The pool looks much bigger in the photos than it really is, I thought it was very small

The property is really nice, walking distance to downtown area and 10 minute driving to the beaches. The continental breakfast is very convenient, specially love the omelettes. Also the hotel offers happy hour after 5pm with snacks included. Now be aware that if you use the parking garage there is a charge of $40 per night, plus $28 per night for the use of the hotel premises, like the pool, the restaurant, the bar, the gym. Even if you decide not to use it, you will be charge $28 per night. So use the premises and use these $28 charge as credit if you consume food or drinks. On the other hand the hotel personnel don’t seem very happy when working. I heard them fussing and complaining between them not caring who were around them, which seems very rude for the guests.

Nice property in a central location to be Downtown and also get to Longboat or Siesta easily. Self parking was definitely a plus for plans that require flexibility. Free breakfast was an added benefit. The hotel gets a lot of traffic but staff is constantly working to clean. The pool looks great in photos but is small, gets crowded and is shaded most of the day.

Everything was great except the elevators. The elevators sucked. Had to wait 3-10 minutes every time. This decreased my joy. But the staff was friendly and the place was otherwise perfectly nice.

Great location, excellent staff. Physical facility could use some work, unpainted drywall repairs and worn moldings were not uncommon. Breakfast was ok, but below Embassy Suites standards. More troubling were the items that were not functioning. One of three elevators was functional. The same elevators serve the parking, so a 10-15 minute wait for the lone elevator were normal. Also, the outdoor 8th floor patio deck with a pool and bar adjacent were closed for unclear reasons. This was a primary reason that I had booked this hotel, and the pool deck was even featured in an e-mail sent to me by the hotel the day before I checked in. "Here at the Embassy Suites, we have our amazing gym, pool, and restaurant all on the 8th floor with a beautiful view of Sarasota." Parking was $40. Resort fee for the non-functional pool area was $25. Had I known about the elevators and the pool deck with its beautiful view being closed, I would have stayed elsewhere.

Staff was excellent, room was very functional and spacious, however sofa was saggy and disappointingly the pool was closed for resurfacing during our stay which was not disclosed to us in advance.

Too bad the pool was closed due to prior hurricane damage 🙁 Very friendly bartender staff. Nice breakfast variety 👍

There was no daily cleaning during my 7-day stay. The bed was made each day, but there was always sand on the floor and even in the bed and hair in the shower. The floor was only swept once, after I complained. Additionally, the behavior of one receptionist was not appropriate. She complained to me about another guest, and on one occasion when I called, she told me she couldn’t understand me in a manner that was neither polite nor professional for a receptionist.

Very clean, quiet and comfortable accommodations. Immensely enjoyed our stay.

I'll start with the good. Room was nice, good view, enough room for my family, breakfast was probably the best one I've had in a hotel, staff was friendly and courteous. Will I ever come back? probably but than again I'm not 100 percent sold. Hallways smelled pretty bad, elevator had feces in it maybe someone dragged it in from outside and we happen to get into the elevator right after? I don't know but that was disgusting. Price per night was not cheap to begin with and make sure you account for another 40-50 in random fees and self parking. It adds up. Had I known this ahead of time that my cost out the door would be plus $50 a day I'd probably book a different hotel that would have free or cheaper parking.

With this being a Hilton Hotel, I was very disappointed to see that it did not meet my expectations. It looked and felt like a three star hotel. The rooms were good, nothing out of the ordinary, however, the pull out sofa bed was terrible, dirty and looked like a dingy motel bed. I wouldn't stay there again. This hotel was not worth the price. The parking was extremely expensive and NOT included with the original hotel purchase.

Our room was extremely dirty. The floors were disgusting. Bathroom not cleaned. Hairs on fresh towels. The front desk was not helpful. They were rude when we explained the dirty room. They were rude upon checkin and didn’t explain the amenities. She was not helpful at all.

The entire facility, staff and surrounding area were very nice. Only thing I didn't like is that the floor in the room was dirty probably hadn't been cleaned in a while.

The pool area was disgusting. Old French fries, blobs of ketchup and wet gross napkins all over the deck and in the pool. It was like this the whole 2.5 days we were there.

The location is perfect in Sarasota and was my favorite part. The staff was extremely friendly, especially the restaurant, breakfast, and bar staff. The breakfast was delicious and a great experience. However, my room was never swept. We stayed 7 nights and only one day it was swept without us having to complain. The bathroom was not always cleaned properly either. I was not used to it because with Marriott we never had that problem. The walls maybe needed some paint touch up and the bathroom had a lot of rust. It wasn’t what I thought would be a problem, because when you walk in the lobby was so nice and clean. But the cleanliness of the room was a disappointment.

Breakfast line too long Sunday… Should be a 2nd person assisting with omelets, etc. Cranberry juice too watery. Our room was dark…especially the bathroom which made it difficult to shave…no light over shower stall either. Upon leaving we discovered a bulb missing near hallway coffee pot area…but that would not solve low lighting in bedroom/bathroom. Front desk staff 10 minutes late for 8AM wake up call one day…one day was perfect. Front desk staff courteous and helpful with freezing ice packs for trip home.

We stayed here while we moved our daughter into college. It was very comfortable. MUCH bigger room than we expected. Pool was nice and relaxing after a long drive and move in day. Staff was TOP NOTCH. We will definitely being staying again when we come to visit. This was the 3rd trip and 3rd hotel we stayed in while in Sarasota. Out of the 3 visits this was by far the nicest hotel we stayed in.

Pros: The corner room in 17th floor was nice and a nice view. Workers were nice. The breakfast was great. Location 5 minutes drive from my favorite beach Lido beach. The city trolley makes a stop in front of the hotel(if you dont rent a car). The gym is small and simple equipment for a simple workout. Bed is comfortable. Cons: parking $40night (outside parking in the street is free) they charge a $28 restaurant fee per night (if you eat at they're restaurant they will avoid the $28 and just pay what you consume, not many options on the menu, they're dishes are $5 to $6 higher comparing outside restaurants) but that limits you on trying a restaurant outside. Staff not trained properly on how to explain this fee so had a little confusion. Another $25 fee per night is added (stay fee). The swimming pool is very restricted, closing early at 7pm. (A glass window that divides the pool and gym is/was cracked). Internet/wifi access is not free and limited. No free streaming channels access, even we all have these services now days I think adding them is a plus(even I offer them for free in my airbnb rental). Pillows not comfortable.

I was really let down by several aspects of my stay. First, the staff lacked basic courtesy—no greetings, no smiles, and little to no engagement with guests. It made the atmosphere feel cold and unwelcoming. A major issue was the elevator situation. Staff regularly use the same elevators as guests, which results in long wait times—often 5 to 7 minutes just to catch a ride. At one point, we had to share an elevator with a staff member transporting a large bin full of trash. The odor was overwhelming and completely inappropriate for a hotel environment. The pool area was also disappointing. It’s very small and doesn’t accommodate the number of guests using it. There’s not nearly enough seating, and the pool is surrounded by the building structure, so there’s no sunlight—making it impossible to tan or even enjoy any natural light. The room itself wasn’t much better. The bathroom door is a sliding/hanging style that doesn’t fully close, offering little to no privacy—definitely not ideal when sharing the room with others. On top of that, the TV is mounted directly across from the entrance door instead of the bed, and there’s no option to swivel or adjust it, making it very uncomfortable to watch from anywhere in the room. Overall, these issues made the stay far less enjoyable than expected. For the price and brand, I expected better attention to guest comfort and experience. There’s a lot of room for improvement here.

The shower has very little pressure and both mattress were very worn out. The blue lights behind the bed also did not work. I would also say the breakfast is nice but could definitely use more variety during the week

This embassy suites property is new, very gorgeous views of the water & city and a very modern hotel &very roomy king suite, but with that being said there should not be a problem with the AC in the rooms or with the water pressure in the showers let alone the handheld shower did not work at all and actually fell apart in my hands onto the floor of the shower. I easily snapped it all back together but it still did not work. The AC of the rooms was not controllable even though there was a thermostat in the room that said it was 80, it was freezing cold in there the entire 24 hours probably stuck at about 65°. I being a woman of short stature and only weigh 100, i could not easily slide the barn style bathroom door back and forth. I'd say those need to be replaced on smoother rollers that roll more easily. I have them in my home and I do not have this issue at all. I am a Floridian and I love my AC but this was beyond my comfort level for sleeping. Thank goodness there was a blanket in the closet for both my husband and I to feel more comfortable. The on-site parking was convenient and free breakfast was spectacular! The staff at the front desk was also superb upon check in and check out.. they even credited my $40 parking rate for the inconveniences.

The timing of the room cleaning was very uneven. On a couple of days, the room was not cleaned until late afternoon. On our last full day, there was no room cleaning at all. The closet space is minimal at best, as well as the dresser space. No clock in the room. Front desk staff were very friendly, as were the dining room people. The breakfast buffet was very good. Location is good, very convenient to downtown Sarasota.

The front desk person I first encountered was the rudest person I have ever met. The hotel is starting to decline in presence and clientele.

The staff accommodated my needs and made our anniversary trip a success! Very friendly and hard working staff!

Dinner was a joke 1server for the whole restaurant all food came out same time no silverware couldn’t get a drink food was good but we didn’t have a chance to eat our apitizer no one to help with our luggage and no towels at the pool

There were issues with the quoted price on Expedia verses the price at the hotel. My initial experience with the front desk agent Kimberly was not pleasant, she was short and rude. I eventually spoke to the manager the next day and he was apologetic. It was decent but not sure I would stay there again because of Kimberly

My family and I checked in on 10/3/24 and checked out on 10/7...two days before hurricane Milton made landfall, and we were waiting for the Breeze trolley,... bus,... whatever, to take us to the airport. When we finally saw Breeze driver turn the corner towards the hotel pick up area, he/she didn't even stop at the designated spot to give us a chance to walk out from the hotel lobby. They just blew by the pickup point (clearly marked as any other mass transit stop) and kept going. Wind was already kicking up, it was raining, and we had a flight to catch. After we told the hotel manager what had happened, he asked his shuttle driver to take us to the airport; even though the hotel shuttle does not pickup/drop-off at the airport or beaches. The hotel manager was very empathetic and apologized for the inconvenience (even though none of it was his fault). Long story short, our stay was very pleasant, the entire staff was cordial and accommodating, and the management went above and beyond. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel! May god bless and watch over all of you. AAAAA++++++!

Check in was at 3pm but our room wasn’t ready until after 6. We went to the restaurant to eat and waste time waiting for the room and on top of our waiter not speaking or even understanding English, it took hours for service. I literally had to ask if they forgot about us and they just laughed. Then at checkout they charged me for parking even though I don’t have a car. Trying to remove the parking a mistake was typed and it took about 20 minutes for someone to help fix the error. I will never stay at this Embassy Suites again.

The staff at this property were very good, smiles, helpful and courteous. The property itself is centrally located to drive easily to local beaches and eateries. Parking is located on the first few floors of the building and leads into a small lobby for registration. I had read other reviews that spoke to the design of this building being "odd". After our stay I concurred that the pool, bar, deck area are far too small given the number of rooms, especially if you have children. The pool is mostly covered, offering only mid day and afternoon sun, it's located on the 8th floor as is the bar and dining area of the hotel. There were 6 tables out near the pool which guests use to eat and the tables take up much of the space near the pool. There are only a handful of lounge chairs and 3/4 of the deck around the pool is quite narrow. The bar area inside is very nice, round with beautiful views of the area and bay. The bar staff were also very good and made beautiful handcrafted cocktails. The hotel offers nightly drinks and snacks which during our stay included chips, salsa, cheese, fruit, and popcorn. You will pay a daily 25 dollar fee that is required that we suspect helps cover the costs of the "free cocktails", however it's a credit that can go to other items too. We stayed on the 13th floor and found the rooms very nice and our stay was quiet on our floor. Cleaning could improve in that carpets were in need of vacuum and elevators and glass areas to parking lot needed attention

Room was in good shape and bed comfy. Safe roomy and easy to use. Mandatory destination charge a ripoff. Cheapest wine/liquor selection. Yuck. Breakfast was yucky. Even coffee wasn't very good. I wouldn't go back. Parking garage needs to have arrows painted on it to show flow in and out. Simple thing to do to alleviate confusion on guests' part.

Property was very nice! Rooms terrific. Was mistold that pool is open until 11pm, which it does not....closes at sundown and also stayed shut due to rain. Also was told parking is $30, but it was $40. Otherwise staff is friendly and a lot of dining options walkable. Breakfast was great, but lines were very long and timely for waffles!

This is a great hotel centrally located with clean rooms. I get that you want to close a bar/restaurant by a certain time but forcing your guests to sit in the lobby in the first floor with no space was mind-blowing. We travelled to attend a celebration of life and not having a space we're we could sit and gather was hard. The pool was nice and the breakfast was awesome with healthy options and decadent waffles etc for kids.

The breakfast cook, making omelettes was not very friendly, and honestly, a bit disrespectful. Needs training I think. Although he has been there for sometime.
