Luxury 2 bedroom apartment w/ free parking

Traveled with kids to DC and found this apartment to be very adequate for our needs. The hosts were super responsive and helpful, which I must say made the stay so much better, leading up to and during the trip. The apartment was clean, the beds were sooooo comfortable, and it had everything needed for the family. The fireplace was definitely utilized as it was cold and snowing and probably the main reason I booked here. Space heaters and fans are provided if needed... just be careful not to plug in one in each room, or you will trip a fuse like I did when I plugged in 3 of them (2 is fine, though). I've never stayed in a basement apartment before, so just be aware that you will hear the family upstairs, particularly if you are staying in the bedroom with stairs leading up to the house. Flight was delayed, and we arrived close to 1AM, in the morning; I woke up to a child crying as they were getting ready for school. Can pretty much hear everything from that room. Had a mishap when the showerhead disconnected while my daughter was showering, but again, the owner was super responsive and had it fixed within a few hours. Safe neighborhood, conveniently located with free parking, no need for a permit. Would definitely recommend it!

Listing is just as is - clean, cute basement apartment. Easy to get to DC attractions by Uber or a short 10-12 minute walk to the subway (we did both)! Great communications and safe street to park on. 3 adults and one teen and had plenty of room. Very reasonable door dash when you come back from all day touring DC and don’t feel like going to restaurant. Would recommend and would stay here again!!😄

10 high steps up & 6 high steps down to basement apt. Dark long walk around house - 1 dim light. Overhang down to apt very low. I'm 5'8" & hit my head.Large TV with good internet but impossible to enjoy by sitting on OLD sofa bed bec front of seat cushions have no support. Everyone agreed you feel like you are sliding off front of couch. Pull out sofa bed had a very uncomfortable hump.Light switch upon entering apt is across hall – hard to find. Bathroom light switch also hard to find - above sink. Cannot lock bathroom door - does not align. Shower head does not tilt - pointed to corner of shower bec of gap in shower door. Nice shower head, plenty of pressure & hot water.Unable to set own A/C temp other than opening window. We did not have a problem with their preset temperature.Full size washer/dryer. Nice thick large dark blue towels. Upon arrival, there were 7 towels, 2 hand towels, 6 wash clothes, and 3 sets of top and bottom sheets all tightly twisted together in the dryer – damp & disgusting! I had to untangle & dry them. They specifically request you to place ALL towels & sheets in washer together and start it before you check out.The beds have white comforters with blue stains from being washed with the towels. This is also disgusting! They are warm though.Nice medium size refrigerator/freezer. Nice medium size microwave. Small stove/oven. Smallest dishwasher I have ever seen. Model SPT SD-9252SS. Plenty of plates, bowls, and etc. but not enough silverwar

Very clean with adequate accommodations, which included a washer and dryer, stove and microwave. Adequate space to lay out clothing and personal items. Large table to sit at for eating, playing games, etc. The fireplace added a nice touch, as well as for warming the area as needed. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider it again in the future.

It had everything we needed. It was quiet and convenient. Plenty of on-street parking in front of the house. We'll be back!

Steep stairs up from street and then steep stairs in back of home down to basement. (This was difficult for older adults.) Lighting outdoors was minimal. No egress windows was concerning. Otherwise, property met our needs. Cleaning service needs to dust and vacuum better in bedrooms.

We enjoyed our weekend at the apartment. The apartment was very clean and spacious. It was also very centrally located for our activities. The owners were very attentive to a minor issue we had and took care of it immediately. I will say, be prepared to walk up steep steps with your luggage to approach the house and then down a few steps to enter the apartment. Other than that, it's a great place to stay and I would most definitely stay there again.

Nice quiet apartment that was just what we needed for our 4-night stay with 4 adults. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals to save a bit of money. There's ample close-by parking on the street. We hired an Uber for around 25 each time we went into DC since we aren't familiar with public transportation. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here if we were ever in the area again!

Close to the metro as well, you can walk or just park at the metro station for just $10. After walking in dc all day I didn't feel like walking back 😂 also loved being able to do laundry too. Everything was very well stocked in the apartment too

Overall it was okay. Could use a bug zapper at front door. The apartment could use a deep clean. Location was good.

My 2 daughters, my sister, and myself were in DC for the USA Jigsaw Puzzle competition at the convention center and this was the perfect place for our trip. The accomodations were clean and had everything we needed. The host was very responsive to my questions. This neighborhood felt safe and it was easy to get an Uber. I highly recommend this place if you want a quiet neighborhood to stay in.

Cute basement apartment. They have everything you need and more. Good use of space and we were pleasantly surprised that the second bedroom is now a queen sized bed ( very comfortable ).The pictures showed a daybed with trundle. Although you can not control the temperature it was completely comfortable and very shocking how quickly it did cool down with just opening the window. The floors were clean but slippery. If you are tall be cautious there are a few areas where you may bump your head.

This property was perfect for our needs for a 2-night stay in DC--work colleagues traveling together who needed private spaces for sleeping with common space. Communication with the owners was very clear with quick responses, with great suggestions for things to do and little notes posted throughout the apartment with suggestions and tips. Family noise did carry to the back bedroom with the staircase heading up to the main floor starting around 7:15 am, but I was awake so it didn't bother me significantly. Beds were super comfortable and the shower was also great. Would recommend!

Beds were very comfortable, very clean and spacious for being a basement apt. Great location and very affordable.

The stay was ok, but my husband and boys had a difficult time navigating through the apartment because of their height. The apartment is definitely not for tall people. They hit their heads a couple of times. I think this should be noted on the description for people to make a comfortable choice and no one is seriously hurt.The refrigerator does not keep things cool. The freezer part works fine, but the upper part does not. The apartment is located in close proximity to most museums and restaurants, so we made the best of it. Thanks for everything.

My 15 year old son and I stayed this beautiful clean apartment! It was perfectly located with ease to ride scooters and to grab an Uber. The parking on the street was perfect too!Having two bedrooms made our stay, in addition to access to wifi. The hosts gave perfect directions, were readily available, and responded quickly.

Location was very convenient to downtown and the convention center. Hosts were very responsive and accommodating. Provided plenty of instructions and guides, so there were no questions that needed to be asked. We would definitely rent again.

We were in DC for a graduation- this spot was very clean, convenient and well furnished. We were able to walk to the Rhode Island metro easily and get to and from the home with no issues. The beds were vary comfortable as well.

We had a conference to go to and found this place. Very quaint neighborhood and close to eateries and shops.

I really enjoyed this location! It is within easy walking distance of nice local restaurants. The bus line was also close by and they provided great info on the area in the apartment. Clean and easy to get to!

The location was very good and the house is cute and cozy. We loved the wine we were gifted and the neighborhood was close enough to major attractions but also far enough that you got some much needed quiet and calm.
