Motel 6-Houston, TX - North

Awful lady at the front, terrible to deal with about anything. Not for extended stays. Shower curtains moldy, coin washer "OUT OF SERVICE" and the nice little kiddy-pool had rubber ducky float and tennis ball, but is off limits. Rooms have *no cabinets, drawers, clothing rack, shelves, etc.* and there's not a single thing on any wall... but the wifi was sound and the cleaning ladies and fellow patrons were all nice. Not run by polite or professional people, though. Rude woman canceled our week-long reservation with NO NOTICE, and shouted that they needed rooms [even though plenty available online], so we were told to pack up and clear out AT NOON (when checkout is 11am) after staying for 2 weeks. She said the cleaning ladies hadn't been "allowed" in the room (--I work nights and they kindly respected my DND note on the door), but never informed me there was a problem. Always loved Motel 6 before her. What a terror.

For price really clean will lit at night

It's a motel 6. They're nothing special they're just a place to stay. That being said if you're going to stay there travel light because parking spaces are at a premium and not all of them are near the rooms. Side note none of the housekeeping staff speak English please bring your English Spanish dictionary or know some Spanish ahead of time.

We stayed at the property with our dogs while waiting to close on our new home. I would have loved to give this property a much higher rating because of front desk staff, lighting/safety, and room size, but this all became irrelevant because I felt as though the health and safety of my pets were threatened. Either the owner or manager knocked on our doors one morning to let us know that we had to vacate the room, with no prior notice with our pets for several minutes so that an exterminator could spray the room. My partner and I were both in work meetings and despite asking if she could return later, she refused. While I could easily look past that, what I believe to be inappropriate was the lack of information about the product being used when asked. The exterminator was wearing a full face respirator while spraying and yet no matter what question I asked about the safety of the product for my animal or myself was answered. We opted to sit in the car for an hour afterward to let whatever was sprayed dry, but the manager/owner insisted we should go back in immediately after spraying. What made me more concerned was that she entered into rooms with pets while the owners had stepped out, allowing spraying to happen with pets in the room. Even with the most pet-friendly of products I have used in my own home, we are encouraged to wait several minutes to an hour before letting children or animals in. This was a gross oversight at best, but one I cannot overlook.

This hotel is not for family or kids a lot of fights and police being called a lot of street walkers the washing machine doesn’t work molded my clothes

Very centric location, building well maintained, there is a cute gazebo or smoking areas outside, it’s pet friendly 😊, Victor was polite, helpful, and the hotel has plenty of parking. The only two issues were the entrance wasn’t properly recognized in Google maps, also the room had a strong smoke smell inside. Otherwise I would visit again.

Absolutely horrible experience. The room had roaches and bed bugs, and everything reeked of cigarette smoke. Completely unsanitary and unsafe—would not recommend to anyone.

Disgusting. There was stains on the sheets. The shower head has plastic bag on it. Towels had stains. There were hair pieces found in between the sheets. Pillows flat. The smell of weed came into our room when we turned the ac on. The ac unit was dirty. The smell and dust gave us allergies in the morning. The room stinking of bad mop water smell mixed with clorax. I will never ever book again in motel 6.

Room had mold, screws sticking up from table and bed was filthy

There were so many roaches very nasty the covers smelled really bad.

Outside was nice but inside the room it was nasty. Burn marks on the floor, stains on the pillow covers, black mold on the bathroom walls, tub drain clogged with black hair. It was gross!

Worst experience at a hotel I've ever had. I killed over a dozen roaches overnight. A roach crawled on to the bed from behind the headboard. Roaches came crawling from under the metal bedroom that appeared to be nailed to the floor. Roaches also came crawling from behind and underneath the mini fridge. The A/C unit was full of mold and dirt, triggering my asthma. My reservation came with 2 free hours of late checkout (11AM-1PM) but the manager threatened to call the police at 11:45AM. I told the manager that I was experiencing chest pains and heart palpitations but she continued yelling at me to leave, disregarding that her yelling was negatively impacting my health. My ride showed up and I checked out within the time frame I'd told her but she had the nerve to say that I was being rude because I asked her to stop yelling at me because her yelling was making the chest pains and heart palpitations I was experiencing. I booked my room through a 3rd party company so I reported the issues with them and I called the front desk multiple times to report the issues I'd encountered with the room but each time the phone just rang until it hung up. I will never ever book a room at this location and I don't recommend anyone else to as well. Unprofessional and rude management, roach and mold infested, disgusting rooms.

There was hair in the shower and toilet...there was roaches..sheets wear stained

This property had roaches! Do not stay here! Room smelled really bad and the bed felt like you was sleeping on springs!

Most reviews said this hotel was at least clean. That is truly what I care about so I took a chance. It is not clean. There were ROACHES all over the place, even crawling across the bed. Don't believe the others, it is disgusting.

Very clean and spacious. Good property and location

The rooms are very clean nice and big also they have smart TVs I was able to connect to Netflix

The mattress had a dip and the door wasn’t fully closed so bugs were getting in

The light in room near microwave kept flickering

Deadbolt didn't curtain on window was hanging off one side asked for a different room. 2nd room was dirty, long hairs in bathroom and sink area, microwave had a rubber foot missing making it cockeyed, dirty in corners of tub, no water pressure, shower heads clogged needs changing, light around mirror had a strobing effect when turned on, remote buttons were missing and breaking off in hand while trying to turn on and change channels, seeing stains on brown blanket after taking top blanket off. Definitely would not stay at this location ever again. The CEO needs to go on Undercover Boss series to check out some of these franchises.

It’s a cheap motel and you get what you pay for. Very uncomfortable bed and some loud noise that makes a constant humming noise outside somewhere. It’s out dated and not very clean.

Not sure what happened but the room I was given had been fairly well trashed. The phone cord was ripped from the phone with exposed wire on the table. The king bed frame was broken and tagged in the middle. The bathroom had only a walk in shower, which might have been okay if there was any light since the bathroom light didn't work. I drew the line when the heater wouldn't turn on and asked for another room. The man at the counter said he didn't know about any of those things and said I would need to switch to a room upstairs. The room upstairs, while not an upgrade from what I paid for, was clean and all the lights and heat worked. Bed was pillow top and comfortable.

Very spacious, quiet, clean

Clean and spacious room. I only stayed for one night so fridge and microwave was enough for me. Bed was comfortable and staff was very helpful. Door had to be pulled shut otherwise it would stick but that was the only inconvenience I experienced.

This is the worse motel 6 I’ve stayed at. The environment is nice and they keep up with cleaning the rooms every day BUT the customer service is HORRIBLE. My disabled mother and our family are currently homeless with our dogs. We decided to scrape every penny aside to put towards 3 rooms. After staying for two weeks, 3 days before our “checkout date” we were going to extend our stay which the property owner knew ahead of time that we were homeless. She decided to tell us that our animals stunk and we had too many animals in one room so we couldn’t extend our stay. I apologized and explained our situation (again) and offered to get my animals washed (again) and to switch the animals around so it was only two in each room ( which the policy is 2 pets per room up to 150lbs) she told me no and that we could not stay even if I solved the problems because we stunk too bad. The room that she complained about MY disabled mother slept it and she insisted that she was not going to be able to rent that room out again for a few weeks bc she had to hire a cleaning company. Then a day late had new people in that room??? I then asked if I could have a refund for the last night because I didn’t want to be without a place to stay with my dogs for 5 hours due to the checkout times and the refused to comply with me at all. Tere was roaches, WiFi didn’t work, fridge froze everything. I will definitely contact higher authority about this matter

Friendly and helpful staff

Unique? The staff. She was rude from checkin and the man just stands around not saying anything. He can tell shes unstable. I had to ask the one lady to calm down and stop yelling at me 3 or 4 times before yelling back. She needs a different job hospitality isnt her strong suit. Rude like it's a fashion statement is not cute. I had to remind her that issues with the room wasn't my fault. She said they weren't hers either.

Jennie front desk lady is very friendly and professional 👌 hotel is very nice, clean and affordable prices. I recommend it!

I was really impressed with the hospitality at the hotel. The person at the front desk did a great job and never gave me an attitude. He was very understanding. I would definitely come back. However, one of the rooms we stayed in didn't seem well cleaned, possibly due to the cleaning supplies they use. There was also a strong odor of cigarettes, possibly from the previous guests not following the rules, and we also noticed some baby roaches. I addressed the issue, and they said they would take care of it. The cleaning service was very helpful. We asked for the sheets to be changed because one of the kids had spilled juice, for the trash to be taken out, and for clean towels.

The stay was due to a breakdown. I’m a truck driver and my truck broke down in Houston the service was good but the lady that ran the office sorry not sure of her name was very rude unfortunately I was there with out transportation and limited funds so could not leave and find another place to stay would not stay here again

I’m a truck driver my truck broke down in Houston unfortunately I do have any other transportation or I would have stayed somewhere else the lady sorry don’t know her name that ran the office was very rude had to stay here almost 2 weeks and every time we had to add time we had to deal with her attitude just very unpleasant would not stay here again

Nice and quiet, friendly staff

The staff at this property were very friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. That includes the cleaning crew. I would definitely recommend this location for a comfortable stay.

Cute little hotel. Decent location. Seemed like it was newer, and the layout was pretty nice. We were pleasantly surprised by this location.

Area around the property littered with drug paraphernalia, trash and used condoms This was mainly in the dog walking area. Room was good just be aware especially if you have children who should not be allowed outside alone after dark

Great location and value for money

The property was located in a safe area. It appeared to be clean judging from how it looked on the outside. When I opened the door to the room, and turned the lights on, there were two roaches heading towards the door. The next morning, we decided to get a few refrigerator items and one being cheese. My husband while eating his cheese was accompanied by a baby roach. I will never again stay at this hotel or any other Motel 6.

Area is amazing

Very nice stay. Room was very comfortable. Had a great time watching movies. Park and ride bus station conveniently 15 minute walk right down the road.

Beware this place is located in sketchy part of town.. had one night stay here and was horrible. A fight broke out next door after glass window broken police called to the property. Room was non smoking but reeked of cigarette smoke. Front lobby never opened.. day or night?! Never again!! Buyer beware!! Don’t stay here!!
