Clean rooms, friendly staff great location, very affordable

Pros and cons. Pros: only a block or two away from the subway, with a direct line to Manhattan. Quiet, good for sleep. Cons: like many hotels, the shower has no door to close, so water sprays all over the floor. Worse, despite making a reservation ahead of time, they have our room away to people who checked in earlier (something I've never heard of before), so we ended up in a basement room with a really sticky bathroom door that was hard to open and close.

The hotel was good for what I needed. It did not have a microwave or coffee machine in the room, but there was a microwave downstairs in the kitchen area. The staff was nice and helpful as well and they did provide a refrigerator upon my request.
