Motel 6-Albany, NY

I had a zoom meeting and had a table to place my laptop, but no chair. I had to conduct my business zoom meeting by sitting on the bed. The bathroom sink was very small with little room for my toiletries or to plug in my electric hair setter. The toilet paper was balanced on the handicap accessibility rod because there was no Way to attach it to the toilet roll. The only thing that was good was the price but I doubt I’ll ever come back to you.

First of all, they have NO LUGGAGE CARTS!!! I had to physically carry all my luggage to my upstairs room 3 times! No wash cloths either in the room. Only 1 towel and 1 hand towel. It was ne and my girlfriend staying so i had to go to che k in to get another towel and hand towel. The place reacked with marijuana smoke on mt way to the room when ee got back from dinner and the hallway was VERY hot! Tried to sleep early and kids were running up and down the hallway! Never again will i stay here! Adios Super 8!

First room no AC or working TV

Picked this hotel because of the price and location. Just wanted a place to sleep next to the highway on my way to nyc. Altough I am not picky and can sleep pretty much anywhere, this was terrible. The faucet leaked and we had to put a garbage can underneath, only one light out of three was working, phone was broken, sheets had stains, the hallways smelled bad. Stay elsewhere if you can.

The motel smells musty and moldy as soon as you walk in the front door, if I hadn't been so tired I would have looked around for a different hotel. There was no tv in the room and the beds were very uncomfortable. I couldn't believe that Expedia would even have this Motel on their site. I was very disappointed.

The bathroom door was broken near the floor. The security chain was broken and didn’t work. There was blood on the walls. No breakfast just coffee. Lotta strange characters hanging out.

There was no way to get near our room except through the front office doors. The side doors near our room no longer had a tap system to get in. VERY INCONVENIENT The floor in our room was sticky. I guess you get what you pay for. Price was very low.

This motel needs work ! There was blue and orange paint on the walls and furniture. The toilet didn’t flush properly. The toilet seat was broken. The toilet paper holder was broken. The towel rack was as missing could see where it once was. There were no towels in the room there was one wash cloth on the sink nothing else. Tried to call the front desk for towels but the phone didn’t work. We were on the second floor and I just had knee surgery so I couldn’t go up and down the stairs to get towels. There was trouble with the key but we finally got in. I have stayed at many motels this was by far the worst!

The rooms were dirty and smelled. Not one ice machine worked. Lobby dirty. Charged us a fifty dollar deposit that they said Expedia would refund. Please let us know when refunded.

I parked my car right outside the window and still felt I wouldn’t be able to sleep listening for broken glass. 2 security guards posted up at the doors (propped open and ill attended anyway). The room was extremely dirty, food left in the refrigerator from previous guests, hair and dirt in the bathroom and on the floors, towels and microwave were filthy, sheets and furniture had burn holes, ac was missing the front venting so you could see right inside of it. We ended sleeping in the car in the parking lot.

Hotel room was not clean enough for the price of the room. The toilet didn’t flush properly which was disappointing and a mouse was able to enter my room through the space underneath the door and that was disappointing as well. The location was very convenient which was a plus.

The most dirty hotel I have ever been in. The cigarette smell was awful and made me sick.

The place was disgustingly dirty and worn down. English was not the native tongue of the person at the front desk. There were no towels in the room and it smelled like smoke. I went back to the front desk to complain about the smoke and he said you will lose your deposit if you smoke in the room. Even if they collected the deposit for the previous person that smoked in the room, they made no attempt to remove the smoke stench. The drawer on the dresser was broken. The light next to the bed didn’t have a lightbulb and the sheets were stained I slept on top of the bed in my sweatpants that i wear to the gym because I would not crawl under the covers. They had a coin operated washer and dryers and it seemed like a homeless shelter. I can’t believe Hotels.com even had it as an option on their site for this place. It was absolutely disgusting. Even though I have used Hotels.com for 80-90% of my reservations, i will not use them again. Let me upload my pics and a video and you will see this is an accurate description.

I got back home to Vermont, with my brand new sheets I purchased because this place was disgusting, and I saw a large bedbug crawling on the pile of laundry I was waiting to bring in the house. I will be testing the process to get compensated by Motel 6, because this whole experience has been a travesty. Full review below... ------ In town for a concert and not picky about my hotel rooms. The room was filthy. Under the mattress was crumbs and food. The ceiling was falling in from water damage. The air conditioner worked but was covered in dirt. The headboard fell off the wall and revealed massive holes. I brought my disgusting pillowcases and asked for new ones and was given two equally disgusting pillowcases but with a massive hair ball attached. I was there for 5 minutes before I found a local Target and bought my own set of sheets and pillows. If I had to guess, 75% of occupancy is long-term tenants with no other options in life. Hard pass.

Absolutely disgusting, wish I read the reviews before going here. Pillows had stains, room was disgusting, shower had hairs all over it, and the entire place smelt like cigarettes. Never again.

Not the very worst I've stayed at, but wouldn't stay there again. Found a cockroach crawling up the wall within a few minutes, the pillows were super thin, and there was an overall stench in the place.

Crumbs on the floors, on the bed. Noisy. Checkin was done while the guy was on call with family, very unprofessional.

The room was relatively clean but there was a lot of debris on the floor and black flecks of some thing or another all over the bedspreads underneath the comforter. Also, the remote control did not have a back on it, so the batteries fell from their place every time I picked it. There were two or three people in the unit across the hall & the unit next-door to mine, screaming and yelling and making an incredible disturbance at an ungodly hour slamming doors and what not.. I have no idea what was going on or why they were occupying two rooms.

Front desk was very helpful. Had an issue with my card and door. Not sure if the batter in the lock was dying but it had some issues turning the deadbolt. There were high amount of cigarette burns in my blankets and sheets. I even got poked by a broken piece of plastic that was in my bed. There were also no wash cloths. I did have to remind myself that it was a Motel 6 and not the Ritz. I didn’t expect too much coming in. It was a warm 4 walls once the heater kicked in and the bed itself was comfortable.

Water faucet for shower did not work. Neighboring room had TV blasting loud all night. Complained to office desk at 1am and they did eventually quiet down. However, lack of a shower and interrupted sleep made for one of my worse stays.

The hallways smell terrible, my bathroom had a dirty tub (luckily, I didn't plan on showering there, only needed a place to sleep for one night), some towels were stained, towel holder was broken, EXTREMELY NOISY during the ENTIRE NIGHT. I couldn't sleep at all! People slamming doors, talking loudly, I could smell cigarette smoke from my room. STAY AWAY!!!

Garbage in places like in the drawers. Nothing was clean or has been cleaned. People randomly banging on our door. I booked for 2 nights but only stayed for one. I told the front desk about the abuse next door to please call the cops but nothing was done.

For the overall price it was what you paid for. For a kings bed at $125 the sheets were clean and the bed was made. There was crumbs on the counter and hair on the table and counter space. I wiped down everything with cleaning products and got no grime. I'd say it's just a little run down and needs a paint job. But you get a safe place to rest, ac, and a room. Overall, with a tight budget I would stay again.

The beds were so comfortable, the doors where a little loud at night, but were very happy and would return

My son’s pillow was dirty and there was a lot of noise and vulgarity in the hallway, early in the morning.

This place was dirty and poorly furnished. Beds sagged in the middle like a hammock. Floors were dirty. The bathroom had a hole in the wall with toilet paper stuffed into it. The tub was missing fixtures. The light fixtures were damaged. Overall it was not something I'd recommend taking anyone but a prostitute too.

The toilet is dirty, there is only one towel for a couple, there was nobody at front desk I waited for over than 15 minutes for the check in. The worst place that I have stayed. Unfortunately I paid in advance, I otherwise I would have leaved for another option. Don’t stay there.

Staff was responsive and friendly. But room was dirty—there was garbage under the bed, food (I hope it was just food) on the wall, and no towel rack in the bathroom.

The 2 ladies who ran the front desk were fantastic. Polite friendly and accomading. Housekeeping and maintenance and laundry were also wonderful. I give each one of them 5 stars.

This was a extremely bad experience. Staff was not on the same page with policies, pictures do not look like the room in person. The toilet bowl didn’t work properly. The tv remote was broken.

the place was nightmarish - a person tried to kick the door in and break in to several rooms including mine on Saturday morning at 10 am. I called the front desk and told them there was a person trying to kick in people's doors and that they needed to send security and they did not care. The assailiant stood at our door for five minutes kicking it and demanding to be let in befor eworking his way down the hal;l doing the same to several roooms In addition the place was extremely filthy with your feet sticking to the floor in your room, filthy bathrooms, cockroaches and litter in the dimly lit hallways. I slept in my clothes on top of the blanket. I was worried about bed bugs or scabies. It felt like purgatory. We were literally hesitant to leave our room without a group of us for protection.

Was offered Meth when I arrived. No one was at the front desk until 20 minutes, thankfully it took that time to see this place was full of druggies living their full time including prostitutes. I left right away. Expedia should remove this crackhouse and compensate this poorly run motel 6. Very scary.

I’m not in the habit of the habit of badmouthing places. This place was not the type of hotel/ motel I’ve been before. I think the majority of the residents lived in the place permanently. I didn’t feel safe but that’s just me. Someone else may have felt differently. My room was clean. My bathroom was clean.

We booked this hotel because it was a good price for 5 rooms, and everything else along our route was booked up. I should've read previous reviews before booking. The hotel felt very unsafe. The hallway smelled of weed and urine. My room had stains on the bedding, mosquitos and flies buzzing around. The window to outside did not lock. The toilet in the bathroom was leaking. There was paint or something splattered on the "desk" area. The photos that Expedia has for this property are NOT actual photos. The entry area...completely empty of furniture. Trash in the parking lot. There were five of us, and NO ONE felt safe....and we've stayed in some bad places before. There were also just some random people hanging around that looked like their only purpose to was to conduct some shady business. Please do not stay here. The rooms are cheap because this hotel is an absolute dumpster fire, and needs to be shut down and the building condemned. You know it's a bad place when you start searching for another hotel almost immediately after checking in. I wish I could say it was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. But that would only be true if we'd actually stayed there.

You are better sleeping in your car. Motel smells like urine, room is dirty, locks do not work on the door. Just awful - stayed in the room for less than 5 minutes then left. Do not book here even if it is free - not worth it.

The property and staff were fine. The location and long-stay guests, like any city, had it's lows. Not recommended for, say, a single lady traveler. Let's just say that some music in the night, and some loud conversations, suggested some less considerate guests.
