a very loud rooftop bar above our room on the 39th floor. It was in full swing with very loud music and a lot of base. There was no way we were going to be able to sleep. I asked for a refund and was told that everyone knows there is a rooftop bar in the hotel. We were offered to move to a lower floor…no king bed. Knowing we would not be able to sleep, we opted to check out and return home….a 3 hour drive! Not happy and felt there was no empathy for our situation. I would appreciate contact from the manager.

Overall, a very pleasant stay, somewhere between great and excellent. Very efficient and friendly staff, check-in and bar staff included. The rooms are somewhat small, but that's pretty normal in Midtown Manhattan. We had a beautiful king-size bed that took up most of the room. The bedding was comfortable. From the 37th floor, we had a view out towards Times Square, but of course we couldn't see the square itself because of the tall buildings. I have to say the view was spectacular.

They gave away my room when I had a reservation and a deposit, without notice and when I arrived tired and without a place to sleep after many flight delays, it was inconvenient on a business trip; I didn't end up getting a room until around 4AM the next day from my reservation booked for the previous day and I had to be to work at 8AM so this was not ideal. They did try to make it up to me by providing food/drink vouchers and snacks in my room. The lobby chairs were super filthy, but the room was small, clean, updated and kept tidy by staff. Remote didn't work on the TV. Location was close to things and places to eat. Staff was friendly.

The service at this hotel was terrible. One of the staff members by the elevator had an unprofessional and unpleasant attitude. As my family and I were waiting for the elevator, a male staff member told us it would go down to a lower level before going up, so we decided to wait. A female staff member told us to get on, but we chose to wait for it to go up. The next time we were at the elevator, she rolled her eyes at us and exchanged looks and smiles with the rooftop bar receptionist. It felt disrespectful and dismissive. I paid to stay at this hotel—I didn’t deserve to be treated like a burden. In all the hotels I’ve stayed at, I’ve never experienced behavior like this. I do not recommend this hotel. Management seriously needs to train their staff on basic customer service. Even if they don’t like certain guests, it’s unacceptable to show it. Without customers, there is no hotel business.

The front desk staff was extremely rude and unhelpful, which really set a negative tone for the stay. The room was small, but that’s expected for New York. The drink tokens were a nice touch and the location was convenient. However, the windows were poorly insulated and it honestly sounded like I was standing outside, even with them closed. On top of that, I was overcharged and told I’d just have to wait for a refund, with no real explanation or apology. When my card was declined due to my bank’s fraud protection, the front desk attendant made a scene instead of handling it discreetly. I was then locked out of my room and charged an extra $150, even though the original payment had already gone through on my bank’s end. Overall, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel was good. Clean, good service. The area is not the best. There were a lot of people loitering on the street on both sides of the property. There was a bus vendor right at the door when you leave the hotel. Otherwise the closeness to Time Square was convenient. Also it was close to several subway stations.

Rooftop bar was amazing and felt like I got something for having to pay the resort fee - does seem a little dumb to have to pay a resort fee if they’re going to promote it as you get something back. Overall value was on par for it being in NYC. The location was great - next to several public transit options.

Great location to attractions and transport facilities. Room was clean and had what was needed. Staff very helpful. Did not eat at the hotel, but had drinks in the bar on the top floor and the views were amazing as well as the cocktails.

Rooms are extremely small. The buffet only had eggs potato and bacon and sausage all days we were there not much of a variety. Our refrigerator wasnt even cold. Maintenance guy said not much he could do and that the water bottles in there were "cold" more like room temperature. Hotel is at a nice location with good food around. Kind of dirty outside but the hotel inside is very clean. The rooftop bar at the hotel is better than the other 2 rooftop bars I went around the area. Overall I would recommend.

I love that they give you a welcome cocktail in the lobby bar! They were really tasty. They also give $25 tokens to use on the property but we were not able to use it at the very expensive buffet or in the roof top bar. Great view from there though. I would definitely stay there again

The Alize exceeded my expectations! The staff were so friendly and efficient with services. During check-in, they provided us with 2 complimentary drinks from the bar in the lobby as well as a $25 chip redeemable in their small market/snack area or restaurant. There are 3 elevators so we didn’t have issues with waiting a long time for an elevator. Our room, although tiny, was very clean and always stocked with fresh towels. Rooftop bar is a must see for amazing views of the city, just keep in mind that reservations are needed. Even after checking out, they still offered to hold our luggage so that we can still continue to explore the city until officially leaving. I would definitely stay here again!

My first trip to NYC was met with skepticism but the entire staff at Aliz was amazing. Anything I needed they were great and accommodating. Easily walkable to sites like Macy's, Empire State Building and others. I would gladly stay here again

The property was modern and was very clean. The hotel reception staff weren’t overly friendly and appeared to do the bare minimum to get by. The rooms are clean, and have good amenities although they’re small which you have to expect in New York. Many people complain about the wait for the lifts although we didn’t have an issue with them. The main gripe for me is that this is the first hotel I’ve even stayed in (and I’ve stayed in a lot) where I wasn’t able to go to the hotel bar. It was fully reserved for non residents on each of the 4 nights we stayed there. Also, one of the lifts is dedicated to taking people to and from the bar which I guess may be one of the reasons why some people experience problems. One day I asked if me and my family could go to the bar for a drink to be told no. Then some non residents came in without a reservation and were allowed to go in. The lady looking after the bar access even asked me if I’d like to go up and have a look at the bar the following day between 3-4pm which I politely declined. That part of my stay was very disappointing.
