Mid-Beach Coastal Apartments

Pool was unavailable for 3 weeks, gym is in disarray, tennis court was locked up and security would even let me barrow a pen and she had 4 sitting right on her desk. Just terrible.

POOL IS CLOSED! staff isnt helpful, Check in took forever. Valet parking is all they offer and it takes a while unless you tip them big or be prepared to wait. Its not trust worthy!! They brought me the wrong car once and didnt check to see if i was the actual owner. The AC in the apt was very noisy! Could not sleep with it on. PROS:We got a city view which was nice, beach access is convenient. kitchenett came in handy with the basics

If you have any kind of disability or are handicap this is a terrible building to come to... Doors to rooms are not ada compliant a wheelchair will not fit through... There is no ramp or lift to get in the front doors of the building... They want you to go all the way to the beach entrance on the back of the motel... About a two block travel to go to the back entrance and then take the pool elevator to your floor... You will have to do this every time that you leave and coming the building... They have a lift let's say it's not working during my whole week's day they never fixed it and when I was here a year and a half ago it was not working... So I doubt if they ever fix it

I stayed here May 25-May 28 to celebrate my birthday. I’ve stayed at this location a few times before and have never had a problem. I enjoy the beach access and pool, but this time the pool was closed for construction. This was upsetting to find out because I was not told until the day before my reservation. One of the main reasons for my stay was the pool access. Had I been informed sooner that there was no pool access during this time, I would have chosen another location. By the time I was told I was unable to cancel my reservation. The lack of transparency was disappointing.

No option to self park makes leaving very inconvenient and expensive. Getting bags to room is difficult since you can’t take the carts to your car which is down the lobby stairs. No heater in room and AC is very noisy.

My main complaint is the you can't get extra linen for anything. The beds are a little low to the ground. And it is really annoying having to go through valet anytime tou want to leave and go back. But, we had am ocean front room. It was so peaceful. The beach was fairly quiet. I'd stay here again.

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We booked for two nights. On the first evening when we arrived, we noticed that the hair dryer, the microwave, and several outlets weren’t working. So I called the front desk around 6:30 PM to let them know the hair dryer wasn’t working and that we would need one for the evening. The man on the phone said, ‘I’m sorry, ma’am, there’s no one working at this hour, so you’ll have to wait until tomorrow.’ I kindly replied that I needed a hair dryer that evening and that I didn’t mind coming down to the front desk to exchange mine for a working one. He replied again, ‘I’m sorry, ma’am, no one is working, you’ll have to wait until tomorrow.’ So I gave up on the hair dryer situation and we went out in Miami. We got back to the hotel at 1:00 AM and waited an hour and a half for valet parking!!!!!!! On Sunday morning, we woke up early to go to brunch, and this time we waited another hour for valet parking!! Later that day, we returned to drop off the car again—another hour-long wait just to drop it off. My husband even asked the valet staff if they needed help and also asked to speak to a manager. There was no manager at the hotel, and certainly not at 1:30 AM. This hotel is a disaster in every possible way. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

The view was fantastic but that is the only good thing about this property. The bathroom door doesn't close so there is no privacy. There were only 2 bath towels and 2 beach towels. There were no hand towels or kitchen towels. I felt very unclean with no ability to fix it. The pillows are lumpy and the mattresses are uncomfortable. The air conditioning unit in the room is extremely loud and taped in the window with painters tape. It was very difficult to sleep with all the noise. Worst of all, the valet is a complete mess!!!!! It routinely took 45 minutes to get or drop-off our car. Monday was so bad that we ended up needing to get an uber because the 2 hours that we allotted to get our car and to our event was not enough time for the mess at the valet. Several uber drivers told us this hotel is the worst one on the strip.

Do not ever rent on this property. Some of the worst customer service, and the worst property I have ever been on. Both showers did not work in our room. The TVs didn’t work. You constantly have to call for towels and they deliver them when they feel like it. You have to empty out your own trash and they leave you zero cleaning supplies. They shut the pool down for three days out of our five day stay. The curtains in our room, kept falling to the floor, so I had to put blankets up in their place. They don’t allow early check-in, and everybody checks in at three, so you end up waiting in a ridiculously long line. Check out is also at 10. The only accepted valet cars. You wait forever and a day to get your car every time you need to leave the premises.

The bad was so dirty.

It is an old building ugly it needs to be demolished and built back. Expedia users DO NOT stay there. The bath was clogged, dirty and nasty

Its very poor management. location ; beach view is top notch but cleanliness is very poor. bed sheet cover is old. So maintainance should be updated.

I cant even begin to describe who disgusting this place is . Mold, dirty , stained sheets . Hair from someone else. The toiled ewww. When i complained about the water being cold i got the rudest reply . Please dont stayyy there pleaseee

location was very good. Apartment is very old and not clean at all. Old blood stain was found in the bathroom and the tub had signs of mold.

Not sure how this place is still open. The room was disgusting. The shower would fill up with water and the water was yellow. We specifically asked for extra towels weeks before checking in and received none. The front desk told us the only way to get extra was to contact our host who told us we had to go downstairs and wash them in the laundry room. The AC unit dripped water immediately upon arrival and never stopped despite us never opening the balcony door. There are no paper towels provided. The sheets had hair, sand and stains all over them. Horrible.

The photos on the Internet are not what this property actually represents. The hotel is in very bad condition, it smells bad and the elevators always have problems. When we got to the room we also realized that it smelled bad and everything was very battered and old. The bathroom was in very poor hygienic condition. The small kitchen did not invite use at all. The microwave was not working. The beds were super uncomfortable and the sheets and pillows smelled very bad. The room has very poor insulation, we could hear everything that was happening in the hallways (people shouting, children playing with a ball in the middle of the night, young people coming from the party, etc.) It is not a place where you can rest. I rented a room with “Ocean View” and the only thing you could see through the small windows was the dirty ceiling with pigeons in the rooms below (in the background and in the distance, a blue line of the sea). The hotel pool is ugly and there are always people drinking and smoking (it is not for children). Unfortunately it was a quite stressful experience, we traveled to Miami for the first time and we wanted to spend a dream weekend, just as the photos show (but it wasn't even close). To name something positive, I can say that the majority of the service and parking staff are quite friendly and helpful and of course the direct access to the sea is wonderful. But I couldn't recommend this place nor do I plan to return again in my life.

Expectation and reality did not match. I think they need to renovate the apartment, the shower in the bathroom was old and did not open and close well.

Pros close to beach and pool Cons maintenance staff will forget about you don’t even bother trying to get something looked at. This is our 4th time here and unfortunately this time our room had a broken AC and it was 80 degrees plus every night sleeping was terrible and couldn’t get another room sadly. If it wasn’t for that fact it would’ve been fine

The rooms are old. The bathroom needs to be remodeled, the bathtub is so old. The bedroom was fine, but this time the room was in the back of the building with a long small window on the top of the wall looking to a roof and the ocean was a little bit in the view. Last year U had a beautiful view looking to the water canals of Collins Avenue. No this time. Awful.

Great location, literally right next to the beach and about 20-25 minutes away from downtown Miami/south beach. Amenities are amazing- the heated pool is a gem and the bar by the pool has great service, good priced drinks/food with very friendly staff. The gym was under construction but will be nice to see what they do with it. There’s also several shops available including a Cuban breakfast spot with fresh coffee. Honestly you get what you pay for. The room had several issues, from having no lock (it was broken off) to the shower head falling off, and the room being freezing with no working temp control. But for the price the view was great and it really makes up in amenities. Oh and the power went out on the last day of my stay. I had to walk my suitcases down 9 flights of stairs. Lol. But the bright side is a very friendly valet member helped me. Just know what you’re getting for the price. I would honestly stay here again. It seems that the building is working on fixing the problems, doing some renovations, and the staff was very friendly.

The microwave smoked and not all the outlets worked.

The lobby was nice but not our room was not. (425) It was basically a closet next to the trash shoot. There is NO ocean view. The windows are up too high to look out and when you do it's just the roof. The bed broke and wasn't fixed until the next morning. Tub and floor was PAINTED and peeling. Very cheap and uncomfortable. Outlets for microwave didn't work. Elevators were a nightmare, check in was a nightmare. Security "didn't have my information" so I had to go to the realtor in the basement and beat on the door to which NO ONE answered. Took two hours to check in. The pool was nice but the tiki bar closed at 6pm every night. Restaurant wasn't open. Beach was very small and a straight drop down to the water. 5 ft in and your up to your neck. Not good for kids. There's no entertainment to walk too. If you wanted to go somewhere you had to deal with the valet parking. We basically stayed in our closet of a room all week.

Check in process is horrible. They have the security guards pulling double duty trying to check in, hand out and validate parking passes for dozens of guests at a time. There were only four guests in front of me but it took 40 minutes for them to get to me. After waiting all that time they told me I have no room. The room I paid for was given to someone else. The security guards had to call the managers who tried to tell me it was Expedia's fault. After another 30 minutes I was given another room which was not at all what I booked. I booked an ocean view suite but they have me a non ocean view studio and said they still couldn't change it the next day. Add to that, the bed had no top sheet, just a fitted one and the comforter. It was also on wheels without a headboard which caused it to freely roll around when you laid on it. The wifi did not work and the pool is under construction. I could not recommend this hotel as there were way too many problems.

We stayed for 4 days and were very pleased with our experience. The administration was always available and responsive, which made our stay even more comfortable. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend!

No room service. And was not informed about it until 2 days after arriving! I asked for clean towels and they told me to go wash my dirty towels. I called expidia and they couldn’t to anything .. so they got me half off the price (still pending) I week into my stay I asked for clean sheets and again they told me to go wash them but eventually they changed them!! Stay away!!’ Do not stay here! By the way security is rude beyond belief..

Overall, it was a good experience. However, there were some complications initially with entering the room because it was poorly explained. Nice pool good access to the beach. Good amenities!

The experience at Girasole Apartment was beyond disappointing and completely disrupted my plans. Upon arrival, the valet lost my car keys, forcing us to wait hours for a locksmith, which threw off our entire schedule for the day. The inconvenience didn't stop there. At check-in, there was another delay because the staff had failed to inform the front desk of our reservation. When I finally made it to the apartment, I was horrified to find the bathroom filthy and the air conditioning unit leaking water all over the kitchen counter and floor. I had to place a towel on the floor, which was completely soaked through. As if that wasn't enough, there was alarm testing for three consecutive days, making it impossible for me to work. When I requested a refund to move to a different property, Girasole Apartment refused to let me leave, despite the numerous issues I faced. Eventually, I was moved to a new suite that didn’t have these problems, but the lack of an internet password caused further delays in my work. This entire experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I will never return to this place and will make sure others are aware of the terrible service provided.

Communication was nonexistent. Water pressure was low the entire stay. I asked for someone to come straighten the room and bring clean linens. They never came. The neighbors next door slammed the door all day and no one did a thing about it but I was threatened to turned the tv down or get fined. Also the AC barely worked so being in the room was super uncomfortable. The apt is in a building that is well kept and on the beach. If you have a car and don’t need to be in your room like that it’s great. Also the valet was amazing. Everyone was nice and always bought the car really fast

Swimming pool is also convenient with super warm water. Facility is a bit outdated but everything is working. Restaurant and shops conveniently located on property. 20 minutes Uber to south beach. Room condition exactly as pictured, we booked 1532, amazing ocean view perfect for watching sunrise. 3 large double/queen bed, so spacious. Room decor contemporary and exactly as pictured. Room is decent clean. Provides both towel and beach towel. Room facilities could use some update, but working fine. Great value for this location with amazing ocean view. Would stay again next time.

Loved the pool. Loved the ease of beach access. Owner of the property was very responsive when asking for more towels etc. Room was decent as well very clean. The only thing that was minor is it's not really near any beach shops or anything like that. They have a couple shops in the hotel, but they are pretty pricey. Overall, we had a really good time.We stayed 6 nights.

I love everything about this property. Easy beach access, transportation easily accessible, the convenient stores in the building just everything was wonderful.

The location of the accommodation is very good with great transport connections.

The stay was great with the best part being the closeness to the beach. The hotel had portable fold up chairs to take to the beach which was nice. The apartment could benefit from some updating but it was good. We enjoyed our stay here.

Property is run down. Room smelled like malathion! Doorlock was unreliable but quickly fixed. Certain necessities were absent. Less a suite and more a room with a wetbar. Windows were screwed permanently closed. Good pool & pool bar. Valet is crowded but quick if you tip (which is expected and deserved).

The lobby looked nice, but the hallway to our room smelled of vomit and it lingered into our room, the rooms were dirty. Staff was subpar. Hotel restaurant closed an hour early and opened late (nowhere else to get food), service was terrible, food was mediocre at best.

Had a nice stay, and it was in a great spot to get to get on the beach. Its not walking distance to many places but the have a restaurant, bar, shops, etc all in the hotel on the base level. Howevever the door handle that went to the balcony broke when i tried closing the door. But over all, i would recommend staying here

The elevator was a "smart" elevator. Didn't always seem to be all that smart. Not timely. 90% of the time stairs were taken. Slowness of elevator is my only complaint. Positives: Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and helpful! The restaurant service was always prompt has a great vibe. Location is great!

I was quite pleased with my apartment. It was right on the beach, with a view of the beach. My room was on the 16th floor and must admit for as big a structure it is and only 4 elevators, the elevators were quite fast. There was a convenience store on lower lobby and main lobby. They had a laundry room. I will definitely come back here.
