The property is basic, connected with other hotels all in a row, shared gym, pool, restaurant. No ice machines. Traffic loud when staying on second floor. Excellent breakfast included in price and all staff very helpful and friendly.

Parking spots were really small, hard to park a pick up truck

Was perfect for our needs - unfortunate pool was closed but everything else was great.

Hey Expedia, please figure out a way to let your guests know when faculties are down. Pool and gym have been closed all winter. The lack of transparency on that was very disheartening when the one thing the grandchildren were looking forward to, was the pool. I know you can do better

Only con is limited parking

Our 3rd or 4th time staying here in the last year-ish. The place is always clean, from rooms to front lobby. Friendly staff and the underground secured parkade is always a nice bonus. Breakfast available and included with certain bookings. The only thing that could be better is harder mattresses and pillows, but that’s just my preference.

The pool and workout room are not in order , they haven’t been for months. Laundry room under service , ice machine under service. Very much regret booking here

Biggest downside was the pool/hot tub/gym area being closed for renovations. I only wish I would have known these facilities weren't available when I was booking.

Located conveniently off the highway, 10 minutes from West Edmonton Mall. Building is a bit confusing as it is connected to another hotel via a corridor. This wing is undergoing upgrades and the pool is not currently open. Room was clean and comfortable with everything you may need. Would stay here again.

My favourite place to stay when I bring my dog, staff are extremely nice. They had a very beautiful Christmas display and the front desk person very kindly took a picture of me and my dog , hotel is always super clean.

Overall just okay. Room wasn’t very clean. Maid service came once but didn’t even take the garbage out or actually clean. I would try a different hotel next time.

Carpet and couch were filthy with stains, stayed here in the winter and the room was much cleaner during that stay

I’ve stayed here twice. First time, I believe I got a pet friendly room (I didn’t have a pet with me) because there was animal hair in the bedding and poop smudges in the hallway floors that remained there the 3 days I stayed. There were three spiders in my room upon entry and one beetle. The floors appeared uncleaned with fuzz and stuff on them. The second stay, it appeared I was not in a pet friendly room as there was no animal hair in the bedding, no poop in the hallway however the carpet was still very stained. They mistakenly gave me a room that was under construction, 10 minutes later I received my new room. The floors again had stuff on them so I don’t think they were cleaned. My bed was broken and very creaky. The bathroom had yellow and red “stuff” on the walls by the toilet. It really grossed me out and I just tried my best to not look at it. I won’t stay there again. It is in a really convenient location though.

Breakfast was great, chef made fresh omelettes one morning and waffles the other morning. Nice to have breakfast included!! Room was not very clean, they could use a good deep cleaning. Old q-tips under sink and could see spill/hand marks on walls. Carpet didn't seem vacuumed too well either. Kitchenette was nice to have as option if needed. Pool was freezing! Overall was not terrible as we did not spend much time in room.

The worst emotions we experienced were when checking in. It turned out that the card we were given when booking was not suitable for paying for the room. For the first time we encountered the fact that a credit card was needed to pay for the reservation, which we did not have. And most importantly, the administrator told us that there was no other option. That is, after 10 hours of travel with three children, we were offered to simply turn around and look for another hotel. Only after my husband began to talk through all the details, saying that this was completely unacceptable, that the card was processed during registration and was no longer suitable, we were told that we could pay with a debit card, but in this case they would not return us $ 50, which would be deducted as a deposit. Of course, we agreed to overpay these $ 50 so as not to look for another hotel with children. Also, among the minuses of the hotel, I would like to note the not very good cleaning and uncomfortable mattresses and pillows. I found things from previous tenants: socks, toys, a bottle for a baby, dirty plates were also found. One mattress on the bed was sagging and you had to lie down with your head where your feet should be, otherwise your head would be lower than your feet. The hotel's positives include the responsiveness of the staff and quick response to requests.

It’s super run down. My hotel room stunk as well as my bedding. I woke up feeling really gross. It use to be my favourite hotel on the west but it’s becoming super run down and gross. Great breakfast, staff are great and I love the underground parking. Surrounding area is full of homeless and drug addicts.

This property is one of the cleanest hotels I have seen. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Will be back.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Nice and bright, modern.

Room was fully equipped especially kitchen which was amazing. There is a lot of thumping noise from upstairs but other than than it was great.

After a string of bad hotel stays this place felt like heaven. Easy friendly check in, modern hotel and rooms, clean, comfy pillows, good shower pressure, continental breakfast above average, with pool/hot tub and nice sized gym ! New favourite overnight stay in Edmonton !

Comfortable bed

Great location and incredible staff. Rooms are a little run down and need some TLC but was a great experience for my families trip.

The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spacious and well stocked. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Clean. Highly recommend this place. Good value also.

Clean, newly renovated rooms with fresh bedding and comfortable beds. The lighting in the bathroom was quite dim, which made it very difficult to apply make up. Also, the traffic noise was quite prevalent at all hours of the night, so if the noise bothers you, ask for a room on the side of the building facing away from 100th Avenue. Otherwise, this was a great hotel, and the complementary breakfast was great. In addition, there was plenty of parking.

Great stay . Convenient location for shopping, dining & attractions . Room was large , bed comfy. Pillow selection was limited , all too soft . There was no mirror in the room except a small one in the bathroom which was very inconvenient.

The separate bedroom option worked great for our stay.

Staff were very friendly! The breakfast was the best especially kuya chef cooking fresh eggs while entertaining us. Best hotel we’ve ever stayed at so far.

Booked a room for my son and he was refused once he arrived as cc was not in his name. Rude managers no flexibilty

The staff at the check in and breakfast were very friendly and helpful. When the chef heard my daughter was in a course, he made her a sandwich to take with her. That was over and above!

We really enjoyed our stay at Element West. From the moment we checked in the staff was very accommodating and we received excellent service during our whole stay. We will definitely stay here again. The location is very central and the room was great.

This was our second stay at this hotel and everytime we are reminded why we always keep coming back. The staff is amazing, everyone is so helpful, friendly, and kind. We enjoy everything from the free breakfast, to the pool/hot tub and the kitchenette in the rooms. There are no hidden fees! We will definitely stay here again next time we visit!

They had very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast was a very nice touch. I would recommend this place to my friends and I would definitely stay here again.

Very convenient west end location. Staff were very courteous and helpful but their system was quite slow and check in was inordinately slow. Rooms at the front have a lot of road noise, we were move to a quieter room facing the rear of the building for the following 2 nights which was much better. The full breakfast included was lovely! They also provided a nice wine hour with cheese on our first night but they only offer that Monday to Thursday. Overall a good value for the money.

Very close to West Edmonton mall and lots of restaurants around the hotel.

Very impressed with the modern design: King Sofa bed, a full kitchenette & supplies (dining table, stove/full fridge/microwave/pots/dishes/cutleries etc!), beautiful & clean efficient bathroom with glass shower, and a large screen TV. Parking outside & underground was appreciated, & did not have trouble finding spots despite a busy long week break. Continental breakfast was superb! And the staff are very caring & meticulous. As for improvement, definitely can hear people walking upstairs & the walls not fully soundproof, but we’ve had worst in the past. The hotel is also situated in a one way street (along with other hotels on the strip) so getting in/out can be tricky at times. Mid-price range, and we did not book with a discounted price, but for a family of 5, this was perfect for us. Close to dining places & amenities (Walmart is behind the hotel), and minutes away from WEM. Thanks!

The hotel is convenient and clean.

They always provide a warm breakfast station everyday. The location is the best for WEM visits too.

Pros: . Per friendly (free) . Underground and surface parking available (free) . Buffet breakfast (free) . Eco friendly . Rooms smell so clean . No noise from other rooms . 10min to west Ed mall . Super close to a Walmart and a bunch of shops to grab goodies Cons: . Pool is small and shared with the Sheraton Hotel next door. No slides or anything specific for kids. Not possible to do lane swimming and share with kids in the pool, no room for that. A few lounge chairs. . Didn't like that the gym looks into the pool, but their side is semi-tinted. Just creepy. . Cleanliness of the pool/area wasn't great . Towels are provided, but weren't available when we went.

Really loved everything except the breakfast was not great. More variety please.

Breakfast was lovely with the chef greeting us and bringing perfectly cooked eggs etc to us. Nice juice options and lots of other choices available. The pool area was clean and wonderfully quiet- no water slides or splashing. Our room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed. Very pleasant staff throughout.
