Bistro has an extremely limited menu and the bistro staff were constantly complaining they were understaffed. Took over a half hour to get two muffins, a bagel and two coffees. Muffins were inedible. The staff checking guests in were extremely nice and professional. Cleaning staff were loudly swearing in front of guests about their inability to get on the elevator. The neighborhood around the property does not seem safe at all.

We were there to bike the trails. We were there Saturday through Tuesday, July 4. Due to the holiday, it was difficult to find breakfast. Fortunately, the hotel has breakfast. My one negative is that they only accept credit, no cash and good prices were high.

I really do enjoy this hotel. It is very clean and has an amazing fitness center which I always take advantage of. However, this time the bed was SO uncomfortable. I don't know why - maybe the mattresses are getting old. But after two bad nights of sleep and an aching back, I was happy to return home to my own bed. No slight to the satff or the actual hotel, it just wasn't comfortable for me

Very nice hotel. Great view of the river. Nice balcony/porch off the main lobby where you can sit and view the river and have drinks and/or food. A nice bistro there. Staff was very friendly. In a very convenient area so you can get to everywhere easily. Great place to stay.

Beautiful facility overlooking the river. Outside veranda was wonderful. Staff friendly and helpful. The only downside? Be aware that the Bistro "restaurant" is a counter where you will place your order and walk away with your sandwich or salad in a paper bag.

2nd time staying here and now convinced the rooms are not being cleaned well. The shower was filthy in room 305. It literally had black specs all over and was slimy. The staff is friendly. We only stayed one night, however room was smelling like an astray and partly I believe it had dirty filters on the AC unit. There was no operable window, so we couldn't get the clean air in. Room number was 417. Since it was late at night and we've had to leave early in the morning. We stayed. But I don't think I can stay there again.

Nice property. But can the hotel please explain why they have a small refrigerator in the room that shuts of automatically after 2 hours? What use is that if you want to keep food cold? Makes no sense and they should change it. Also, A/C unit very noisy and erratic. Not enough hooks in bathroom for used towels.

Moving our daughter into RPI. We have stayed at this property before and it is always great. This time we encountered an unexpected issue. Our daughter took our car overnight while we stayed in the hotel. She called us in the am to report the car as stolen. The car was NOT parked in the hotel lot. That said, the hotel staff could not have been kinder. The lady who was managing the breakfasts was so sweet. I was paying for a cup of tea when my daughter called to say our vehicle was no longer where she had parked it. I went back to our room to speak with the police. They told me to meet an officer in the hotel lobby. When I went back to the lobby the same lady brought me a cooked breakfast saying that as I was having a rough day she wanted me to have a good breakfast. How thoughtful!!!!!! I also asked the front desk for a late checkout while I figured out what to do as we were from out of state so absent a car we had some challenges. They were completely understanding and also indicated that should we need to stay another night they would work with us on the rate. All told the staff greatly helped make an otherwise stressful experience as tolerable as possible. The update is that our car was towed and so $204 later and a walk to and through an interesting part of town we got our car back.

Troy Marriott needs a security guard for the parking lot is very unsafe at night. Even the Troy police told us they had out sometimes there were people in the parking lot homeless people sleeping people looking in the car trying to break in.

The bar and dining area had the warmth of a food court. It was like walking up to the counter get your food and then go sit in a big open space. Not inviting or warm or engaging. And I hated that I had to go down stairs and pay for a cup of coffee in the morning, like going to Starbucks. Why not at leader courtesy tea and coffee set up in the lobby? The next time I came to Troy I stayed at the Best Western, just for the sake of knowing that I could get up and go down for a good cup of coffee.

Stayed in a king room on the water side of the building with a 15 month old. Hotel provided a pack and play with a sheet for the toddler. Recommend bring your own mattress for the pack and play. Room was quiet and comfortable. The bathroom sink was weird and sprayed water all over. Front desk was helpful and always had someone available. Breakfast option in the hotel was good but expensive. Walking distance to many good places to eat.
