Kingwood Resort & Golf Club

What a beautiful resort! Surrounded by a manicured golf course. Just enough out of town to be very quiet. I was very impressed by the spa. Each men and women sections had its own steam room, a sauna, a big jacuzzi, lockers, showers, all extremely well maintained. We also loved the huge indoor pool with a view of the forest, and the gym with at least 15 pieces of equipment. I couldn't believe it. All free with your room. Not crowded at all either. We will be back.

this place does not look anything like the pictures, that being said it was clean but defiantly needs to be updated, you can tell its old with popcorn ceilings and some was coming off, old rug on the floor must be at least 20 years old, the bed was comfortable, bedding clean but nothing much, sliding door had some white film all over it, porch needs to be pressure washed and painted, when there are other guess you can hear everything, but not always busy. Big bummer was the restaurant was not open but a few days a week and leave you to have to go out for food. No microwave in the rooms, do have a small fridge. There was no room cleaning/makeup while we were there only cleans after guess leave. We didn't see anything on the property to do as the pool was closed didn't see a spa, the internet didn't work all the time, the tv didn't work the last 2 nights we were there. There was not much staff working and sometime when we would walk into the welcome center for things like more coffee or something no one was around, even after waiting for 15 minutes. There was no winery operating there, there was a good number of golfers, however if you plan on sleeping in that won't happen because of the ground maintenance that starts at 7am so all you hear is the machines like mowers, and blowers going. This was a very big disappointment and was not worth the money they charge to stay there. We will not be going back

The location is excellent and close to all the attractions. The grounds were beautifully manicured with a golf course! Friendly staff.
