Great location in Soho, two close excellent subway connections. Wonderful and friendly staff (front desk as well as the cleaning and technicians). Rooms clean, with coffee and water provided. No mini fridge though - something for European travelers to note. The lift is very slow however, and my VPAY cards (from NL/Europe) could not be accepted by the machine which was a hastle. I have changed several rooms, and in some the issue of single-glazed windows on the street side is real: the traffic noise is terrible and could not sleep. The rooms on the other side of the hotel - no such problems.

Terrible value. Everything about the room and physical plant was fine. Price was 2x the value. The only elevator in hotel needed maintenance. Sign posted the night before that there would be no elevator service the next day. Staff could not provide any additional info about how to get up and down the 12 floors

We loved the hotel overall, our only complaint was that the room did not have a mini fridge. We were in the area for 4 days, which made it hard to bring any restaurant leftovers back or save money by buying our own groceries. Other than that, we loved the hotel and would stay again!

We loved this hotel! Rooms are small but it’s NYC, you don’t need much. A lot of great places to eat, from fine dining to holes in the wall, diners and cafes. Easy walk to Chinatown and World Trade. The hotel was clean, staff helpful. Elevator wasn’t working but stairs were easy and fast. Plenty of towels, good view and an easy stay to enjoy Soho. Would definitely stay again!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating: could use bathroom, was able to hold bags in the lobby before check-in and after check-out. Offered free pastries & coffee in the morning, cookies and lemonade in the afternoon. Close walk to the subway and shopping nearby. Location was great. Clean room and normal-sized space for NYC. 2-double bed room was two fulls. 3rd floor and could hear some people out Friday night but otherwise noise level wasn't too bad

Rooms are very small. Our bathtub was “peeling” paint on the floor of it and had some mold. There was not much storage for our stuff. Biggest annoyance was rooms don’t come with a mini fridge. Only upon request for $25 for your stay. We asked for a fridge and didn’t get one until our second day of our stay because they forgot. And then the one they brought us was broken and all our food went bad.

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was not big at all but that was not a worry since the rate was unbeatable. There were just some little unclean places here and there. For example, I found a hair in the bed that was not mine, the floor in the elevator clearly hadn’t been vacuumed in a while, and the flooring in the room wasn’t the best. Other than that, front desk was helpful, the rate was amazing, and I would see myself coming back to the Solita Soho Hotel!

My room was never cleaned for 4 days , one of the beds had a hole at the end so searing on the edge wasn’t an option . I had to use the same towel all 4 days and walking in the room after a shower got my feet’s all dirty .

The staff was very friendly. However, the windows are quite old, and you can hear all the traffic noise, even someone whistling on the street, even if you are on the 10th floor, as I was. The street noise is not only loud but also ongoing, with ambulances, firetrucks, police patrols, car honks, dogs, people partying nearly 24 hours a day, and construction noise from 5:30 am until 6-7 pm. If you plan to stay here, it might be helpful to bring earplugs, a sleeping aid, and something to soundproof the windows. Thank you for considering this information.

The first night, the faucet of bathroom is broken and got fixed the next day. But there is no internet all the time and nobody fixed it until the date I leave. The room is cold even using the highest temp of the air condition. But the location is excellent (near to Soho, china town, little Italian).

You can’t find a better location or value in SoHo but you do have to make some compromises like hard beds, and in our case with two queen sized beds, the windows aren’t sealed properly and the room got very drafty on the higher floors. They moved us to the 3rd floor and it was slightly better. Very nice staff. All for around $200 night including taxes and fees.

Very conveniently located and a great location. Service was meh- it felt perfunctory more than service-oriented. If I hadn't lived in NYC before, I'd think the hotel itself was unsafe. It felt like a guest house more than a hotel. The room was pretty much the bed and very little room to walk around it. (There was a little desk and a closet, but they weren't relevant to my 1 night stay). The door to the room was right by the foot of the bed and I could hear doors opening and closing. The TV was enormous for such a small room, and the remote was indecipherable so I didn't bother to watch anything. The bathroom was nice and the hot water incredible. Bed was comfortable. No view - just looked into the dark window well where there were 3 ventilation units. Heat worked well and the heating unit was not overly loud.

OK. This hotel is TINY! We did 3 adults in a room. It was perfectly fine for us, but we were pretty good at traffic control. The staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly. Solid downtown option. Clean and comfortable in a compact space. Only issue was check in as the person at the desk was not there when I arrived and it was well over 10 minutes until they returned. A line to wait is fine, but this person was off outside of the hotel. No USB ports in room, but you could probably plug in your Ethernet.

From the moment we arrived to the time we checked out, we had nothing but warm welcoming interactions. Check-in was efficient. We enjoyed the free Starbucks coffee and pastries in the lobby in the morning and the cookies and tea in the evenings. The manager, Keith, is accommodating, friendly, and professional, as is the Front desk Mgr., Judi. We will absolutely return to The Solita Soho Hotel!

We were promised an early check in at noon by the man working the front. When we came back at noon to check in he was incredibly rude and snippy saying we could not check in until 3. When we asked him why he was very submissive and would not give us a real answer and offered no apology for the delay. He had a horrible attitude when he was the one who told us noon in the first place when we initially arrived. Not to mention, I called weeks in advance to request this early check in. The location was the only good thing about this hotel. Elevator was terrible, staff was rude, floors in the rooms were dirty.

Stayed here many times due to the great location and ‘no frills’ rooms which are perfect for a stay in NYC. On this occasion there was a problem with our booking that we had pre-paid for via Hotels.com as it had been mysteriously cancelled. The front of house manager, Judith, went above and beyond to sort this out for us and they managed to add compadre our booking. Excellent service!

Solita Soho hotel was a good experience overall. **Pros**: - Very well located in Soho/Little Italy/Chinatown. - Plenty of food and café options. - Small room, but clean bathrooms and a comfortable bed. **Cons**: - Noise in the area at night. - Small hotel with no luxuries. My recommendation: if you need a very convenient place at a good price, and keep your expectations low, this is a great option.

The location was excellent. Walkable to almost anything you might need. We easily walked to the West Village and to the Brooklyn Bridge. Unlimited shopping within mere blocks. Easy subway access. The room was indeed small but worked for 4 people.

The hotel was clean and the front desk girl was very helpful and accommodating since we were traveling with two babies. My favorite part was the location, close to chinatown, Little Italy, shopping, etc..

Acceptable and affordable place to stay if you're coming in late from the airport and want to be in the city the next day. The room reminded me of one of those super small places in Europe, but it was clean and they had a double headed shower, some breakfast in the morning. Night staff was neutral, but morning staff were very nice.

Great location and bare bones, extremely small room. Very nice staff! But bathroom had long hair from previous occupant all over the tub/shower. Free Starbucks in the morning is the only amenity. For $500, I expected a little more.

The property is the best value for your money - with nearby dining bars, boutique shopping while also walkable to all subways and safe neighborhood. They have very friendly staff and supportive services including my kids favorite hot choco bar with cookies in afternoon and morning pastries from Starbucks! We will be back on next trip to nyc.

Wonderful that they provide free coffee and pastries in the morning and tea and lemon water during the day. Just made anytime spent in the hotel nicer and more comfortable.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating: could use bathroom, was able to hold bags in the lobby before check-in and after check-out. Offered free pastries & coffee in the morning, cookies and lemonade in the afternoon. Close walk to the subway and shopping nearby. Location was great. Clean room and normal-sized space for NYC. 2-double bed room was two fulls. 3rd floor and could hear some people out Friday night but otherwise noise level wasn't too bad
