Loved staying here with my boys. The boat house experience was great and comfortable. But the best was the beach bar on the marina where the kids could play games, swim in the pool and I could relax with a drink. Will stay here again!

We stayed on the Manatee and it was perfect for our group. Plenty of space to sprawl out, full sized shower was a plus! Top of the boat was awesome for unwinding after a full day of activities and watching the sun set. The pool area was great!

Really cool staying in a house boat. We spent the week scuba diving and nights on the house boat. Was clean and tidy, we slept great. Onsite restaurant and bar was under construction. Did not use the pool. Overall it was a great experience.

All three adults enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable. The back deck was delightful. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful. You are close to other boats but no one was loud. I’m a light sleeper so I wore ear plugs. There is a place to eat, soft live music and drinks next door. I would stay here again.

This property appears to be going downhill. They advertise a restaurant and bar, but there is no restaurant and the bar only has beer (no set hours.) The people who live there year round on their boats are super nice but other than that it appears to need new management. The bar owner speaks no English and was playing really nasty music, which was blaring through the pool and had no clue what he was even playing. It could be super nice if the restaurant/bar were opened and new mgmt. It appears to be family owned and distention among the family members.

We absolutely loved everything about this place, from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. Mike the manager and Paul the bartender were very friendly and helpful. We came down for my 40th birthday and it will definitely be one to remember. We stayed on the Starfish boat and it was perfect for us! If you've never stayed on a houseboat before the bathrooms are a little small but they have full bathrooms and showers up by the pool. It was great to have breakfast and coffee right on the water outside your door. The little bar and food truck was just what I was looking for. Everyone else that worked there, stayed there, and boated there were also wonderful and extremely friendly. Would definitely stay here again!!!

We normally stay in hotel rooms when we travel, so we thought it would be fun to try a house boat when I saw the option. We had all the comforts that a hotel provides, but with a way cooler atmosphere. Our only disappointment it that we didn't stay long enough to try the pool and restaurant. Good experience. We'd stay again.

We initially booked the Sand Dollar. When we boarded, we found the refrigerator was seriously iced up and dripping water. Staff quickly moved us to the houseboat in the next slip, the Tarpon. The Sand Dollar needs some updates - the floor was cracked and it was generally a bit tired. The Tarpon was beautiful, so it worked out for the best. It is a working marina, so boats are brought in and moved around. We had a kayak delivered and had no trouble getting in and out of the harbor. There were beautiful areas around the mangroves and open water for kayaking. My only complaint was that I wish there were umbrellas at the pool because it was difficult to find shade for the lounge chairs. The restaurant/bar area was not open when we were there. It would also have been nice to be able to order drinks and food onsite. We visit family in Islamorada every year and would definitely stay here again. Mike and the office staff were wonderful to deal with!

The house boat was clean and super cute. Location is great. Love the little food truck and bar on site. Showers were hot too!! Only complaint was not getting our requested housekeeping items the day we asked for them. It seemed like it was not a priority to anyone. I had to follow up multiple times the next day too. Would definitely again though. Wish the rooftop was open but I guess they put a new AC on top

We had such a wonderful on the houseboat. It was very clean and has all cooking utensils. Close location to Winn Dixie for grocery shopping. There was lots of fish and jelly fish we can see off the deck.

The weather was horrible so that made our stay not so good. Given that we had to remain inside most of the time, the TV was used regularly, however it was not in good working order. We were unable to change the volume in the bedroom and could not watch regular TV in the living area. The toilet leaked for a period of time and the stove top was not connected properly. Additionally, the outlet near the stove below the sink area was loose and causing sparks

I was so nervous about staying on a houseboat. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. We were all so pleasantly surprised with everything about it! The houseboat itself was fabulous. It was pristine! Cleaner than any of the hotels I’ve stayed in down here that were supposed to be 4 and 5 stars. Down the road, walking distance, is a shopping center with a movie theater, grocery, restaurants, pharmacy… as if you were on the mainland! Can’t beat that kind of location. Super local feel with a shopping center at the stop light down the road. If you enjoy being on the water, you’ll love this. It had all the comforts of home and then some. The manager, Mike, was as nice as could be and accommodating with a late check out. We didn’t want to leave. It’s a working marina so there are lots of locals and everyone was so friendly. This has just become our go to weekend getaway. We will definitely be back! Loved loved loved this place and everything about it! Thanks Mike! Wendi, Nigel, and Sydney

We loved our stay at Mangrove Marina. Our houseboat was clean and well - equipped. This was our first visit to Key Largo, and we thought the location was central to where we wanted to eat and visit. Everyone at the marina was super friendly, which added to the enjoyment.

Aimee reached out to us ahead of time to make sure we understood all of their policies, and find out if we would be checking in late or not, and then confirmed with a phone call the day of. The houseboat was clean, with a small kitchenette (microwave, fridge, sink, dishes). A/C was already going! The towels were brand new and the view was exactly what we were looking for- a calm, peaceful marina with gentle waves lapping at the docks and the sunset on full display. Walking distance to the Blonde Giraffe Key Lime Factory, and a short drive to the Winn-Dixie. Plenty of places to eat nearby, or well equipped to eat a quiet meal in. Definitely will recommend to friends and family!

We had a fantastic time. The accommodations were very unique and we enjoy them greatly! The only negative thing was that it did rain a lot one day and the roor leaked a little.But besides that everything was great and we enjoyed our stay completely.

It was a nice and different experience instead of typical hotel or condo. The only downfall was that boat was leaning quite a bit and the water noise hitting the stern was too loud to sleep at night. Overall I really enjoyed the stay as we need to see different things in life and this was one of them. Next time I will stay in Grey Lady. Thanks.

The house boat has a good location, located at the end of the dock however it does serve as a buffer for high winds and wavy seas so you will experience a lot more than other houseboats located interior to this one. Also, you’re basically in a tin can as far as the walls where you can hear everything and all the neighbors can hear you. We do like all the separate living spaces and how they are utilized really nicely. Decker is up-to-date and amenities provided inside of the houseboat are what you would expect. We did have issues initially connecting the TV in the evening time to get it working properly, but Aimee the manager was easy to get a hold of after hours and talk to us through getting everything working properly. We are a family of four with two teenagers and had plenty of space to put our two teams in the loft area that has twin beds and for us to stay in the bedroom and during the daytime enjoy the living area when we were actually in the houseboat and not driving around the sightseeing.

We stayed in the Grey Lady and it was the perfect slip! Quiet, views of the bay/mooring field/mangroves. Limited kitchen amenities if you are "eating in". All staff friendly and helpful. WiFi sketchy.

All three adults enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable. The back deck was delightful. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful. You are close to other boats but no one was loud. I’m a light sleeper so I wore ear plugs. There is a place to eat, soft live music and drinks next door. I would stay here again.

Staying on the boat was amazing. You have streaming services, little kitchenette with all needed supplies, 2 double en 2 single comfy beds and bathroom with shower. The only comment I have, is that the curtains aren't obscuring so you better bring eye patches

The house boat was clean and super cute. Location is great. Love the little food truck and bar on site. Showers were hot too!! Only complaint was not getting our requested housekeeping items the day we asked for them. It seemed like it was not a priority to anyone. I had to follow up multiple times the next day too. Would definitely again though. Wish the rooftop was open but I guess they put a new AC on top

Check-in was easy. Mike at the resort showed us our houseboat. He asked if it was okay or if we wanted another available houseboat. (We stayed with the one we picked, Captain's Quarters.) The houseboat was well stocked with any items we could have needed. This was so very relaxing. The gentle swaying of the boat on the water, the sounds of the water splashing against the sides. Oh boy, now I want to live on a houseboat!

I was so nervous about staying on a houseboat. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. We were all so pleasantly surprised with everything about it! The houseboat itself was fabulous. It was pristine! Cleaner than any of the hotels I’ve stayed in down here that were supposed to be 4 and 5 stars. Down the road, walking distance, is a shopping center with a movie theater, grocery, restaurants, pharmacy… as if you were on the mainland! Can’t beat that kind of location. Super local feel with a shopping center at the stop light down the road. If you enjoy being on the water, you’ll love this. It had all the comforts of home and then some. The manager, Mike, was as nice as could be and accommodating with a late check out. We didn’t want to leave. It’s a working marina so there are lots of locals and everyone was so friendly. Loved staying here with my boys. The boat house experience was great and comfortable. But the best was the beach bar on the marina where the kids could play games, swim in the pool and I could relax with a drink. Will stay here again!

The houseboat was quaint. Plenty of space for two people, and could easily sleep 4-5. The bathroom was tiny. But one could easily take a shower at the pool. We got there after hours so there was an envelope for us to tell us where to go, etc. The property has a cute sand bar with live music which you could hear from the deck of the boat, but it wasn’t terribly loud, and the tubes were great. The office could make money by selling individual tide pods (or similar) for the laundromat. Some folks were residents, some tourists like us. Everyone was super friendly.

Really cool staying in a house boat. We spent the week scuba diving and nights on the house boat. Was clean and tidy, we slept great. Onsite restaurant and bar was under construction. Did not use the pool. Overall it was a great experience.

This property appears to be going downhill. They advertise a restaurant and bar, but there is no restaurant and the bar only has beer (no set hours.) The people who live there year round on their boats are super nice but other than that it appears to need new management. We absolutely loved everything about this place, from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. Mike the manager and Paul the bartender were very friendly and helpful. We came down for my 40th birthday and it will definitely be one to remember. We stayed on the Starfish boat and it was perfect for us! If you've never stayed on a houseboat before the bathrooms are a little small but they have full bathrooms and showers up by the pool. It was great to have breakfast and coffee right on the water outside your door. The little bar and food truck was just what I was looking for. Everyone else that worked there, stayed there, and boated there were also wonderful and extremely friendly. Would definitely stay here again!!!

We initially booked the Sand Dollar. When we boarded, we found the refrigerator was seriously iced up and dripping water. Staff quickly moved us to the houseboat in the next slip, the Tarpon. The Sand Dollar needs some updates - the floor was cracked and it was generally a bit tired. The Tarpon was beautiful, so it worked out for the best. It is a working marina, so boats are brought in and moved around. We had a kayak delivered and had no trouble getting in and out of the harbor. There were beautiful areas around the mangroves and open water for kayaking. My only complaint was that I wish there were umbrellas at the pool because it was difficult to find shade for the lounge chairs. The restaurant/bar area was not open when we were there. It would also have been nice to be able to order drinks and food onsite. We visit family in Islamorada every year and would definitely stay here again. Mike and the office staff were wonderful to deal with!
